    Marriage Viisa Appliction today in Changria

     Entered when they returned from lunch today at 1 pm 

    after having travelled 85k

    Progress was slow and had to fill in numerous forms in duplicate

    From  2 30 onward things came virtually  to a stop with numbers being

    called every 10 minutes with about 30 customers in the room 

    Farangs including me were getting more frustrated with body language

    showing

    At 4-30 the bombshell was dropped and we were told to visit the

    Amphur  next door tomorrow morning to get info regarding proof of

    marriage existing to complete  the  application

    needless to say about 6 unhappy farangs walked back to cars

    having been given a 7 day stamp 

    So another 170k round trip again tomorrow

    Chaingrai Immigration New Visa Requirements

    Was wondering if anyone had been in to Immigration to ask what other options are open to proof of pension

    and if we have a option to gop to a Thai solicitor and swear by oath exectra.

    Having to find the extra finance for the bank requirements is not imposible  but  would leave my finances very stretch as I would be losing investment income

    If not I would have to seriously consider learning Thailand  and stop supporting 2 thai families

    What started off as a hobby has now unexpectedly has become a small business I have 2 males and 6 females which apart from one of each the plan was to sell as meat come Thanksgiving

    or Christmas

    Hiwever they have been laying 2/3 eggs everyday since June and have been putting them in the Incubator and Hatching virtually everyday

    I have steady flow of Thais thanks to my wife who will by poults about 3 weeks old for 100 Baht each

    I am looking for someone who will exchange a male to put fresh blood in and stop interbreeding

    Have currently 25 pouts for sale

    Anyone interested please PM me

    House Visit by Mae Sai Immigration

    I live in Thoeng Chaingrai Province and yesterday about 1pm to Immigration Men from Mae Sai arrived

    at my house about 1 pm

    The purpose of the visit was to look at my passport because the computer was saying that I had not renewed

    my visa in April and that I was on overstay.

    I gave it to them with it open and showing ny renewal stamp and 90 day reporting slip

    due on Sunday 27th July and said that I was going to report on the 28th

    They both looked at it very carefulli and said it must be a computor error and appologised

    I am wondering what will happen when I visit Immigration on Monday.??

    When I was at Mae Sai back in April I was concerned that on completion I had to ask them what desk to go to to

    obtain 90 day slip as they did not insert it or tell me where to go. to get it

    If I had not known the system I could of easily walked out with out it.

    Which probably explains yesterdays visit

    Was a bit taken back and horrified this morning to see

    a 30 ish thai couple selling baby chicken and ducks for 10/20 baht each

    chicken were egg laying chicken but was dismayed to find the some of the

    chicken had been sprayed deep yellow red or blue and a steady flow of people

    were buying 3.4 and takeing them away in small plastic bags,

    Got the impression that they were being sold as playthings and would not survive the

    handling very long

    They were selling at the back of the market where they would get less attention

    Where to buy chickens?

    Teletiger has made a post on this add implying that if you buy R I R Chicks from me

    you might get more males than females

    It appears that he was unfortunate but did not contact me

    If he had I would have done something about it for him

    I wish he had done this instead of making the comment that he did

    Turkeys Started laying eggs early

    I have a pair of turkeys about 3 years old and this year have started laying eggs 6 weeks earlier than last year

    This year started about 8th Feb wjist last year third week of March

    So far kave 8 eggs in incubator

    Fingers crossed

    I have also 2 x 1 year old pairs that have not started to lay

    yet the males have only just started strutting aroud with knecks just started to turn red and tails fanning out.

    Living in Thoeng have been using it since it opened as it is the nearest

    But over the past 3 months the store has been getting worse ever time I visit it

    Stock levels have dropped.

    Everytime I go things are in different places

    No english speaking sales staff to answer queries

    Information desk also has no english speaking person

    They just shrug there sholders and start speaking with the next thai custoner

    The place needs a real shake up

    Store is untidy with alley ways partially blocked with boxes waiting to be put

    in to half empty shelves

    Stores in Chaing Khong and Mae Sai have better range of items

    No more Chaing Kukm

    Now Chaing Khong or Chaingrau

    They are both farther away but for a better choice well worth it

    Yes Initially from 17 eggs from one female in 2 batches 1 of 11 and 1 of 6 had 15 poults but 3 months later have now only 6 the others died for various reasons

    They are strong and healthy and not getting rather big

    The original male and female are now2 and a half years old and will soon cull

    Change of Visa Refused at Mae Sai

    Because of the change in my financial situation and the strain on my marriage I today went to Mae Sai with all

    necessary requirements to chainge from a Marriage Visa to Retirement Visa

    Seeing that my current visa expires in April 2014 he refused point blank without asking any questions saying

    to change when current visa expires.

    No explaination was given

    My oyjer option is to go out of the country. getting new 3 month O and starting again which I do not want to do


    I find this decision strange
