  1. My Häfele Fu must be significant better than yours as it just took me about 30 seconds to go to the catalog “Furniture Fittings” the another 30 seconds to locate the section starting at 2.94 to 2.103 where there are probably around 26 different options up to 40kg. Typing this reply probably took twice as long as the search. EDIT in the current catalog it’s from 2.85 to 2.91, I didn’t check how many
  2. What’s the problem? The Japanese use the same system cleaning windows on their buildings and they are far higher than any Thai condo.
  3. Turps is an oily solvent so is likely not to work well. Washing with soap and water or window cleaner is unlikely to be strong enough a degreaser so again is likely to be effective. Bite the bullet and use a real degreaser as posted above. The oil is captured by the frosted glass and needs proper degreasing.
  4. Try Häfele they almost certainly have a suitable product. Or of course AliExpress
  5. There are lathes that use graded pulleys, these tend to be the cheaper ones, but electronic/electrical controls have far greater control and are virtually infinitely variable. These are more commonly found on 3 phase motors and the setup is more compact and less complex.
  6. No need to do that. Before going to all that bother you should try various other cleaning agents on the windows. The agents are, in general order of aggressiveness, pure alcohol (easily and cheaply available), acetone (easily and cheaply available from pharmacies), AAA thinner, one of the other thinners for oil based paints . One of these is likely to clean the oily residue of the windows.
  7. Although they are the not the highest quality that I have, they are good enough for the job they do. The best tool for the job is dependant on your needs and the needs of the job. FWIW I have a couple of angle grinders from Hitachi from before the name and quality change, I also have 3 Hory grinders that all together cost half the price of the cheapest Hitachi or ฿258 each. They are cheap but for the job (grinding down and polishing welds) they are perfectly adequate and if they fail it’s a no brainier to replace them, there is no point in having 2 tools When you can have 4 and don’t need to change grinding wheels, if I were using them all day every day the answers could easily be different, but I’m not. Is the Hitachi a better tool? Of course it is. Is it better enough for the job? Absolutely not, the cheap Hory grinders do the same job for about 1/10 the cost. For an SCMS I have a Makita that was ⅓ the cost of the alternative and does an adequate job to excellent, while I could have afforded the ฿70,000+ for the better tool I didn’t have a need for the light weight and precision that the higher price got me.
  8. To quote yourself, look again. The price I quoted included a battery and charger @ 23,000 the price for the tool alone is 21,830. However there are many who want the tool only as the already have batteries and chargers. I agree on the quality of hitachi and have a couple myself.
  9. I gave you a link to a Thai supplier of the tool you mentioned so I don’t see the problem. I agree that searching in English isn’t the easiest but I have used the supplier I linked to as well as a few others for quality tools. The search function is made more complicated by the propensity of tool makers to change the names of tools in different regions so you have to investigate carefully to ensure that you get the tool you want.
  10. There are a few that do, but you are correct that most don’t.
  11. There is little point in comparing sterling prices as the prices in the U.K. are always much higher than in other countries. However that doesn’t address the point that the tool you are referring to is about 135% more expensive in the U.K. and is reasonably easily available from quality suppliers in Thailand by mail order and probably in person in Hardware House HQ
  12. The price for the tool you post is ฿23,000 which is slightly less than the equivalent exchange rate for $700 https://itoolmart.com/product/89mz9/BOSCHGBH18V34CF18V so your quoted 32,000 is rather fantastic all the professional tools you want are available from a few suppliers. However the majority of buyers here want cheap tools or moderately priced better quality ones, very few want to pay the prices for the premium quality tools but they are available if you look hard enough.
  13. Buy an angle grinder for 300 baht, if it fails, none of mine have, buy another one. then spend reasonable money on a circular saw as that needs to be good quality to do a good job
  14. For the glass you need reflective blinds like these. They cut the heat being transmitted into the room by around 90%
  15. Insulate it will save money and allow a faster cool down
  16. That’s the second confirmed instance of dates changing. Which office was it? from the other report I can speculate as to the reason why there was no consistency, but as speculation it has no significant benefit. Also just accepting the changes without questions is not a bad policy, but it’s very useful to know that it may happen. Up to now I and almost everyone has assumed that it never does so your report is a valuable datum point
  17. There is an option for 60 days (I am using that this time), though that is probably not necessary as you will be back before you need to put the application in.
  18. However if you are outside Thailand during the under consideration period you will also have a reentry permit that will be limited to the under consideration report back date. I am well aware of this as the IO who stamped me in the time before last was extremely surprised that they were stamping me into Thailand for 3 days and was concerned that I might not get to Udon immigration in time.
  19. @kimamey That is plenty of time, as long as you get all of your paperwork ready to go on your return. The application must be in before the extension finishes. You will get an under consideration stamp when you make your application, the consideration stamp is equivalent to an extension of your permission to stay. You can even go into immigration a couple of days after the report back date a there will be no problem. So please reassure SWMBO that there is no problem, apart from the English weather of course.
  20. The second poster who got 13 months has confirmed that it was an IO stamp error and his date has been fixed
  21. So far I haven’t had any need or desire for more than 2 and only 1 eSIM at once. I will in a few weeks have the opportunity to have 2 eSIMs active on my phone (Apple assures me this is an option) I will have my current AIS eSIM a GiffGaff physical or eSIM and possibly an Airalo eSIM. Time will tell
  22. Quite possibly, or restricted to a single immigration office. I would guess that there are not many on a spouse extension in the far south and fewer, if any, of them are posting on TV
  23. The poster is https://www.reddit.com/user/Wrong-Response5324/ You are welcome to ask more questions. a previous post he said That is the experience of virtually every other user and applicant I know of. And the reason for the question. However there is 1 stated claim of a different result + one applicant who applied to a different office who is likely to have received an incorrect stamp from the IO who is checking now or will shortly check. FWIW he is also adamant that he has a visa that he is extending and can’t seem to understand that an extension of stay isn’t a visa
