Stop listening to Trump. Azithromycin is an antibiotic. Covid-19 is a virus. The other two are unproven as of yet with only anecdotal evidence. Wait for real testing. If you like, stockpile some but don't take any. The other drug refimivir (something like that) that they hoped worked has failed tests.
Best bet, get a pneumonia vaccination. its pneumonia that kills them so that's what you really need to stop.
Azithromycin actually also has antiviral effects.

I thought they came to Pattaya once a year. Have had friends come here complaining they would never come again with all the sailors around. Prices tripled even of you could find a girl. Maybe they dock at Rayong or a larger port?

how could Big Joke refer the biometrics procurement case to the NACC ?
did BJ believe that the NACC was clean?
BTW, which police body in Thailand is able to independently investigate the chief of police?
why did the PM lean in onto Big Joke?
and especially, why publicly ?
" the president of the NACC commission is Police General Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit "
hmmm
" National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) president Pol Gen Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit faces a tough test to prove he and the anti-graft agency will handle the case involving Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon, his former boss, without fear or favour. "
hmmm hmmm
"On June 15 Gen Prawit signed his name to the order appointing Pol Lt Gen Surachate to the police sub-committee, which is chaired by Pol Gen Weerachai. "
hmmmm hmmm hmm
"In December 2017 the National Anti-corruption Commission (NACC) opened an investigation into Prawit's asset disclosures. "

"Chinese tourism continues to be impacted by the spread of the virus.Beijing is set to suspend all tour groups businesses, even outbound tours, from Monday, according to Global Times. It follows the closure of Shanghai’s Disneyland, and popular Sanya City shutting down all tourist sites."
the early Chinese reponse is impressive, but the efforts done by Chinese seem to indicate their scientists estimate that virus to be really *extra* dangerous.
the safety measure taken by the Chinese government seem very drastic.
That's what worries me.

Just how bad can it get?
it can get pretty bad.
it seems this outbreak will dwarf SARS numbers from 2003.

Then you have not been in Germany yet (but i expect that it will be similar in other EU countries), some professions are exempt in Germany, but for most things you would have to register as inidividual business / sole proprietor.
According to what i found on Google it looks to be similar in Thailand, a person who wishes to do any business has to register as sole proprietor first at the amphoe.
But for example the USA seem to be somehow special (compared to Thailand and Germany), there registering as sole proprietor is not necessary.
well, in Germany, Journalists, Translators, Writers, etc. working as freelancers are exempt from having to register their business.
but even if one has to register, a private person can still write invoices before registering.
registering the business in Germany is only mandatory if the work becomes regular. If all activity there was are 2 or 3 orders and then nothing anymore, a registration is not necessary.
VAT is due from a threshold of 17.500 EUR sales volume.

Working freelance would usually mean writing an invoice to the client. But to be able to do this he would need to have a business,
where does that information come from?
in all countries where I have been so far, private individuals can write invoices.

We recently relocated to a new office and had to buy several new sitcom units (from Home Pro). Our office is in a row of new shop houses all of which have air con fitted.
I was out of the office and office manager calls me and says Air Conditioning cannot be fitted because of the position too far from the door. I am not happy and come back to the office and quickly see the air con guys are talking utter rubbish and that the Office Manager is in complete pathetic Thai mode (unable to work out what is logical in the situation).
i go Berserk and frog match the air con guys and the office manager to each of the shops in our row of shop houses and show them the installed Air Con. Obviously if they can install it then why the truck can’t you???
They installed it. Problem fixed. No further issues (lost my cool, went berserk, shouted, made everyone lose face, and got the job done...no repurcussiins no comebacks)...don’t believe the rubbish you hear about losing face (within context of course).
I bet it was because they didn't want to spend more than the standard 4 meters of copper tubing because it's expensive.

The word paranoia springs to mind after reading your comments.
When we lived in Australia my Thai wife obtained residency and then citizenship.
As part of the process she had to have her fingerprints taken at the local police station by some computerized method.
These were then sent to the Thai Special Branch to verify that she didn’t have a criminal record.
If we follow your line of thinking she is now in danger of being “ fitted up” by unscrupulous police in two different countries.
Give it a rest please.
People said the same when I warned about the probably extent of illegal digital surveillance before Snowden.
I was called "paranoid" then too.
Consider all the cases in the USA where people were sent to prison or even got the death penalty based on false evidence...
Let's see, we got a kee nok farang that was at the wrong place at the wrong time, but we still lack that last piece of evidence... hmmmmm.

no, it's quite trivial - fingerprints can be temporarily erased, or skin can be cut...

How long will it take Somchai and his Allstars to disconnect passport numbers, pictures and fingerprint data disconnect?
Just asking ......... waiting for the moment I return and the immigration officer will ask, if I changed my fingerprints ????I was wondering about this too... what if a person's fingerprints change? refused entry?

2 questions. 1. Do I have the right to refuse having my finger prints taken which I see as a human rights issue?
2. If I never leave Thailand, so consequently don't cross international borders, I presume that I will not need to have my fingerprints on file, is that correct?
Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa ConnectI fear this might be introduced in the extension of stay procedure.

If that was to occur then it would easily be sorted out with your movements and alibi's.
errr... except when the person already is a suspect and has no alibi... and then the investigators want to make the case "watertight" ...

Did, I? Where did you read that information? The first thing when working in the IT sector is to be able to read and understand as well as value information.
from your general style of posting I would rather have guessed you in sales rather than in IT. or maybe HR.

Edit - i'm mistaken, it's not actual fingerprint data that's being sold on the dark web. Yet.
Only a matter of time though... that combined with ID would be very useful to nefarious types https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/yp3nzb/i-replaced-my-fingerprints-with-prosthetics-to-avoid-surveillancegood link, interesting read, at least the first part.

Lazada has all kinds of small ones. However, they are not very practical. If by any means you can fit in a normal sized one, go for that instead. My sister has one of those slim models and some larger bowls and plates won't fit.
https://www.lazada.co.th/catalog/?q=dishwasher&_keyori=ss&from=input&spm=a2o4m.home.search.go.1125719cILcN2Vyeah, well, no !
definitely not one of the models shown on that lazada page.
I'm talking about this type of washer:

I would like to buy a slim dishwasher.
which store does carry them?
Ikea has some in Europe, but I think not in Thailand

I never realised you were such a criminal mastermind.
Surely the way to go is to sandpaper your fingertips each time before entering or leaving. Smacks of being organised though, not to mention painful.
shouldn't be too painful !
I wonder what the immigration would do if the prints repeatedly come out as unreadable ?

From memory SITA partners with a local SI in Thailand. If the subject is important to you, why not reach out to SITA in Singapore to get their Thai partner/s contact info
what a strange thing to do that would be.
so I get the info about the local SI, I contact them and the answer is "of course our systems are perfectly safe and all users have been vetted at the highest level".
yeah right.
it's completely wrong to store fingerprints in the first place.

Oh dear! I am well versed in IT as well as everything from system engineering to building all from nothing up to top level administration units.
I am still not scared of everything. All systems can be breached, with the right decryptions, injections and tools. That´s why we mostly have to fix or find a cure after the damage is done. If you work in IT you know that even if you work as a low level programmer or whatever it might be.so you are just saying I am right to feel concerned.

SITA is the main player in the space you're questioning - check out their solutions
I couldn't find anything on who provides the IT solution to Thai immigration.
and even then, a reputable provider would only protect from outside criminals. it doesn't protect the data from misuse by its accredited users.

Yes, it matters. If they're found to be breaching the GDPR tthey will be sanctioned by the EU in some way.
nope.
national security is explicitly excluded from GDPR's jurisdiction.
Thailand can do anything it wants with these fingerprints.
Game lag

the problem is with 3BB routing to hong kong.
using a tool such as pingplotter you can actually see which servers are lagging.
punctual ping time has nothing to do with it, the problem is packet loss over several seconds, the problem comes and goes.
3BB technicians sent to you can't do anything because the problem is with 3BB infrastructure.
the lags are just horrible
