In preparation for Direct Deposit of US Veterans benifits e went to our bank here in khon kaen where we have 4 accts to open a new one for the DD only to find that the bank was no longer accepting new accts from AMERICANS, ** Have you heard of this from other Vets here in Thailand. The bank officer was unsure if this was an all Thai banks policy, said that she heard that there were some banks in Bangkok still taking new accts. Also I assume the DD can't go into a Joint acct for obvious reasons. How much else can go wrong? I have certainly had a year of it. We'll be checking with other banks but it doesn't seem hopeful, we didn't aask whenthis ce in effectbut it seemed the officer was quite familiar with the policy this was at TTB bank

I'm on a Non-O Retirement extension. What happens to the 800k I have in the bank if I pass away? The Account is in my name only -has no debit card so bank teller withdrawals only – but- my wife has been able to transfer in/out of my account from her account in the same bank. (I’m not worried that she will be doing this as that is the intention.) Also does Immigration need to be informed when a farang has passed away? Or does one go onto an Eternal Overstay?

After submitting on line and having the info I entered accepted I noticed in the .pdf receipt that I had failed to enter my Arrival/Departure Card number and how I entered the country. Will I be able to submit a new report or modify the current one? Thanks

There are some differences in the info asked for between the On-line TM47 and the In Person form. On Line Form In Person Form *Arrival Thailand Date Entered Thailand On___________ Do I use my entry date from 6 years ago -or actual most recent entry? I have for the past 3 yrs been using my last land entry By__________not on online form [ x ] non imm not on online form . Arrival Card no._______not on online form Stay Visa Expire -original Visa from 6 yrs. ago in old/expired passport? Original visa doesn’t have an actual expire date but has Must Enter Kingdom Before date Building Name/ Owner Name my wife’s name as she is owner or MooBaan name? Or leave blank? [ ] Use Login Information What is this? - info captured when I registered for OnLine service which was only my email. Or does it get info from this form ? Contact Person Surname not asked for on In Person form Contact Person Given Name not asked for on In Person form Contact Phone not asked for on In Person form What is the best way to handle these entries? Only one item is asterisked -*Arrival Thailand Date - should I use my arrival date from my visa from 6 yrs ago? Or use my last actual most recent arrival date? Should I just skip the non-mandatory items and just submit the form?

Assuming your condition is terminal but your death is not instant but pending in a few days/weeks or whatever you could do a funds transfer out or even an account closing yourself rather than waiting until after your passing and having someone else do it.

Tomorrow (Aug 2) in Khon Kaen I'm sked for my 1st jab of something - probably SInovac. A few weeks ago one of the large private hospitals here was selling reservations (at THB3300) for Moderna deliverable sometime between Oct and Mar. Today (Aug 1) the Thai expatvac website went on line for foreigner registration for Pfizer If I win the vax lottery and am offered all three of these vax are there any risks in getting all three?
