  1. If you're extending by the same amount on both sides, I'd be inclined to leave the existing as is, and extend with contrasting strips.
  2. Convenient that. If there's something really dodgy in your bag and you see that on the handle, just rip off the bag tag, leave your bag on the conveyor, and walk out. ????
  3. Interesting, I've been here a few years and I know that the sun does that - we're in the tropics after all - but I've never actually known a date /time. I'll have to go out and look.
  4. So, now we wait for him to get accused of something.
  5. Translation; my mates in the tobacco monopoly say that their profits are dropping.
  6. We, who have lived through this, see the restrictions as lifting. Potential tourists however, see "Thailand Pass", "Tests", "Quarantine", and just think "Heck No!". Easing is good, but won't bring back tourists in the numbers needed, only complete removal will do that.
  7. Can I just add that, for Kasikorn, you may have more success if you go to a main branch, not a satellite branch.
  8. I read somewhere that most of the waste in the ocean isn't dumped in the ocean, but in rivers. Surely stopping it at source would be better than trying to clean the oceans later on?
  9. I use Jomtien, I have the money in the bank and, being retired, I have the time. Having said that, I use the agent in the compound to complete my forms, do any photocopies needed, etc. Then take them in myself. Cost is usually a couple of hundred and I have never had issues with the forms in immigration - I think that, seeing their paperwork, the officer pretty much rubberstamps it, he knows it's correct. Worth the (small) money to me. I know many who use agents because they can't, or don't want to, put the money in the bank. I've always thought that it's dodgy though, a "Big Joke" type in charge could cause some serious grief there.
  10. I believe this, used to be a taxi driver, lived about 20 miles from where I worked. Keeping awake when the work was coming was easy, but when it finished, driving home on unlit country roads wasn't. Sometimes I had to find a layby and doze for a few minutes before continuing. At times I got home and couldn't remember the journey. Thai drivers do a lot more hours than I did, so they'll be worse affected - though "face" will stop them admitting it.
  11. Ideal, that simple comment should solve the OP's problems.
  12. If she sets foot in Thailand, she gets arrested. I wouldn't attend either.
  13. If you don't feel safe sending your documents to the UK (understandable), then why not go in person? More expensive, yes, but secure.
  14. Sorry, but I can't see from your post what difference what we call it makes. Does one mean more restrictions than the other, or is it just words?
  15. I did ask this elsewhere but here goes again; Endemic or Pandemic, what practical difference does it make?
  16. Living in Pattaya with family in Samut Prakan, this would have been helpful. If I could use it on a bike. ????
  17. My opinion; they'll postpone a decision until the post-Songkran figures come in.
  18. Won't help, they don't get your location from cookies, they don't need to, you told them your exact address when you set up the account.
  19. If I may ask; why glass bottles? I've dropped a few plastic ones over the years and they've bounced, glass wouldn't.
