  1. No. 43 is the same as Kanary Bay (now Kantary Bay) - Best seafood (my opnion) along the same road is Laem Charoen Seafood opposite direction as Kantary Bay, view over fishery harbour. , higher price but worth it.

Anyway No. 43 Kanary bay buffet between 11.30. - 13.30 price approx. 270 thb are good value for money.

A great tip at Ban Chang - Phala beach: two danish guys has open restaurant at Phala beach "Bella Vista" it is diffecult to find, but just after Phala Cliff Hotel 700 meter on left hand when you come from Rayong side, turn left and drive along the beach, and you will get the most nice european/scandinavian food...only two thai dishes, rest is farlang food

Agree about Bella Vista best in Banchang worth trying to find it

  2. Strangley enough very few of the new bars are owned by Farangs who are in the oil business, there are very few farangs left in Ban chang who are still in the Oil business at all... :o

I made the comment as when I first came to Ban Chang, as the Oil companies where mobilising from the Ban Chang Palace...the original bars on the strip used to be choker block every night of the week, now on the whole the companies mobilise from Jontiem and there are very few oil workers passing through...but the number of bars has doubled over the last 12-18months....but then again TIT

Still a few Oil Workers, A lot from the Petrochemical Complex at Maptaphut and Asia Industrial Estate, a lot of the people work supporting or own companies supporting these endeavours

  3. I am looking into the possibility of opening an English style Bakery cafe in Banchang. There seems to be an increseing number of expats and golfers over here now and they are well catered for in the way of bars and bar food and im sure a Bakery would do well.

I have my own bakery buisness in the Uk and spend 6 weeks here then 6 weeks back home looking after the buisiness there so I would need to employ an expat baker to help out .

If anyone has any thoughts on this please let me know

    Excuse my ignorance - where's Banchang? :o

In Rayong Province Close to Chonburi / Rayong Provincial Border about 25Km from Rayong and 48Km from Pattaya in the Sattahip Direction

  4. Hello I am new to Thaivisa forums, I have been visiting Thailand and have either worked or lived here for the past ten years.

I have a request for information regarding purchasing some items here in Thailand or in the Environs can you suggest the correct forum to address that request for information

  5. Check out the Index Living Mall on Sukhumwit, a bit north of Pattaya Klang. They are a mid-range place but they often have good sales on. Even without sales, I think they offer decent quality at fair prices.

I agree, the only downside to the place is that sometimes you have to wait a long time to get the item you want, they seem to have changed their policies regarding stock recently.
