  1. Yingluck was removed from office on 7 May 2014 by a Constitutional Court decision. Gen. Prayut and his junta - like him or not - took over on the 22nd of May 2014, so you are incorrect.
  2. Yingluck was removed from office on 7 May 2014 by a Constitutional Court decision. Gen. Prayut and his junta - like him or not - took over on the 22nd of May to prevent Suthep and his cronies from starting a revolution to take over the country. I was here and these are facts - like them or not.
  3. Okay, I am not here to argue; I started this blog to try and assist people in renewing their passport in Bangkok: you can have the last word.
  4. Check out the B side of Ian Dury and the Blockheads 1978 single: that's you.
  5. As the old saying goes, it is not often you are right but you are wrong again.
  6. Yes, totally agree; both times I visited VFS there were exactly 3 people seated waiting, but I was directed to a window straight away. You either didn't mention the type of visa you are on or I missed it, but being as the 28th February is on a Sunday, this will probably mean that you will be 2 days (or 3) over - based on the fact that you probably won't be able to renew your visa on the Monday. The Date of Issue on my new passport is 16th February 2021; the expiry date of the old passport was 26th April 2021, so the 3 months I allowed was a wise move. 3. If you park in the Trendy multi story car park (go to level 5), make sure you stay under 1/2 hour - then it is free; otherwise it is 200 baht.
  8. Went into Bangkok to deliver my completed documents for renewing my UK passport yesterday - 6th January 2012. If you are driving in - and driving down Asok road to the large junction with Sukhumvit road, this might help: at the junction turn right (into Sukhumvit road) and almost immediately do a U-turn at soi 11. When you have turned, you will come to soi 13 soon on your left - so turn into it. The Trendy Building is about 100 yards down on the right and at the far end is the opening that leads up to the car park which is on floors 3 thru 5. Go up to level 5, turn left, drive to the end and p
