That's an unfair and sweeping statement. I started the thread by stating about a friend who had returned from there and gave his assessment on the place and he is well travelled around Asia.
We have heard from guys who have lived there for substantial amounts of time and some who have Filipina wives. You cannot say they are all wrong just because their experiences and knowledge differs from yours.
It's a dangerous shit hole and with that lunatic new leader should be avoided at all costs.

This regulatory nonsense is causing me a great deal of trouble. Irritable bowel syndrome, arthritic knees and two disintegrating discs in my back make my life hell without painkillers like Tramadol. I find it hard to believe that keeping a few teenagers from getting high is any excuse for interfering with the supply of medication to people like us. What was a 5 minute trip to the chemist every couple of months has turned into hours of waiting to see a doctor and repeat my symptoms every week to live a normal life.

Ah, OK. Can't think why AliExpress don't stock them - it can't be that the weight is the problem as Alibaba ship overseas.
I just now ordered something else from AliExpress, so that makes 25 things I've ordered in total.

I've lived in Asia for over 15 years. Over 95% of the expats I've met along the way no longer live in Asia. For every success story, there's 20 guys back home recovering from their shellacking. I'm still here and still employed largely by sheer dumb luck.

You can hear a pin drop in the bedroom. Always buy corner for the bedroom side so no neighbors. The TV room side occasionally gets a noisy neighbour but the TV cancells it out. It's always about the bedroom side!
Of course it won't work for studios but I'm not aware of any corner studio rooms -
