As soon as that happens we will buy an ev.

I have used both several times and found that it pays to compare the totals before choosing one or the other. The difference can be significant. Sometimes one is better, the next time the other. But you need to start the process until you get a quote, incl. of fees, then compare.

We had several phone calls with a friendly IO. He said that he put my permitted stay date into their system repeatedly, but the app still shows the old date and that I am overstaying. It looks like the online system is broken now. Back to snail mail.

Same story for me. Tried the app and it tells me I'm overstaying right after logging in. Only then do I get to fill in my personal details. By the time you are eligible to use the online reporting the time for mail-in has passed, so we are forced to do it in person. Pure genius. The question that keeps nagging me is: are they just inept, or do they want us to leave?

Thaivisa used to have a classifieds forum, but it has either been removed or is now well hidden, so I can't find it. In most parts of the world I would turn to ebay, or a local equivalent. Do you have a recommendation for a site? Thanks, Peter.
