    Thx for you replys so far. Is not possible, however, to set the speed at the machines instead (currently the computers attach to the router, then directly to the access point - and considering the problem I had just setting that up I really don't want to go through it all again!!!)

    I've recently setup a small network and would like to know if there is software available that would allow me to control the amount of bandwidth given to individual machines.

    For example. On one old computer I only want it to connect to radio, so it requires about 58Kbps.

    ADSL has recently become available in my area (at last). But now I must choose which system to install and have become a little confused...

    What is the difference between "Consumer ADSL" and "Domestic Consumer ADSL"?

    If I were to get another computer in the future, would it be possible to network them together to share the internet access? Or would I have to upgrade the connection from "Consumer" to "Corporate" - A HUGE difference in price?

    With Nero, to burn an MP3 disk you select Music, MP3 CD, then add the MP3 tracks to burn. I guess I could try doing as just a Data disk. Do you think this would work better?

    Also, could it be something to do with the track names?

    E.g. "01 - Track 1"

    I have been using Opera myself for years. Always loved the Tabs, and "mouse gestures"... Makes surfing much quicker and easier.

    Although Opera still has problems displaying some sites correctly so I switch back to IE for those if I have to, but I am told that is down to poor design...

    Does Mozilla have "mouse gestures"? I reakon I could'nt live without them now!!!

    I recently tried to burn all my music Cd's onto a single MP3 CD, so I wouldn't have to change CD's constantly when listening to music on my MP3 CD player.

    The problem is that even though the CD works fine in my computer, on the player it just jumps through all the tracks without having played anything (as though all the tracks are empty). I have tried it on several different computers and players. All computers read and play fine, and all players just skip though!!! Does anyone know why this might happen?

    I used Audiograbber to rip the CD's, and Nero 5.5 Express to burn.

    Last year, my friend upgraded his GirlFriend 3.1 to GirlFriendPlus 1.0 (marketing name: Fiancee 1.0). Recently he upgraded Fiancee 1.0 to Wife 1.0 and it's a memory hogger, it has taken all his space; and Wife 1.0 must be running before he can do anything. Although he did not ask for it, Wife 1.0 came with Plug-Ins such as MotherInLaw and BrotherInLaw.

         Some features I'd like to see in the Upcoming GirlFriend 4.0:

              -    A "Don't remind me again" button

              -    Minimize button

              -    Shutdown feature

              -    An install shield feature so that Girlfriend 4.0 can be completely uninstalled if so desired (so you don't lose cache and other objects)

              -    "Abort" button (O.K. that one's pretty bad - but had to say it)

              -    A Remote control for the these features would be a nice upgrade.

    I tried running GirlFriend 2.0 with GirlFriend 1.0 still installed, but they tried using the same i/o port and conflicted. Then I tried to unistall GirlFriend 1.0 but it didn't have an uninstall program. I tried to uninstall it by hand, but it put files in my system directory. Another problem with all versions of GirlFriend that I've used is that it is totally object oriented and only supports hardware with gold plated contacts.

    *** BUG WARNING ***

    Wife 1.0 has an undocumented bug. If you try to install Mistress 1.1 before uninstalling Wife 1.0, Wife 1.0 will delete MSMoney files before doing the uninstall itself. Then Mistress 1.1 will refuse to install, claiming insufficient resources.

    How to Make Your Girlfriend Eternally Happy

    1.    Be Rich. This is important for you, but not for her. For her the number 2 rule follows.

    2.    Spend Money on Her. This is the most important thing for her, whether you are rich, have any money, or must lie, steal, or kill to do it.

    3.    Be Tall . Of course you have no real control over this, but if you don't do it, she will secretly and forever resent you for it and it will come out of left field to smite you. She will be impressed and enraptured by your delight at the sight of HelloKitty, stuffed animals, puppies, kitties, duckies, bunnies, as well as chocolates, shiny jewelry and other trinkets and knick-knacks. Also, she will understand perfectly well if you pout over the smallest perceived slight or slip and demand to be appeased, assuaged, or made up to. If you behave any other way, she will never understand it.

    6.    Dress like a Pretty-Boy Geek. This will save her the trouble of replacing your wardrobe and dressing you, herself.

    7.     Remove Every Hair on Your Body Except Those on Your Scalp. The sight of a whisker on your face reminds her that somewhere inside you, something is trying to grow. You must not grow - you must be as unchanging and constant as the firmament.

    8.    There are no more rules to making your girlfriend eternally happy. If any situation arises which you feel the rules have not addressed, you are mistaken - immediately refer to the primary rules #1 and #2 - they are the solution in every such case.

    I too will leave this forum until tomorrow! It will be interesting to see the comments added in my absence.

    As for going into "insult mode", I find that frankly insulting! Please take the time to look through ALL of my previous posts. In none you shall find insults!

    As for splitting hairs... You stated that prostitution is "lawfully and morally wrong". That statement is - IMHO - incorrect! As wolfie said,"the oldest profession in the book". Maybe not right, but definately not wrong. And even if it were, we should not look down upon the people who practice it, or try to take those who used too away from it!!!

    Admittedly, I have very little time for people who like to post one word/sentence comments (e.g. "good one", "funny", "w*nker", "tw$t", etc)... But many (read MOST) of the people you mention often actually have valid comments - and are not just trying to increase their post count!

    As for your comment about "Judas"... I think you should recheck your bible!!! Judas didn't sell his body (Perhaps I misunderstood!)???????

    I would put myself in the "sad misguided individual category" simply because it was not the choice of many of the ladies to do that line of work, and therefore I have NO malice towards them (unlike you!). And even if it were their choice - SO <deleted>*KING WHAT! Yet, you choose to deride the people that decide to (hopefully) lead these ladies to a "better" life. In some cases it works, in some it doe's not... But WHY spend your time calling (mostly) men sad loosers when they are actually caring for/in love with/marrying a lady that had sex with another man for money in the past??? (PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME YOUR WIFE WAS A VIRGIN!!!!)

    Am I misguided?

    Sorry, I forgot to answer your questions...

    1. Did I marry a prostitute.

    Answer. No, I was married, Now getting divorced - perhaps she just found someone better (I hope so... It's probably not too hard!)

    2. Not a question, but I will fill in my own situation. Been coming here since '96, lived here since 2000. Legal, Work permit, Got the medals etc, from meeting various dignatories, and enjoying it. New girlfriend (not Thai), Don't short time (nothing against it - just not really for me!)...

    Now what about the reason as to why you stay - In Thailand or even better, in this Forum when the views are obviously against what you agree with???

    I did ask a question! What is it exactly that you like about Thailand?

    But on top of that;

    If you find this forum offensive, why continue to read it???

    Instead of abuse to other members for there possible reasons (or actions) for being in Thailand, why not put give little reason for your absolute revultion?

    I spend far too much of my sad miserable life scouring these forums... But, at least, I have a vested interest in Thailand and genuinely enjoy my time and life here.

    What I would REALLY like to know is why it is you force your daily diatribe on people who actually like to take part in Thailand and this forum? Do you really believe that your experience in this country (if indeed you are actually here!) is the only example of the perfect life - and all others are (like me of course :o ) only sad misguided individuals???
