  1. Hi guys, I've always been using the Shell V Power Diesel B7 (as per recommendation of German Auto to use Premium Diesel) in my F34 and was happy with the mileage with a full tank as it could go beyond 1k km (a trip from Nonthaburi to Songkhla and I was still having a quarter tank left). However, in the recent months, a full tank goes much less (around 750-800 km) for same trip. I wondered why and I started to test with 600 baht top up to see how long it can last for the past few months. I found out that the car could barely make 230-250km on 600baht now. I always keep my speed less than 80km/h at 1300-1500 rpm so that the car takes less fuel. I keep wondering why the sudden change as I'm following the same service intervals as per recommendation by the dealership. With that being said, I wanted to know what are the differences between the Shell V Power Diesel B7 and the PTT UltraForce Diesel B7. Are there any differences and can I swap to PTT UltraForce Diesel B7? Would it give better mileage? Thanks in advance for your answers/recommendations/help.
  2. I think it has been common practice for Imm to ask for 12 month bank statement. I remember 2 years ago, when I went renewing my non-o at Nonthaburi. The bank letter and a book updated was not sufficient. They asked for a 12 month bank statement signed and stamped by the bank. Once submitted, they accepted my documents but after 2 weeks, immigration called to provide the current month statement, once again signed and stamped by the bank. I did provide it and everything went fine. My wife asked them why is this require because it does not even feature in the requirement list, the lady answered that because there's no proof of income. The top gentlemen wanted to see if I have income or cash flow before approving my extension as my account was always idle. The year after, I did prepare all related statement etc., there was no issue. However, last year, I started work again and was able to provide a work permit together with a 12 month bank statement, it was flatly refused. We were told that the work permit was enough together with the bank letter and a bank book update. I hope that my little experience help others in that matter.
  3. You'll find out later that you won't be able to use your foreign credit card at all. Truemoney Wallet was a boon as I could pay at 7-11 using my foreign CC. I just had a conversation with their customer support as the application keeps rejecting my new credit card as the old got one expired. I told them that my new CC requires authentication by my bank and the application no longer gives me the option to do that. The CS replied and insisted that it's the new policy in Thailand, no foreign credit card allowed in TrueMoney Wallet anymore. I asked who implemented such policy, the CS answered that it is the Bank of Thailand. Go figure if that's true or not but well, I'm stopping TrueMoney Wallet altogether.
