Christmas came early today, at least for one night. Arrived today from kuala lumpur 10 p.m. Was thru immigration in less than 15 minutes. They had set lines that were easy to follow, no fuss no elbowing. Officers here and there supervising and other personell going midst people checking that they had their arrival cards in order. Not nearly all the counters were manned but no need to since everything was organised and went smoothly although there were quite a lot of passengers.
Thank you for the update !

So how will we go with arriving at BKK via Malaysian Air @ 13:25 (on a saturday) and have a domestic flight departing for Ubon @ 16:00?

Well today was the worst experience I have had 3 hors to come through immigration. Not all desks were open. They just got up and shut desks and left queues of people waiting. Kids were crying People were arguing as they were just pusing in anywhere. No control anywhere.A disgrace.
What time did your flight land?

I think it would be a room that has no walls adjacent to the outside - so no windows

Had the cork dried out - possibly the bottle was standing on its end too long
I too have this happen before but in Australia, have lovely collection of single malts that now have a space in the wine rack- wet corks :-)

Even in Phuket, when I was staying in kamala I felt like everyone assumed my thai gf was a hooker (she's not lol), when we visited a friend's hotel the thai staff even stopped us to advise her that i would need to pay the hotel extra if she stayed with me because they thought she was a hooker. So it's not even limited to just farang who will think that about her.
We used to get the same when in Thailand - now I get my wife (who is Thai) to check in for us at all hotels with her Austrailian passport - keeps the desk staff in check!

Phimai has been a haunt of ours for years - love the place - its our sanity between family visits across the country close enough to Korat for larger shopping experiences but without the junket tourists

Looks like we will join the Queue's @ swampy -
UBON is still named as a international airport - but I guess they no longer have customs/immigration facilities as it has been years since such international flights have happened from there

It's a long road you have started on, but not unachievable
Enjoy the milestones ahead, I remember very fondly when my wife called me ( she was in T'land me in Aus) to let me know the letter of acceptance had arrived.

Because of previous experience, I bought a years supply of Tonic as the flood was starting including the gin as that was also not available for a month or so. With the things being as they are, I will keep a years supply in stock permanently
Very smart

Now that we have been thru the whole process ( wife has now got citizenship & Australian passport )
The best thing we ever did was do a duplicate for every application, it meant we had a standby copy ready to go if anything ever went astray.

I think if you check the Australian Embassy web site in Thailand that you need your Thai Gf to submit any application there in Bangkok, many topics have been posted on this topic but for the most up to date info go to http://www.thailand.embassy.gov.au/bkok/home.html

I have my profile on, nothing to hide, think if I want someone to take notice of what I write, they should be able to see who I am. Those who hide behind aliases and avatars are often not who they try to make others believe they are.Jayman,
Please, please tell me about Thailand. I've been here since the mid-70s and I am a slow learner. Please oh please step up and correct me.
The Force is weak in this one as is his googling skills. You might try Wikipedia Princess.
dam_n, you just can't get entertainment like this outside of the internet; financial whizs and GI money managers in Isaan, but you can try and step up and correct me on that.
Can't teach an OLD dog new tricks. I'm not going to even try. You just keep thinking/believe whatever you want. I'm sure that's working out fine for you.
You make a lot on very incorrect assumptions.... Just cause you are in Issarn doesn't mean I am. You could check my profile on TV to see that.. no need for you to task google on it old timer.
Yes, thank you. It is working out fabulously for me, i.e., reading TV for entertainment, especially for the financial advice comedy and relying on a mix of US stocks, bonds and real estate for income. It is good to not be spending anything on a fee to have any of that "managed" by a poseur on a website. Financial manager .... yeah, right ... but then again you can be anyone you want to be on the web.
Why would anyone bother with a TV profile? Anyone that includes personal information on an entertainment site such as TV is a can or two short of a 6-pack. Ah .... your target customer. Good business plan.
Off to Pattaya in a few days and will no doubt be sitting drinking with a bunch of millionaires and ex special forces guys who are working as international security consultants. Don't find many factory workers or truck drivers here. Jim
Don't forget the currency speculators - oh I forgot the congregate in the remote provinces
See u soon Jim
