Bets are now accepted for how long it will take for Phuket to become a concrete jungle. I am in Rawai and doing cycling early morning in small Soi's. I can see there that a piece of land is flattened or a forest/trees cut at least once every 2 weeks. Terrible. I also ask myself, what if...? Recently there have been terrible wildfires on a Hawaiian island, on several Mediterranean islands etc.. So what if that happens on Phuket? I am not sure about sufficient equipments. I am aware that it has not much to do with Patong-The Wake, but still

As my previous 5 yr. licence expired for more than 12 months, was not possible to simply renew and had to get a 2 yr. (temporary) with the exam, but no driving test. -
Current situation to get drivers license renewal in Phuket
chercheur888 replied to jnak's topic in Phuket
I did my 2 years, my 5 years had expired more than 12 months due to my absence from Thailand. Early March, without appointment arrived at around 8am, did colour and reaction, then upstairs for passing the 50 questions on the computer. Was out at 12.30 pm with the license, the longest wait was for the photo, and yes it was full. -

Phuket busy with foreign tourists, Thai media reports
chercheur888 replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
I can confirm that NAI HAN beach was extremely busy, nearly no space between all the occupied sun loungers, all occupied by 10's of thousands of genuine tourists from all over the world. On the other hand, NAI HARN beach was practically empty of tourists. They don't even know the name of the beaches, must have been there via META -
A name is a just that, a name. Not that I NEED French or German channels, but I choose Pulse a few years ago because they have them. (Most of the time????)

Yes I used the 'Chat' function and with time, I knew the answers beforehand. " It's my internet speed, it is my box, it is the rain etc. etc.. I send emails now to the support address and as I am no longer in Phuket and Thailand it is easier for me. As I experienced with my the box/laptop etc.. that had v1, there were no more French and German channels

I don't know about you, but I have Pulse v2 installed and the catch up is 7 days. The only problem I have with Pulse is that their French and German channels are often stop and go or mute, but happens sometimes to English channels as well and is a bit annoying when you want to watch F1. The offer on TV series is very limited, on Pulse v1 is was much more and better. I think as a paying customer they should try and deliver 24/7, for which I pay, but they have stopped to answer me when I inform them of a problem, but even that I will survive.
