  1. Is it easy for Thai nationals to apply for NHS jobs? Guessing credentials would be required for something like that?
  2. Absolutely scandalous!! I could not cancel the application (good job now i have read this!!) and was therefore in the process of setting up a new application under a different email address. This is just wrong! The fee is excessive enough, only to hit you again with ridiculous exchange rates.
  3. Another question: can i cancel this application and create a new one? I think this application has locked me into trying to get me to pay £2000 for NHS surcharge on about a 2.8/2.9 year visa. Absolute scandalous!!
  4. I am in the process of paying for my wifes NHS Surcharge for visa applpication. I have filled in the form prior to "PAY NOW" for the surcharge which is stated at £624 per year. The prior form asked where we were applying from and i selected Thailand, However, i am here in the UK doing it. The pay now page is now asking me to pay 83,878.99THB. Converted into £ this is £1965.28. With conversion from my bank i end up paying £1,999.25!!!!!! How do i get back to paying sterling?
  5. Hi All, I am in the process of applying for a UK settlement visa for my wife. I have heard a few different stories of the times it can take to process. I understand that it was extended from up to 3 months to 6 months to to the Ukraine mess. If you have been through this process recently, can you share your experience regarding how long it took? Ive also heard that there is no fast track service with VFS. Is this true? Finally, does anyone know if the price for the visa will increase soon? Just another thing that i have heard.
  6. What were the costs if you dont mind sharing? Its always good to know
  7. I can not believe that the people of Thailand are still being put through this farce. ... One thing i don't miss is all the COVID nonsense.
  8. So that means yes beccause she wont be in Thailand when we are at that stage. Please shed some light on the experiences you have had.

  10. Hi There, My wife is doing the visa to stay with me permanently and off the top of my head i can not even remember what it is called again!! but we are in the process of doing the application. My question: what visa would it be as there are 2 options on the website shared (https://register-uktb.iom.int/uktbdp-register/editRegistration.html?isFromLogin=true) that have got me confused as to the visa i am actually applying for: Family reunion settlement and dependents Th

  12. Hi, Can my wife go to any hospital in Thailand that conducts these tests? I am guessing most hospitals will do them right? I am assuming that i will have to get the document translated also!!
  13. Hi, I am going through the application form for my family visa for my wife to stay in the UK. The financial requirements for this visa i was told £18,600 per year, with proof of salary 6 months salary slips. However, there is this tick box with the following statement on the application: "Payslips covering any period of salaried employment (current and previous) in the period of 12 months prior to the date of application" Again i thought you had to provided 6 months salary slips!!! Can anyone ellaborate on this?
  14. Hi there, First, thank you for the link, i am now on the application. I have this statement with a tick box "Payslips covering any period of salaried employment (current and previous) in the period of 12 months prior to the date of application" and i am confused as i thought it was 6 months salary slips that you needed to provide and not 12!! Can you elaborate on this further? Thank you
  15. Hi, I am going throught he process of applying for a family visa for my wife to settle with me and our children in the UK. The visa options are so confusing. Can anyone tell me what option i am meant to select here: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/next
  16. Hi, I have got translation of documents such as birth certificates and marriage certificate from last year. Will these translations be good for doing the Spouse visa for UK for my Thai wife? They have the stamp with the date on from last year. Thanks
  17. Hi all, Just want to post my expreience with Randox. I paid forf the click and collect and sent a family member to collect the tests. The day 2 test, i paid for 2 seperate tests but only recieved 1, even though the 2 emails with order numbers were shown to the attendent. So i done the test but my daughter still hasent done hers. I am not sweating over it and i will be going to the premesis tomorrow when i am free to demand a refund fofr her test. Day 8 was collected at a different location due to availability but all in my home town. All results have been recieved via email in an accepteble time. The process was relatively simple and instructions given were clear. However, the app that they tell you to download did not work for submitting results, only for regestering. I had to use their website to submit results. Personaly, i am done with the COVID narrative. Hope that helps
  18. OK so i managed to pay for the kits in the end but i had to use another card. I did call customer service but you could be on their all day with the wait to speak to someone. I selected click and collect as they are about 15 quid cheaper. https://covid.randox.com/ Day 2: 34.99 pound Day 8: 34.99 pound https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-england-from-another-country-during-coronavirus-covid-19#travelling-with-children Hope this is helpful
  19. Ye this is the company i decided to go with. However, i am having problems with them accepting my card. Checked with the bank and all good their side, possibly something to do with the payment processor. To be continued.........
  20. Another service: https://www.testingforall.org/product/day-2-day-8/ Seems that you do not need to use exclusively the UK .gov website for day 2 and day 8 testing
  21. Here is another service: https://www.boots.com/services/covid-19-testing/day-2-day-8-covid-19-testing
  22. I am looking for tests for day 2 and day 8 arrival into the UK (England). Do i have to book the tests on the https://www.gov.uk/find-travel-test-provider Or can i book the tests with a private provider? Also, my daughter who is 6, does she need to do the day 2 and day 8 test? What cheap services are out there for day 2 and day 8 testing. I have so far found this service other than the .gov website: https://covid.randoxhealth.com/home
  23. Has anybody used the Antigen test and got a fit to fly certificate off that test from anywhere in Bangkok? Just curious. I would personally prefer to use the antigen test over the PCR test.
