Wildliferescue replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/society/boredom-in-switzerland-leads-to-an-elephant-refuge-in-thailand/47207918 Is this the man of the attack? How can a charity director rent a house for 1,000,000 baht a month? and why is this news story (above link) so full of lies? -
Mysterious mass death at Chiang Mai Night Safari shocks Thailand
Wildliferescue replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
13 Deaths in a month is not a "MYSTERIOUS MASS DEATH" issue, especially not when some died of old age or were eaten by pythons. Strange however is it that so many "DISAPPEARED", we have seen that before in the SONGKHLA ZOO and that didn't end well, now did it? Chiangmai Night Safari is far from a famous or even nice attraction, it is run as a tourist attraction with zero conservation projects, no proper education program and started many years ago with the plans to even have a restaurant where people could eat wildlife. The place charges foreigner 4 times the local price, the animals are under bad care and don't get proper nutrition. Chiangmai already had a zoo and that should have been enough. -
Hua Hin Airport in political limbo until after the Thai election
Wildliferescue replied to george's topic in Thailand News
I live here since 1989, same story since ever. An airport so close to Bangkok has jus not so much appeal for most travelers, especially when most tourists love to visit Bangkok as well, or have no connected flights available. We have had so many one day flies walk in and claim they will get it done. Any foreigner that thinks he can change the authorities mind or way of working is filling himself. It works here only from the top down. International flights to Huahin again? Maybe just the KL connection only. Thats it. -
British rocker joins Thai musician in viral video on TikTok

Great voice, great song! I can't wait for the old farang immigrants to start complaining that he has no work permit! -
Change hotels for enquiries, you can share of course. Some hotels trying to sell a second room, but the Novotel for example at the airport doesn’t require this at all.

Costs of forced repeated tests threaten Canadian Sandbox holiday
Wildliferescue replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Instead of the expensive PCR test they can just do the antigen test, 600 Baht only. We all have to when we travel and when entering or leaving Phuket and Samui it is done in 20 minutes. -
Again all these negative foreigners (read *deleted*) with their Facebook doctor degrees and utter disliking of Thailand and its people. There is not other path to walk than the reopening of Thailand right now, with more people going in to poverty than people suffering from covid. Step-by-step we will need to see Thailand opening up and this is the next step. Covid is not going away and the daily vaccinations of up to 900,000 people are leading the way.

10 million vaccine doses to be distributed in Thailand in August
Wildliferescue replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
10 million a month, that means 5 million a month fully vaccinated. With this speed (if true!! and who believes them still?) we will be ready in the summer next year! and then can start all over again in August. What a mess have these clowns put us in. -
What a whiner... Why would your government have to provide a vaccin to you (and for free!) if you wish to live abroad, 10,00 kms away from your home? You live in Thailand, your choice, grow up and live with it or go back. I do agree that Thailand should be better organizing things here, and taxpayers should get the jab for free, but you can't ask your gov to make this happen far from home.
