Officers stationed at the pier witnessed a remarkable influx of tourists from April 12 to 15, with an average of 30,000 Thai visitors and foreign tourists per day seeking leisure and relaxation on the islands

Sorn mentioned that he bought the foreigner a new cup of coffee but his wife threw it away and accused him of speaking rudely. Sorn insisted he did not use offensive language or behave poorly towards the couple.

you behaved poorly when you sprayed them with dirty water in a petrol station - not very bright was it, you should have at least replaced the now contaminated coffee and apologized at the very least

    Yes, that's the explanation.

The same Happened in my area in North Pattaya.

When all the jungle is removed, they will plant few banana trees to do like it is now agricultural land. Few weeks after the banana trees are all dry and dead and the area looks disgusting until the vegetation comes back with rainy season.

oh forget about Chang Mai.........well done Thailand  - a hub that you can claim as accurate - well done

i am sure there is a massive exit out of the country right now, why not publish the actual figures

you think sonkran as it is now is what people want for 5 days, I want to respect traditional culture, I will stay in my room for 6 daya, I don't want to take part in a shambolic cluster ### that is disrespectful to traditions going back 100,s of years, what i see now is shameful

  5. i thought negotiations  were going with the Muslims  in the south

seems like everywhere they will agree nothing - cut them loose - what does it matter, let them support themselves, what do  they want,  thailand doesn't have a welfare system like we have in the west - let them do their own thing as long they stay there, what is the actual problem

What would be the point for another speculation? We have more than enough of them already.

Sometimes it makes sense to realize "I don't know what happened" and not pretend to know.

I would love to read follow up articles to all those articles which describe a minute or two of an event and let us all speculate about what really happened. Or how about writing articles only with sufficient information?

If you want to ignore me, please go ahead.

it is called discussion and could be based on experience, sitting on the sidelines and being a smart### contributes nothing

Thailand is gearing up for an extended three-week Songkran festival this year, expected to significantly boost the country's tourism sector, with projected revenues reaching into the tens of billions of baht.

utter nonsense, what tourists, do they mean Thais who cannot afford to party for a week, this just sounds like desperation

Obviously, we all have ideas what might have happened.

But I find it always amazing that within 10 comments we have at least three who are sure what must have happened - and all have different stories. Amazing!

and you have contributed absolutely nothing to the thread except criticism of other posters - you are very close to my ignore list
