I have been to all the cities you mention and could not wait to get back to korat. But people will always say the city they live in is the best and for them like me it is, so try them all meet other westerners and try all the restaurants etc etc. I meet many English, Aussies and a few other nationalities in one of the three large shopping malls we have here and also have friends who dont like to meet that way, preffering to meet at home or restaurant. I am English and if you decide to visit Korat DM me and we will meet up for a pint/coffee/tea. -

I am arriving in Thailand in December on a visa exempt. I plan to apply for a non o visa as soon as poss then apply for retirement visa. I have booked a one way ticket so what I am wondering is do I need to buy a throwaway ticket to say laos or cambodia to keep I.O happy and if so whats the cheapest way for said ticket. Also is it best to get the throwaway near the end of the 45 days.

I overstayed by accident ( did not read my visa properly) for two weeks about 5 years ago will that stop me getting a retirement visa?. -

Asking for a Thai friend. her daughter is 2 and half years old. she plans to bring daughter to Thailand next month and stay for 2 months. problem being her daughter has a UK passport but not a Thai one. Mother has both. So what is the way forward ie apply for visa for child and then go to embassy whilst in Thailand to apply for daughters Thai passport.

Expired Thai Passport
blueeyes replied to bluejets's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Hi Ubon sorry I did not see your reply and just posted a new one with same query. -
My Thai wifes passport has expired we are in UK now. She has a UK passport also. If she exits UK on UK passport and enters Thailand on expired passport then renews her Thai passport to exit Thailand and enters UK on UK passport will that be ok. The slight doubt she has is if she leaves UK on UK passport that they would stamp UK passport then when leaving Thailand they might see that she used UK passport to leave UK thus fine her for overstay. sorry for long winded explanation but hope someone can clarify if everything will be ok and no overstay problem.

Expired Thai Passport
blueeyes replied to bluejets's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Just a query on that ubon. I read this to my wife who's Thai passport has also expired and she is concerned that if she uses her UK passport to leave UK and enter Thailand on Thai passport like OP mentions that when she returns to UK they would fine her for overstaying because her UK passport would be stamped for usual 30 days but she will return in aprox 90 days. -
Going back to UK next week with Thai airways, am I right thinking I will only need passenger locator form and no pcr or antigen test b4 boarding.
