Thank you for this mushroom/burning discussion, I understand a lot more, I'm not so much against the burning now as it's an important hilltribe income source

I can see myself walking into a 7/11 with my passport to do a chip scan and getting confused looks, I don't know what they are supposed to do.

Udon to Nan
in Isaan
I drove the lonely road from Nan to Loei, the road is narrow and mostly dirt, was stopped by a massive buffalo half way along which after a few minutes staring at me moved out of the way like a gatekeeper, there is signs warning of local gangs from across the border, at the southern exit the police checkpoint said I was a bit too adventurous. I won't be doing that again... Its a long way full of nothing... no phone reception and no civilisation.

Singapore sounds good, I will look for more info on that, any leads?

I want to trade now and then, not often, amounts around B200K as needed. Cash out to pay annual rent etc.

The Thai workers want to go home but their employers say no... really?
Sounds like some dodgy business is going on there.

Is there a crypto exchange in Thailand that is doing ID verification using documents, not Dip-Chip since July?
-
I went to Upbit thailand site, the first screen that comes up says they also do "dip chip" (with your non-existant Thai ID) that's a dead end for foreigners.
Bitkubs tax reciept e-mail is a record of the fee paid on their transaction fee to get credits from the tax man.

Being a foreigner I lost trading access about 2 months ago (I dont have anything much on the exchang),
If I try to verify Bitkub say they are still working on verification for foreigners but they havent updated that for months now, I sent a few requests for info but always get a cut and paste response.
Is there another exchange to register with so I can trade in a year or so?

Just came back from there also, after a bit of a loop, Nan-Bo Kluea-Pua-Nan ... fantastic area as you say.
Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a nice ride, Hwy #1081.
Give it a #1 rating, actually a must see / do, and best so far in TH, AFAIK
On topic ... didn't look for or buy any milk ????
the 1081 is a dream ride

My accout was suspended today, i'll have to wait for Bikub to work out their workaround.
Seems a bit <removed> of them.

Yesterday I got a Bitkub email to start doing verification
Hooray, I logged in and saw the same message, no document uploading
I raised a ticket asking what foreigners can do
They replied today that I can dip-chip if I am Thai, no mention of foreigners again
I clicked I am not satisfied with the response
ther next email

Nigel Farange the ex MP in the old dart has lost all bank access in the UK last week because he is being sanctioned for having a show on RT for a while years ago
the banks all all working together following orders from above
That could happen to anyone who works in an industry threataning the status quo, crypto, gold dealers etc.
Many storys like this in Australia too.

A friend in Aus went to divorce court, he used to have a lot of friends socialising at his house regularly and would buy beer and whiskey to keep a stock for visitors every week plus bulk buy for himself using his debit card.
his alcohol consumption was used against him because of bank records.

Australias biggest bank went through this last monday, Ireland had the same a few days later, now Thailand.
as a side note in the UK Nigel Farrange who ran Brexit has been de-banked, he has to leave the country to exist.
Banks are not your friend.

Except some foreigners have already reported of going through the process in branch
It's like immigration, up to each branch what rules they follow
