I disagree!
In my opinion it is time it was re-instated, along with Corporal Punishment in what has become the 'Nanny State' of the once, Great Britain!

Thanks Farma!
Unfortunately this is not helping me get to the bottom of this. As stated, I do appreciate that unregistered workers are required to take what appears to be an extremely test.
My wife's registered workers have been here in LOS since last March, and as I stated are fully documented.
Unfortunately, a link provided by Ubonjoe doesn't appear to work.
Can anyone please provide any enlightenment? Preferably with any links to a Government edict.
-
I had received a reply from the ever helpful Ubonjoe, before my double posting had (correctly) been deleted. He appears to be of the same opinion as myself, in that it is only those un-documented workers that need to take this rather expensive test for Covid.
Unfortunately am unable to access the website, so am not a lot further forward.
Any assistance in this matter will be gratefully received.

My wife employs two legally registered Cambodian workers on her land.
She has been told that they are required to take Covid tests, at a cost of 7,000 Baht each person.
I am aware that unregistered workers are currently required to do this at the published price of 7,200 Baht.
However, I am dubious of the veracity of the information supplied to my wife, suspecting possible dubious goings on!
Can anyone please provide any actual confirmation of this, coupled, if possible with Thai documentation.
Many Thanks

Mrs. Boozer says it is Avocado that has a growth of some kind, but then she had not seen the second photograph, which I think disproves that.
But as with most things botanical, I have absolutely no idea!

Or do what most Thais seem to do, completely ignore it!

Hope you realize (that in my humble opinion), that you are breaking the law by 'running a business', unless of course you have a bone fide visa.

I really do fail to see the reason behind this post!
If you have an extension of a Visa, you know that you have, by law, to make a 90 day report.
By making this post, you obviously have the ability to use the internet - therefore you also should have the ability (if unable to physically attend your local Immigration), to make the 90 day report on line!

Unfortunately my ability and knowledge on all things electrical goes as far as being able to change a light bulb, or on a good day, change a fuse!
I have an electric powered gate to my property, the power supply/operating system has been hit several times when experiencing electrical storms. Is anyone able to please point me in the direction of some kind of surge protector which would help such failures. I do seem to remember something similar on an old electric Flymo some years ago - am I thinking on the right lines?
Any advice, including specifics (pictures would be much appreciated), couched in a language that a moron like myself can understand, would be much appreciated.

What about some practical help for the Glory Hut Foundation?
All this 'hot air', whatever your own nationality or religious persuasion is not going to change the attitude of nearby residents.
I am well aware that there are some local expats, individuals and business', that do provide assistance to the Glory Hut, but suspect that there are people, who have posted on this topic, that live within easy travelling distance, who could visit, and see for themselves what sterling work is in place.
Don't forget, this is supposed to be 'The Season of Goodwill', so what about making a contribution to this, in my opinion, very good cause?

Have no knowledge of BKK, but for those in the Pattaya area. I do know that Key Visa offers this service.

I arranged for few thousand baht worth of food to be dropped off with Glory Hut yesterday. I expect to hear more about what's going on there later today.
Well done Sir!
I am sure that your kind action will be much appreciated at the Glory Hut.
There are some individuals, business' and organizations, who I (purposely) won't name, in the area who have and continue to assist, in no mean way - long may they continue to do so!
What about some donations from other Thai Visa members?
Food stuffs, cleaning materials and day to day essentials are always needed. unwanted, but useable televisions, sound systems and the like can be used and appreciated, in fact anything (including monetary contributions) will help the people at The Glory Hut.
I found these details on the 'web', should anyone care to make use of them:

Maybe it would be a good idea if one or two people could actually go and have a look at the The Glory Hut's new site and report back on this forum. And explain to others what the Glory Hut Foundation has achieved in the few months since it relocated.
-
Take a look at : www.gloryhutfoundation.or.th/
Like some others in the area, I am a fairly frequent visitor to this worthwhile project, with a few, well needed supplies.
If any Thai Visa members in the locality feel that they could provide any kind of assistance, the Glory Hut residents are always most appreciative!

If you cannot find what you want, why not simply buy the model (as illustrated) and change the wheels? A wide variety of wheels are available and are quite inexpensive.

The crossing at Three Pagoda Pass is open to Thais and Burmese only.

Seemingly, if resident in the large hotel opposite, entrance is free!
I for one would not pay 600 Baht entrance fee!
What about the cost of entering Pattaya floating market, I understand that the entrance fee there has risen. Can anyone verify that?

Why not deal with BUPA directly?
