  1. Quote " The NTC states that ambiguity arises when considering that callers have the right to shield their ID’s while receivers have the right to know who is calling them."

PersonallyI don't see the ambiguity! Callers can shield their ID if they so desire, receivers shouldn't care who is calling them and can choose not to pick up if they don't want to?

Remember the old analogue days when you took pot luck ?

    :o

  2. and .......

don't forget the extended drivers side door pocket to store the running shoes for ease of convenience to make a quick run away incase of accident.

maybe for the higher end models a a small escape pod fitted to the side of the vehicle for such purposes

    :o

    edit: sp !

  3. Got my Zafira from them abt 4yrs ago, never had any problems with GMAC and nice ppl to deal with, also yes they offer that same deal for us, 745.000THB to be exact.

Did not have time to call them about intrest rate for that "Loan" or any details as we left for work,, but they have thos kind of deal's time to time and by contacting them directly we always got more info, so im surpriced that they did not offer any information to you, we are dealin in UBON branch.

As I am now armed with a little more information I will try to tackle the Pattaya dealer again to see if they can advise me further on GMAC deals.

I'll post back if there are any revelations !

    thanks for the reply :o

  4. Hi

This was kind of touched upon in another thread

    http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=147669

So I did a bit of sniffing around and came accross GMAC, internationally first and then on the Thai Chevrolet website. I was hoping this may be the source of the "50% down and the remaining 50% over the following two years, interest free" deal that was mentioned in the other thread, but alas it appears not to be so ? or is it?

I called them up to enquire about finance deals and all I got was "contact your local dealer", which for me is Pattaya. Previously I have contacted Chevrolet, Pattaya and all I get from them is the standard set of finance deals which I believe are offered by a company named Tisco. Have Tisco cornered the market in car HP financing and therefore call the shots??

Anybody have any further advice about the above mentioned 50 % deal, experience of dealing with GMAC, or the extent of control theat Tisco seem to have over this market ?

    cheers :o

  5. I have a large two storey house. I use a Zyxel router upstairs in the office and carry round an extender when I want to use another laptop downstairs.

I use the Linksys WRE54G extender, simple but effective.

Check out the linksys.com website under routers and extenders

    cheers

  6. Hi

I have no idea about isuzu, but Chevy has always offering 0% intrest IF pay 50% of new Truck price as downpayment

rest should be payed with in 2yrs, i got my zafiral last time like that and they offering Captiva witht the same deal plus the extras as well.

I went shopping today to buy a new truck for the company. I am gonna buy a Isuzu NKR Price around 920.000 THB. I noticed 2 things

    1) There are big price differences between several official Isuzu dealers, up to 90.000 THB.

    2) There is also a big interest rate differences between the several finance companies.

Anyone have updates of the current finance rates? I know if the dealer arrange the finance, they will get a part (kick back) of it. So I think it's better to go to my own bank

    Thanks :D

I was interested to read this :o ! I am teetering on the verge of buying a new captiva, so I stopped by the Pattaya Chevvy dealership today to ask about finance packages, and got the usual 1 yr / 2yr / 3yr spiel. Double checked on the 50 % down and 0% over two year deal mentioned and they said they have and could never offer such a deal. :D

Can you provide more details of location of dealerships / finance companies that give away these deals

    thanks

  7. It's looking a bit better, he's been through various tests which confirm negative for parvo - good news - he's now been vaccinated against parvo to help build his immunity - shouldn't this be a standard vaccination for pup's in Thailand ?

He spent a few hours on IV again yesterday and when we picked him up he was defintely a bit more "perky".

He still doesn't have any appetite though ! He picked at a few pieces of chicken last night but was not interested in food or water this morning. The wife is going to try him on various tempting dishes this morning to see if it wil "kick start" his appetite, but if no success then he's going to have to go back onto IV and vitamin injections this morning. He doesn't look so dehydrated now but he has lost about a kilo this week - not too bad because he was a podgy puppy, but can't afford much more weight loss.

Is this duration normal for a bacterial infection ? - I have no experience.

Hoping he pulls out of it today, as we'll have more time over the weekend to spend with him and try and get him back to 100%

    cheers

  8. I have a sick puppy at the moment, initial suspicions are he's eaten something bad and has a form of bacterial infection in his stomach / intestine.

Been to the vets, had antibiotic jab, IV drip (first day), sub-cutaneous IV (2nd day).

He's still not eating (day 3) drinking little.

He's back in the vets this morning for further treatment / observation.

During internet research I came across "PARVO virus"

The symptoms are somewhat similar !

Is this a common problem in Thailand.

plus - any advice on how to get him eating again - tasty recipes ?
