  1. https://www.imigrasi.go.id/en/permohonan-visa-republik-indonesia-wisatawan-lanjut-usia-pensiunan/ Basically apply for a one year visa via a Travel Agent, as they will sponsor you. In Bali, ability to pay USD 500 rent per month, and spend USD 1500 per month. And the real quirk. Must employ two Indonesians. It used to be one. That is, a maid. A retirement visa in Indonesia is not a new thing. Previously it was a bit more like Thailand where you had to have USD 17,000 in the bank, and then you get a one year visa. No mention in the link of 5 to 10 year visa. For me, I am married to an Indonesian. After 7 years of marriage I have a lifetime visa, although I have to visit immigration every 5 years.
  2. The first time that I saw this discussed was in 1982. So don't hold your breath. Something that never gets mentioned. In the Vietnam War Era Americans could own land in Thailand in their own name. No special requirements, except to be American. I am not sure what year that was stopped.
  3. It used to be very difficult to get PR in Thailand. In my 32 years in Thailand I never met one person who had PR. What is the situation today ?
  4. Thailand is losing tourists to other countries that have made arriving just like before. "Singapore and Philippines bookings were at 72 percent and 65 percent of 2019 levels, respectively, while Thailand was at just 24 percent. https://www.thejakartapost.com/business/2022/04/13/southeast-asias-tourism-industry-begins-uneven-recovery.html.
  5. I lived in Thailand for 32 years. For the last 8 years I have been living in Indonesia. I prefer Indonesia.
  6. In Indonesia there is Shariah law in the province of Aceh, Northern Sumatra, and nowhere else.
  7. It happens elsewhere too. Yesterday in Balikpapan, Indonesia. Brake failure. 21 dead. 36 injured. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Am54Lgzeps&ab_channel=SyahrulAnwar
  8. In Indonesia if you have an Indonesian wife you can get a lifetime visa after 7 years of marriage. Although you do have to visit immigration every three years.
  9. What Thailand do is something similar to this. Note, able to buy land, and own your business. https://ariellissolutions.com/services/mm2h/?gclid=CjwKCAiA55mPBhBOEiwANmzoQuchlDH7fFu4RPcTLAQgzXafI9R_zwW1HUHyM3Q6Zd6Xcfmt_IpYoxoCtBAQAvD_BwE
  10. There is an important number missing. How many healthy children died ? A study in the USA of 48,000 people age 18 and under who contracted Covid 19. 335 died. All of those had severe medical problems. Diabetes, leukemia etc. So is it worth risking the possible side effects of a jab when the chance of death for a healthy child is zero ?
  11. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/thailand/ Right click in any white area to get a drop down list. Select View page source. Tick the Line Wrap box at the top left. Scroll down to line 767 for 7 day averge of Covid cases. Yesterday 21,784 today 21,710. So a possible peak. Line 1171 for 7 day moving average of deaths. Yesterday 198, today 213. Deaths trail cases by about 15 days.

Scroll down to line 767 for 7 day moving average of cases. Yesterday 21,784, today 21,710. So a possible peak. 7 day moving average for deaths is on line 1171. Yesterday 198, today 213. Deaths trail cases by about 15 days. So if this is the peak of cases expect deaths to peak around September 3rd. Note that you can look at Covid data for any country in the world on the link.
