  1. Freezing is cold, no matter where you are. Whether it's 0 celsius or 32 farenheit. I don't know what the Thai's do with their warm clothing when it turns warm, but for some reason, never have even a long sleeve shirt when it's cold.

Have you actually been to Thailand. I live in Bangkok, and even when temperatures are in the 20s there are PLENTY of people with long sleeve tops on. I have also seen plenty of people wearing jackets. I think you need to get out a bit more.

I agree to what you said here. I'm living in BKK and what you said is true, the people here feel cold even with 20 DegC. I just came back from Northeast yesterday. When I was there, I can feel cold when the wind blows toward me and it is only 17degC at that time. I sleep in AC, I love cold weather but I can't take the cold at that time. The reason is I'm from malaysia and the weather there is always warm or you can call it hot.

  2. After a little research I see that Hepatitis doesn't have any symptoms of coughing, but TB does. I made a broad assumption trying to think of which STD's can be spread through salive. At the time, TB didn't come to my mind. I guess the best bet would be TB?

I travel to Thai very often for business and I have a girlfriend there. I learned a lot and understand Thai girls. You are afraid of contacting any disease, what about them? do they have a choice? Some of you guys carries disease into Thailand and they are the one who gets all the blame for, is it fair? If you guys are afraid of that, please behave. Try to understand them, they might look happy but believe me it is diferent inside them. Some of them needs true love that they never get, only those taking advantage of them for sex. I love my girlfriend and we have been together for 6 years. We went through good and bad days together but we never blame anyone. Thai girls are gentle and caring, please treat them as they are. They cough because they smoke and drink alot, try help them to stop. Just my view don't get offended. Have a nice day to all.

  3. Sounds good. Surat Thani has the port and rail. Lots of opportunity for oil palm production. They have a research facility? I would hope that they would share what they know with the rest of us. I see some pretty poor practices north of Sarat Thani. I think they need some outward bound ag. techs. to pass on the message. With the price of rubber there has to be an incentive to plant oil palm. Where can you find the price palm oil fruit is selling for?

    Hi this Jeffrey Man,

I would like to share with all those who is involve in Oil Palm plantation a nutrient to increase yield of fruits with 50% to 300% at the same time to promote healthier trees. To know more please do not hesitate to email me at [email protected]

    Regards,

  4. C-sip,

Thanks for the reply. The 7 rai is just a dry run - I want to "employ" the wife's family - I'd pay them well etc. and help them to help themselves as it were, in addition to making a living myself - if they can't handle 7 rai, well more accurately, if I can't handle them handling 7 rai....... when I said the "7 rai is ideal for growing rubber trees" - I meant that it is good ground / good soil etc. not a good size plot or whatever.... much to small to be commercially worth while for furnishing a farangs pockets.

Point taken about family driving you crazy - and to be honest that is the main purpose of the "dry run". I can see it in a couple of years - I will have invested time and MONEY and then for some reason the crop fails, or the family loose interest, and then I will be expected to inject more cash to "make it work" to a point where I will have invested more money than the place will ever make, and then I will be expected to feel sorry for the family..... having lost my investment, and will then probably be expected to start some other wild scheme (at my expense), and further more be greatful that they want to take part in it...... but thanks for thre heads up.

Its like the latest "investment" (which I totally don't mind). We bought this tractor thing for 65k for herselfs parents, because "you can make good money" renting it and your services to other farmers. Of course they are making good money - they are making 100% profit, since the machine didn't cost a penny. But as soon as they realise that this contraption is going to require a bit of maintainance every now and then, they are going to tire of it, and then it will be "better to sell it before it gets too old"..... naturally I won't be getting the money back though.

But its all done with the best of intentions on their part - it is just they lack the foresight to see these things - they are blinded by the light of their own dreams..... so I don't mind..... the way I see it is that if I had farang in-laws I would be spending alot more than 65k a year on birthdays / weddings / anniversaries / xmas / etc. ........... so its fine by me, and we are all happy - I rather that than the policy of monthly "hand outs" that seems to be more the norm.

Thanks for the invite by the way - I'll keep it in mind next time I am up Isaan - which is probably going to be Jan / Feb time.

    Cheers,

    Corkman

    Hi corkman,

Investment means risk, 7 rai is not enought to gain profit. Taking 7 years is too long and you might not be able to sustain. Are there rubber plantation around your area? if there are, I have a suggestion to make. Try supplying them nutrient for their trees to help increase yield, prevent dry bark and promote health. I have a very interesting nutrient for those tree, it will help them to make more money and they will love you for it. Want to know more, drop me a note and I'll explain to you.

    Regards,

    Jeffrey

  5. The price difference between smoked an unsomke is not that great, but the price of cup rubber is about 60 baht a kilo. so I buy latex at 10 baht more than the cup rubber , so about 70 baht per kilo. then run it through the rollers and smoke it. the price of grade 3or 4 ribbed smoked rubber is about 98 baht per kilo in Buntharik. So all in all it's a good profit margin. As I have no compatition {yet} I set the price. I also have 8000 rubber trees and the wifes Aunt has 4000 whish we start cutting in September, which is more than enough to make the factory viable.

The reason for smoking is that it preserves the rubber and if the price is low you don't have to sell. Where the unsoked or cup rubber can be degraded by fungus and will lose value. Jim

    Hi there,

I write to introduce a nutrient for your rubber trees to help increasing yield from 50% to 300% with lower contain of water and at the same time to prevent bark dryness and promote healthier trees. For more information please go through our web site at www.thevitex.com and please do not hesitate to write to me for further question, thank you.

  6. Hi Azul,

My wife has about 10 rai of land up coast aways and she has oil palm on it. Is only three years old and just getting ready to produce. She has a lot of family in the area so haven't done much except fetilize.

I was wondering about buying more land and growing some more, but I don't have the slightest clue on how much reture their is on oil palm production. I can figure it out from research information, but I was wondering what they are really getting from a practical sense. Just want to figure out the return on investment. Can you help me?

    Thanks

    Hi Azul,

As you know price of Oil Palm is going up and african's countries is now planting a lot of Oil Palm trees because of the demand. With this demand, we have produced a nutrient for Oil Palm trees to enable it to produce double the yield and promote health. Plants exhibit stronger growth with increased resistance againts diseases, have higher rate of flowering and fruit setting and improves the quality of fruits. The nutrient is easy to use, save and cost saving. We are now exporting to India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and a few more. Please do not hesitate to write to me for further question, thank you.

    Regards,

    Jeffrey Man

  7. My wife purchased 100 rai in Nakhon Si Thammarat last year. The land price was 15,000 baht per rai (title has been changed to her name at ampur). It is being turned into an oil palm plantation. We are not going to be living in Nakhon Si Thammart but nearby around Songkhla and were worried about not being able to keep an eye on a rubber crop so we decided on palm. It seems that a lot of rubber production goes missing when the owner is not around to watch it.

Palm is harvested twice a month and we can be onsite during the harvest. It has been a bit of a worrying start with the recent heavy flooding down here. About 100 trees were lost of the 2,000 planted. We are now having to go in and raise a low patch on the property which can be done for about 1,200 per rai.

The prices I have seen for existing palm and rubber plantations is over the top. It seems much better to buy raw land and do it yourself if you have the time. Palm will take 3-4 years to start producing and rubber will take about 7.

With the current prices for palm and rubber it seems land can be a good earner in the future. I'm betting commodity prices continue to rise though. I am hoping with the advent of bio-diesel that the palm price can be at least stabalized where it is now and hopefully move higher.

Feel free to PM me if I might be of help.

Hi there, I'm Jeffrey Man from Malaysia. I agree with you that palm and rubber will have a bright future. We are a company specialise in research for palm and rubber production, that is why we produced fine nutrient for both trees, to double the yield and to also protect the trees. Research done after using the nutrient, it is able to increase 50% to 300% of the production of yield. The nutrient is safe to use, cost saving and effective. Want to know more email to [email protected]

  8. Hello Ron

I can answer one of your questions with some certianty, as I buy liquid latex from the locals. It is about 30% solid to liquid, so 3 litres of liquid latex makes about 1 Kilo of rubber. The percenage varies, but only by a few percent depending on rain type of tree etc Average output per tree in my area is 1 kilo per month, but averages are just that some trees produce more and some much less. Hope that helps JIM

    Hi James,

Do you want to increase the yield with more solid to liquid, increase latex from 50% to 300% and keep your trees healthy and prevent bark dryness? If you are interested to know more email to [email protected]

  9. Several plantations in and around Chanthaburi to Kaeng Hang Meow.

All producing trees above 15 years, average yield is 300-400 gpt, twice a week with ethylene booster. 20% GT1, the rest 600

One Jungle plantation, trees over 40 years old, average yield 200-500 gpt every second day with ethylene booster. Seedlings, obviously

    Together about 3000 trees.

    Hi there,

I'm Jeffrey Man from Malaysia. We have a very interesting nutrient for rubber trees that are best to replace the stimulant used now. It can increased production from 50% to 300% and at the same time it can prevent bark dryness. Research don on non-production trees for more than 3 years is able to produce latex after using the nutrient for less then 48 hours. Interested to know more, email to [email protected]. Thank you and hope to hear from you.

  10. Any members in the LOS involved or know anything about the do's / don't of a rubber plantation business. Cost of trees, time to produce rubber, best type of soil, etc....

    Any information appreciated.

Hi there, I'm from Malaysia and I have a very interesting product to share with you on how it could help you to double the production of latex and how it could keep the tree healthy and prevent bark dryness, with cost saving and double your earning. Research done by department of agriculture in Indonesia and Rubber Research Institute Malaysia and proven to enhance the production of yield from 50% to 300%. Email to me if you need further information on this to [email protected]
