Oh my god, the brilliant detective work involved here! I guess African men standing along the street asking, "want drugs?" might have been the first clue? Luckily it only took 25 years to pierce the veil of this well-hidden enterprise.
I'm surprised they dont have their own priority lane at the airport channeling them directly to jail.

I'm at a loss to find the words to describe such IMO deliberate misreporting.
I believe its called "been bought off".

Really? Where "democratic" elections are pointless, and the Military led Government can make up their own rules and regulations as they see fit?
It sounds a lot like the "Guided Democracy" of Indonesia a few years back. The people were not ready, they needed to be assisted in democracy, while those in power and graciously assisting, extracted as many dollars and cents as they possibly could from the country. Which reminds me, what happened to all those stuffed suitcases Scrooge McThaksin reportedly ran off with?

How can you tell me "for sure" - you know everyone in society's opinion?
I don't drink alcohol but i certainly hold nothing against those that do drink alcohol and ( unlike you ) i certainly don't make silly claims.
Ask him for a source for his info, he'll probably link some knitting instructions, thats his usual form lol!

This religious sect/christians or whatever have been there for years. It is not new.
Certainly, most of the dark fellas from a country with a big reputation selling drugs in Bangkok and Pattaya have connections with Christian churches and organisations.

steven you are an alcoholic drug abuser. please come to the realization. we are not angry with you on AN. most are probably sincerely concerned about your well being.
alcohol is a killer and the science backs it up.
Maybe we should all set up an intervention and a place in rehab for the poor delusional soul.

Yes, alcohol is a drug. It is classified as a Psychotropic Central Nervous System (CNS) Depressant, which means it has an impact on cognition, emotions, and perception.2 Alcohol slows down brain activity and can have effects on a person's mood, behavior, self-control, memory, thinking, coordination, and much more.0 Alcohol is one of the oldest and most commonly consumed recreational drugs, causing the characteristic effects of alcohol intoxication.3 According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a drug is any substance that can change how a person’s body and mind work, and alcohol fits this description.1 Alcohol use disorder is the most common type of substance use disorder in the United States.4
please note where it says alcohol is one of the most commonly used recreational drugs.
The behaviour and delusional mindset of a certain drinker on here would indicate advances well betond just recreational use.

don't you think in this land of corruption, big sugar has long fingers in the politics to be sure they will not be fined or lose money
What do you mean do nothing? Just in the last 2 weeks they have blamed Cambodia for the pollution PLUS warned people off getting carried away burning incence sticks! Thats twice as much as their usual effort!

I need to fly from Bangkok (probably DMK) to the North sometime in the next 2 weeks. I'll be buying some property and the sellers (a group of farmers) are insisting that I pay them in cash. The sum is 5M baht. I don't want the hassle of trying to withdraw that amount in cash from a branch far from where I live, so the only real option is to carry the cash with me (no option for bank transfer, cashiers cheque or anything else).
Am I likely to have any issues during security carrying this amount of cash? Driving is another option, but it's a 10 hour drive which, although I've done many times, I hate doing.
Thanks.
Can you confirm what airport, what time you will arrive and a pic to recognise you? Im sure I can help you lol!
