If you travelled to lets say Laos or Cambodia as 2 examples, would you need to be there at least 21 days prior to returning to Thailand?

Question for the experts; I arrived on a NON-O Multiple entry visa (Based on my children) in November 2019 - valid until November 2020. Due to Covid I did not leave the country until September 2020 (but got the Covid-extensions when needed) I got a Re-entry permit when leaving for Europe - and used that in beginning of October 2020 to get back through the Phuket Sandbox. Since returning - I have had 2 Covid extensions - and my Permission to stay expire early March. If I understand correctly - the Immigration would not be giving me a new Covid-extension since I originally arrived in October on a re-entry permit based on my NON-O. If this is the case, can I then apply for a 60 days extension based on my children? If not I guess the "only" option is to have 400K in the bank on the day of application and apply for a 1-year extension based of being the father of a Thai citizen? Any input is appreciated. TIA.

It depends a bit on what actual contract you had with them. I guess you had a written binding price quote and signed deal. As you probably knows the cost of sea freight has gone through the roof! - We used to pay around THB100.000 pre-Covid for a 40 FCL, now we have paid up to THB600.000 (this is China to Europe). Quite insane.... But I guess you booked it near departure.

I am planning a 7+7 Sandbox stay if its possible to get from Phuket to Railey Beach, but well... difficult to find any information. I understand it needs to be by boat "direct" from Phuket to Railey. Appreciate any input ????

The funny thing about Thailand is that at the end of the day (or rather the trip) the customs officer is the one who is going to decide on your fate. If it was me (and I have only entered Thailand around 200+ times) I would be honest (and prepared) and go on "red" and tell them - and show supporting documents. Remember - the ONLY thing they think about - is HOW can they make money from you. And be prepared...... I have imported Naltrexone (for Alcohol use disorder) from India several times. Shipping costs are extremely high at the moment. I guess it would probably be GBP4000-5000 to ship it in a 20 feet container at the moment. Heck, we shipped a 40 feet container from China to Europa some time ago and paid more than GBP10.000 - estimated to increase to GBP15.000-20.000 in the next few months. Its insane..... compared to GBP2000 1+ year ago for a 40ft HC.
