  1. I wish there was more outcry about the expanding occurrence of the Green Screen of Death. It's really annoying to say the least sometimes. Maybe we should compile a list of blocked sites and post them on a website. Maybe this would embarrass the cyber blockers enough to relax some of t

    e restrictions.

  2. Good move and... good timing.

Thaksin will be able to play the "victim". He will arrive, humble, will go to pray in many temple, will make donations to monks, will tell the press that he is so happy to be back in his beloved country, and that he wants to "serve" his fellow people and to fight "injustice"...

His supporters are going to be thrilled.

Sonthi and Surayud seem to be in a trap.

Smooth move by a beloved PM.

Funny that most ordinary people in the market where I live are quite vocal that they would like to see him dead. I would seriously doubt that it would be a smooth move or that he would be easily able to walk around in public places like temples without a severe amount of security and restrictions on the public. Beloved is a word usually reserved for a certain other person in Thailand. Even in his up country strongholds where he retains a fair although far lesser than before degree of support the word beloved is not exactly what one hears from even quite ardent supporters.

A thousand apologies for using a "reserved" word. Perhaps you can suggest a more suitable expression -- and while you're at it, write to the Washington Post and explain to them that they're using the wrong terminology.

  4. Another Opera fan. I switched months ago. It's always been lighting fast -- something to do with the way the cache is set up. And with the new speed dial in the latest version, it's great. Customization is a breeze as well.

  5. Phony elections without the participation of the most popular political party will not resolve deep political crisis in Thailand.
I'm not qualified to speak either. I'm in Thailand, but from the UK. That's fine. What's not fine is that the majority of Thais were also considered not qualified to speak. Just take a trip around Thailand and ask the (70-80%) "bahn nock" villagers who they voted for twice, and who they would have voted for yet again if the rug of democracy hadn't been pulled from under their feet.

TRT had no need of illegal electioneering. Beware of an effective propaganda machine. All nations keep one handy. This is no exception.

I for one am tired of being fed all the crap from the junta about how bad things were under Thaksin. So what if he stole millions as we're led to believe, and that he bought votes and his way into power. At least the country was moving out of the last century and prospering and free.

  6. We, at our internet shop in Fortune, couldn't connect to Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, MSN Messenger, Skype, LogMeIn, Rapidshare, and a few other sites all day

esterday. Then, miraculously, at about 9 pm all the sites started working again.

I hope they're not testing some super-blocker at True.
