Just finished my beef curry,very spicy and even better than the original one i made yesterday.
1x 1/2 kilo beef = 100 baht
1x Tin of tomatos = 22 baht
1x Tin Mushrooms = 40 baht
3 Med Potatos = 25 baht
1x Onion = 5 baht
Add my spicy curry powder form uk = 2 baht + cummin/corriander/ginger/sugar/salt
204 baht for 8 portions minimum and the best in Pattaya/Jomtien,as i have tried them all.

They come from miles around to taste my indian curries lol,also the gf beef stew with dumplings is awesome.Forgot to say i put spinach in sometimes and thats very tasty too.

I am the first one that has no moral right to complain about drugs as i did a some drugs many years ago,and this is not a new thing with young backpackers.However what the drugs scene is doing,is bringing in thai and farang drug dealers and more crime to fight over areas.This is the bad side of drugs and anyone who cannot see thats what the cops might be doing is on drugs
The other problem is that the cops will no dounbt have their areas to sell or get a commission,and thats why i believe there should be a crackdown as some of the lads and birds are ruining a beautiful place.

I think my dogs are well socialized - they are not afraid of visitors. In fact, I think it is just the opposite. I have many visitors and the dogs are always excited to greet them and be petted. Not all visitors are enthusiastic about the dogs but none have been mean or have in any way discouraged the dogs.
They also get along with other dogs at the previous owner had 13 dogs.
I have a rolled up newspaper in the house and shake it at the dogs but I never hit them. I don't want my dogs to be afraid of me.
I dont mean to be disrespectful but it seems like the dogs are the boss.The noise from the newspaper will be enough to teach them not to bark.Also maybe put a choke chain on pull back and click it when they are naughty.If the chain is put on correctly there is no pain.I would guess you havent got any choke chains as this is the first step to obedience.I have neighbors,farang man married to thai lady,they have 6 of these screatching demented animals and let them off to piss and shiit everywhere but their own property and they bark like mad.There is no control over the dogs other than training them to shit away from their property and one day i will lose it completely and chop their heads off.

I have never walked on the water side of beach rd after 7pm in 6 years of living in Pattaya,and lo and behold i have never been mugged,attacked hassled.I know in a decent owrld we should be safe anywhere but this is not a safe world no more

My personal fave is what my niece was told at school in Devon. Apparently you must say "coffee without milk" when ordering a black coffee now.

Not an expert on this topic but you seem to be making excuses for people who are working illegaly here,even though from your own admittance,you say dealing with life or death issues.So also you might be saying that no insurance is available too,which is very bad.
Why dont we all work illegaly and stuff the rules,the answer is most dont ,and if the fees go up so be it.

So, to call someone an idiot for not doing their job is OK but to call them Kwai can have serious consequences. Never seen the difference between the two myself.
Oh yes and over in the UK I was sad myself when we were no longer able to have some of our favourite nursery rhymes. Baa Baa Black Sheep springs to mind immediately.

Pure Blonde is great beer Low carb....I have only found one place that has it Beer garden in Pattaya Walking....
I think the Aussie bar/boxing roo on 3rd road does it,as it is an Aussie beer/lager,and i believe witherspoons on soi bukhaw does it too.
Not a big beer drinker myself but i do like Leo compared to the other crap on offer.Victoria bitter is nice at Boxing Roo and i am partial to a few ciders also.

My sister in law has been a real bitch to my older brother because he married a thai girl and had taken her back to live with our mum and dad,mainly because they are old and the thai wife works for hours taking care of my mum and dad.She is a great girl and my sister just slags her off all the time.

I really don't know why people continue to go to this Hospital. There pricing changes when you go to pay.
This hospital is best for people on holiday who have lots of money to throw around.
I went for some cosmetic surgery a few years back, was given a price. The next day before I was about to be put to sleep, i was asked to go and Pay up,,, the price had gone up about 20.000 bt... lol.
When I asked about it, and told them I had changed my mind, the price soon went down again.

There is little you can do and probably even less that you should do. You are basically swimming upstream.
I encounter this on a very regular basis. It's a part of the fabric of Thai society and I don't think it's going to change for a very long time -- the old dinosaurs will be replaced by younger dinosaurs. Basically, try to sooth your anger and let this be a Thai thing and let them handle it on their own. How things look are important here.
