  1. Red electronic waste bin on the 3rd floor in Airport Plaza.
  2. Found a couple of articles: https://www.bangkokpost.com/life/tech/2595249/true-launches-e-waste-recycling-programme https://thebeat.asia/bangkok/terra/environment/e-waste-in-thailand-how-to-dispose-your-used-electronics The link in TheBeat doesn't work. https://www.earththailand.org/en/
  3. Thanks for the information. A little off the original topic but for registering myself to be able to notify the following documents are required: Attached file Document 1. Business license or signed copy business registration confirmation 2. Letter of authorization to conduct the registration 3. Copy of ID card of person giving authorization person I am assuming my chanote tee din and ta bien baan and passport will do. I ask last time I did my TM30 at CM immigration but didn't feel like I got an clear answer.
  4. I just registered here tm30.immigration.go.th but didn't have a scan of my title deeds or blue book (not official) so will get those today and send them off. Let's see what happens. Will be good for the future anyway as a friend is planning to stay here when I am not at some point this year.
  5. A Thai friend suggested that somehow it is back dated to the arrival date in Thailand. My hypothetical question was what if you were to come on a camping trip in some of the national parks that allow camping. Would the "campsite" be doing it? I assume some people come and stay in a homestay kind of place and don't get registered and then move to a hotel or bigger guest where they do get registered.
  6. A friend of mine came to stay with me in my condo in Chiang Mai and I wondered about doing the TM30 at the time even though I've never done one for someone else before but she thought she would leave Thailand within the 30 day limit. If she checks in at a guest house where they do the TM30 will she still be fined when she goes to do an extension. Is the paper she would get from the guest house enough for the visa exempt extension or does that paper get stamped at immigration to become a "full" TM30. She is planning to head to the beach.
  7. Is there anything do do with broken electronic items other than put them in the bin/garbage? I've taken scrap metal to the place in Nong Hoi near the vechicle tax office but can't remember if I saw electronics.
  8. I have a friend who is a Leeds fan. Is there any official broadcast of the EFL in Thailand?
  9. Thanks for all the suggestions and advice.
  10. I have the TrueID app on my Android tab and Mecool Android TV box. I found the TV Guide and scrolled back to the game which crosses dates, currently trying ti watch Liverpool v ManU from last night before my condo security guard who is a massve Pool fan tells me the score when I leave the condo to go out this evening. I can't get it to play. Is this because it is not a custom Android box from True? I do feel this app's inteface is a nightmare of poor UI/X design. The back button usually asked you if you want to close the app but in the tv guide it says go to browse channel or category. Glad I didn't see the gooner comment at the time. Didn't get to watch that game because it wasn't "uploaded" in the full replay section in the morning when i checked and I need to get the catch up games watched early so I can get on with my days.
  11. Hello I have a 5 year old Z250SL which has almost done 10K. I don't live here that much these days and was out during quite a lot of the pandemic. Recently I noticed an occasional low pitched squeal/groan when I turn at low speed. My question is should I just take it to the Kawasaki dealer (Chiang Mai) or to my old mechanic who used to repair my original CBR150 who I met when he worked for Honda before setting up his own shop. Summarising, is it a simple job than any mechanic should be able to diagnose and fix?
  12. I found if I open this page: https://sport.trueid.net/premier-league and then do a browser search for พรีเมียร์ลีก เต็มแมตช์ I will get a series of thumbnails.
  13. Hi Is there a way to start a full replay of a game from the browser? I want to watch the Villa v Arsenal game tomorrow morning without seeing the score. I can just about manage it on the Android TV version by knowing the sequence to press on my remote whilst not really looking at the screen. It's great that BeIN sport's catchup is spolier free, wish more "broadcasters" would do the same.
  14. A friend of mine just arrived in Chiang Mai and so I was going to suggest he try withdrawing cash inside a branch with his Wise card. I haven't done that for a while so does anyone know if Bangkok and Kaskikon still do that?
  15. Dear Applicant, Visa application on hold. Please email the following document(s) to [email protected], quoting your passport number on the email subject title. - Flight details showing applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand and onward flights to another destination.) E-ticket. *Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email. Best wishes, E-Visa Team So on Friday I received this. The ticket I had uploaded was a flight from DEL to CNX via BKK. I guess as I had stated I was in the UK at the time of applying that they wanted proof of this so I emailed my LHR to DEL ticket which is where I am now. I did respond that I didn't know that an onward ticket was a requirement and then a few hours later bought my real onward ticket back to India and emailed that. Last night I received emails informing me they had receive my documents and to wait a few days, this morning India time I received my e-visa.
  16. Thanks for all the advice. I made a decision about my travel date and bought my ticket. All submitted, pretty easy once you know how, hopefully it will be granted soon.
  17. In the past I would go to the embassy in Kensington but it seems it is e-visa only now. The supporting documents page is asking for : 3 . Travel booking confirmation Haven't booked yet as it is 2.5 months away but I am leaving the UK for India on the 25th so need to apply whilst I am still in the UK. 4 . Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand Uploaded a copy of my condo title deed 5 . A confirmation letter from employer, School, Self-assessment, Pension statement I have already stated I am retired though I am not at the official retirement age. I do have self-assessment but are they asking for proof income. 6 . Identity of the person inviting you to stay e.g. Thai ID card, Passport I could ask any of my Thai friends but seems an odd question. 7 . Financial evidence: amount of not less than 20,000 THB, e.g. bank statements, sponsorship letter Uploaded a recent bank statement 8 . Document indicating current residency I recently used the front page of my UK tax return for this to open a new bank account in the UK but wouldn't the recent bank statement be enough. Strangely 5+6 are not in the list on this help page.
  18. All done, no charge. Kop khun kap Kawasaki.
  19. The reason for asking is that most search results talk about 1 year ED visas and I don't want to study Thai for a year nor have the time to spend that much time in Thailand in one go. From what I have read I would need to get a letter from an acredited school here that needs to be signed along with a copy of that person's ID card. I would be happy to study for 2-3 hrs a day Mon-Fri. I am in Chiang Mai and previously studied at Payap, YMCA and Cornerstone in that order. The reason for not just doing it on a tourist visa is that it would be helpful for me to get a Thai driving license for which I need an non-imm O visa. I always carry my IDP with an A motorcycle stamp which has been specifically checked twice in the last 2 weeeks but it would be nice to have the real thing. I assume once I have it I can keep it as long as I renew it as and when it is necessary.
  20. Is it possible to get a 3 month study visa with the intention to study for 3 months and then leave? I have been coming and going for the past 20+ years and have studied before but the most recent time was at least 15 years ago and my Thai plataued a long time ago. I feel I want to step it up to the next level as I've long since forgotten how to write and this is what I've been doing that for the other countries I spend time in but with DuoLingo. I am a UK passport holder currently in Thailand on a VE and would be planning to come back mid November after leaving next week.
  21. Today I went out to the my bike this morning the the visor on the helmet has developed a simillar patten although much less dense. It's almost spooky and I'm wondering if it is a new kind of virus and will it be me next, LOL.
  22. I didn't go eventually as my friends went back to England earlier than expected.
  23. I contacted Kawasaki on the main Thai website and received a reply a couple of days later, I responded with a photo and proof of ownership. They replied that I should take it to my local Kawasaki dealer in Chiang Mai which is where I bought it from, so I took it there this afternoon and they will, as it's a discontinued model, try to order the lens from Bangkok, and fit it for free. Thanks @Kwasaki for the sensible suggestion.
  24. Thanks for all the replies. I've visited Kawasaki in Chiang Mai several times since I noticed the problem at least once to ask how much for a replacement unit and no one said anything but I know that's not the same as asking. I will try contacting Kawasaki Thailand and send a photo. I will wait to see if I get a reply before attempting to polish the lens.
