142 test positive for Covid-19, most contracted domestically
smedly replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
if all these people are testing before leaving their home countries surely they must be contracting the virus either during travel or in quarantine or there is something wrong with their tests, either way a lot of people who were supposed to be virus free are getting positive tests in Thailand - something just doesn't seem right about this -
VIDEO: Biker fined 1,000 baht after crashing in to tollway barrier
smedly replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
so here we have the righteous anti big bike squad having a dig at a hated biker and yet many of those commenting routinely go out on their scooter and drive while drinking she should be allowed on expressways all big bikes should - I'm glad she is making a stand - good for her PS - she wants to practise a little with her braking lol- 31 replies

smedly replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News

Siriraj’s dean confirms COVID-19 vaccine safety and efficacy
smedly replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
approval delivery two different things but what it tells me is that any vaccine deployed before June will likely be from China -

may as well make the same rule for entering a supermarket - 7/11 - gas station - or anywhere for that matter - time to hire a medical team of testers to follow me around and test me every time I want to enter a building This is literally taking the prize for all time stupid and there was stiff competition

Chonburi: There's no "cover-up" in the testing for Covid - here's the proof
smedly replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
so if you are testing and there are no detections why is there still a lockdown with many Thai people with no incomes with businesses shut or limited opening Lock off Pattaya from people entering the city from outside and open it up - according to your latest report of no detections this would make sense - let get things rolling again and get people back to work earning money -
First shipment of COVID-19 vaccine to arrive in Thailand this week
smedly replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I think the lack of detail says it all, they know the Chinese Sinovac vaccine is dodgy and don't want to draw attention to the fact they are using it, that alone just raises concerns that they keep attempting to hide the details - of course there will be a big show of all the cabinet and PM and deputies getting a shot of (saline) the vaccine -
I believe they are both considerably more expensive and more likely the reason Thailand will exclude them Hasn't there been some very dodgy incidents with Sinovac from China, trials in S America halted etc, and who is using the Chinese Vaccine so that data can be equally scrutinised or is it only being used in China Is there anyone here who would not have problems with a vaccine from China - maybe they will sell it on Lazada as AstraZeneca lol

VFS Global launches COVID-19 testing service in Thailand
smedly replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
and if you test positive - who will be at your doorstep then ? men in white coats and taken off to some quarantine centre and charged 3kbaht a day no matter if you have symptoms or not, in the UK you would be asked to quarantine in your own home -

Thailand's Covid-19 situation 'not a cause for concern yet'
smedly replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
you are missing one very vital point - it is not just those with symptoms or who are ill that spread the virus - you might get it and become ill after being infected by someone who has no idea they have it - just how many of those people are there - maybe you are special and can tell just by looking at someone if they are infected or not -
Thailand's Covid-19 situation 'not a cause for concern yet'
smedly replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It is the only way to gauge how deep #### you're in and what measures need to be taken to get out of it or when you can relax measures - unless Thailand is testing then it is only guess work - and a temp check is useless and a waste of time If you don't care then up to you, maybe when you get it you'll be asking the question - why didn't they tell me it was this widespread -

Thailand's Covid-19 situation 'not a cause for concern yet'
smedly replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This can only be determined by mass random testing How many people has Thailand tested to reach this conclusion - what is the "R-Rate" across the country Without the above you can not determine anything- 73 replies
