  1. Well, in fact we just flew Thai and Air Canada BKK to Victoria B.C. for $625 each... tickets bought on Air Canada Website April 22. One way.
  2. About a year ago... Took our young kitten to the vet for shots, first thing she did was test it for covid...
  3. Would say most of the 'feral farangs' you mention are 2 week millionaires that have never ridden a motorcycle before and most likely have a few libations under their bare bellies. All the ex-pats I associate with here are very cautious and also wear full protective riding gear while on their machines.
  4. I've had at least one 1000 cc sport or sport touring bike here since retiring here in 2008. I'm 75 now been the full length and breadth of Thailand on them as well as Kuala Lumpur with wife pillion. I've also done 5 laps of I.O.M. in 2001. Seen almost all the idiotic driving on exhibit here, had some close shaves, but fortunately have been able to use motocross, flat track, road racing and ice racing skills to avoid 'contact'. Yes, the roads here are as dangerous as they get, and the one situation that you can not avoid may be just around the next corner. RIP Keith
  5. Personally met a guy in Hua Hin that put a hit on one his mafia loan shark boss'es customers. He was out 1 year later ????
  6. Need follow up on this to see if he actually spends a day in jail. With the other hundreds of 'operations' he was shaking down, he has multi millions to buy his way out...
  7. Been here 14 years. Been inside 2 National Parks and Wat Po once before they started charging foreigners to get in there, our Thai friends tried to pay for me to enter Wat Po, and I declined their offer, and gave the attendants a piece of my mind, Fxxk that B.S. And yes to those who say 'if you don't like it go home' .... leaving for good in 21 days, been a slice.
  8. TD Bank inCanada has a very cheap and fast money transfer system that I have used to get my pension payments over here for the last few years. It has never taken more than 2 minutes from me pushing the 'transfer' button, until I hear the notification 'bing bong' from my Krungthai Banking app. It is called "VisaDirect". If you have a Thai banking ATM Card with "Visa" on it you can use the service from your TD Bank easyline app. Transfer charges are very reasonably, usually $ 8.95 for my meager pension amount!! Maybe other countries have banks that provide a similar service.
  9. Turned 75 in April, been here permanently since 2008, Thai Wife one Son 9 yrs old. Moving back to Canada June 27 (although would rather stay here! Or other nearby country) Can't buy any sort of insurance here, and will not let my son take the required death jab, as mandated, so he can go back to school. ~85% of the rest of the world are not forced to use scientifically proven ineffective masks (in fact studs in Europe have found wearing masks for long periods is dangerous to health due to aspiration of micro plastics in the masks from the manufacturing prosess) and it just drags on and on here. Immigration in Pathum Thani refused to re-new my extension of stay based on marriage last time (when I presented all the same documentation that been accepted by them for previous years), had to pay 10k to finally get it. Not willing to do that again either. Bye bye.... Yahoo Mail document_ Toxic mask microplastics found in our lungs, air, food, and water.PDF
  10. Go there if you love Hitler and Castro's treatment of people. I'm Canadian, you have MUCH more freedom here.
  11. And while you are monitoring rip off food vendors, put all the blatant gouging lotto ticket seller criminals in jail !!
