Yes, I noticed, as 2 friends said they were unable to send international mail to or from Thailand, from Germany and to France. But I can't find any more info. Doesn't seem to be any official announcement.
And what about imports and exports? Chinese goods on Lazada?
I received a package from China 2 weeks ago, through lazada

I noticed a couple of weeks before the ban was even mentioned that stocks of some beers and wines had almost completely gone at our Big C. I remember buying the last 2 boxes of white wine and I noticed that the shelves of whiskey and spirits were also quite low. I said to my friend that at this rate it wouldn't be necessary to impose a ban on sales of alcohol.
Have they restocked during the ban? I don't know. The alcohol section is completely closed off so I can't see, but knowing their logistics, I doubt it very much.
I just flagged down the truck that delivers booze and other things to the village, one of those cash trucks. I know the guy and he said a 2 day opening of the ban, will mean nothing up here as there warehouse is completely empty, side deals and what not. He said maybe 3 to 5 days before they are back up and stocked, Bangkok will get it first. So two days of sales, is gonna be a rat <deleted> of a trick on the people up here in Issaan

That is the problem they didn't think this through, if this indeed is the plan. Unless the manufactures roll thousands of loaded trucks at midnight, i can already see the carnage, fighting over a case of lao kow, stabbings over 3 leo's.

Here is my concern with a two day allowance. Logistics! Will the manufactures be able to meet the demand? How soon could the Thai Beverage logistics start rolling, i would say you would need 2 days just to bring the booze to the markets per say. Even Makro may only keep a pallet of blend or sam song in stock, all the local shops are empty. I am sure many of the local warehouses are empty as well. They would have to release the logistics 2 days prior or it will be a mad house, and stock will be gone within an hour. Then you will have people sitting at the shops waiting on deliveries, that is a social distancing nightmare.

i have asked the wife 5 times, she has not given it to me yet, i would say its a lost cause, she is not so good at follow up

She will go back to school tomorrow, the Doctors have been running daily CBC blood tests and this morning they are satisfied she is okay. She still does not have much of an appetite but the doctor says it will improve day by day. Hate to see my little angel suffering from anything, just kills me inside.

I have also cut down all the shrubs, and all water has been emptied from any where on the property, i bought mosquito tents for each one of the kids, and I paid extra to have the interior sprayed. If there is anything i am not doing that i can please let me know. Thanks! Jimmy

The village had the whole moo baan sprayed, the entire moo baan, she was the third child struct with the virus. I don't think there is a mosquito alive in the village now.

Thanks Sheryl.
For two days in the hospital i think it was around 6K, every day comes in between 1 and 2K depending on what they are doing that particular day. She see's the same doctor every morning, she is at the public hospital in the AM, then at the private hospital 40 KM away in the afternoon. Borabue hospital is the name of the facility.

We are trying everything, she eats just enough not to go back to the hospital, I have made pizza's, french fries, all kinds of her fav snacks. Yesterday was horrible, today she is eating anything she can get her hands on. It was no problem keeping her in hospital, but the doctor said no need take her home, she goes back every morning from 9 to 12, until the end of the week for bloodwork and IV fluids. She has tami flu, and 4 other meds i can't read. She has 2 or 3 older women watching over her almost 24 hours of the day, never realized just how large my wifes family is.

One last tidbit of Info, the billing lady said next time no need to bring cash, just do a transfer through the App, Line her the receipt and she will mark the bill as paid in full. She also said she can take all types of credit cards now as well. Which is the route i will probably take next time.
-
Which is exactly what we did. Money never impeded anything, i was just wondering if i had to take out 30K or 100K, i took out 100K and didn't need most of that. Money was not the object of the post, just wanted info so i knew what to be prepared for.

She received a full day of treatment the day i wrote the post, and the hospital told us to bring her back the following morning when a pediatric Dengue expert would be there to see her, they left instructions a mile long, we waiting until 0430 and brought her in when we could not get her fever down. She received really good care at the hospital i have no doubt they are proficient at treating dengue.

Yes, my wife is thai but they do not have there Thai Citizenship as of yet, paperwork in process. Why was I concerned about the price, because i don't want to go to the bank twice. We pay for there health insurance every January, i just pay upfront and I am reimbursed within 30 days.
She is doing alot better, the nose bleeds have stopped. Her fever is pretty much under control now. She spent 2 days at the hospital, getting fluids along with blood work and xrays and the like. Looks like we are passed the danger point now. Thanks for all the information provided.

Looking at all the meds she got issued today, i was surprised to see Tami Flu on the desk. 30 mg, wonder why they use an anti-viral to treat it. Anyways very pleased with her pediatrics team in Borabu, same group of Doc's she has been seeing for 3 years now.

My wife called and spoke to the hospital, looks like about 6K all in for what we know about now. No all My kids are American's not Thai.

She was diagnosed today with Probable Dengue Fever. Tomorrow they want her to go in for chest x ray and a CBC test at our local public hospital here in Issaan. She has medical insurance but i have to pay first then file for reimbursement. Any idea of what I might be looking at for a 3 night stay with Meds for Dengue Fever. Thanks!
Will Alcohol Ban Be Extended unil End of May? Do you think? Any Info?
