There must be more to this story. I suspect he's afraid of people on the outside. At least he thinks he's safe in custody. -

Thai police officers face bankruptcy with debt over 300 billion baht

When you have to buy your job you start in debt. -
So pay for your big purchases like school fees by direct transfer. Pay by credit card wherever you can, like Revolut. Send your day to day living expenses to the gf. It won't be possible for Thailand to demand 800k in the bank and then take 20%. There'll be a lot more discussion before any of this actually happens.

Everyone knows it comes from crop burning across SE Asia. Why do they burn? Because they don't own tractors to turn the soil over, so burning is the cheapest way. Now for the cost of 3 submarines you could buy 28,000 tractors, enough for three in every agricultural tambon. You could rent them out for a nominal fee and over time the investment would pay for itself. Immediately the nation would see an improvement in health. But of course defense of the realm must take priority over the nation's health.

Royal Varuna is the place to go as you are in Pattaya. If you want a new boat contact Element6.com. also in Chonburi, they make them. Cost around 200,000. There are always members at RVYC selling Lasers. When I was there in December there were 3 or 4 for sale on their noticeboard. When i was there i took some photos.

Well 50 police went looking for prostitution in Pattaya a couple of years ago and declared there was no evidence of it. I doubt there'll find any this time either.
