Is it like the Yasothon festival where the rockets are early on Sunday morning?
Never been to one but would love to go, are the locations easy to find / get to from accommodation and when you say early Sunday, what is early?

More runways, OK but not all airlines have resumed flights to Thailand and if they have they are often fewer of them, fewer seats, higher prices. Not easy to get all the proposed capacity being used if the flights don't happen

Our local 7/11 sells out of hours, rings it up a 5PM, they even deliver. Have they dropped the tax reduction as well? I see some drink has shot up, probably in anticipation, eg 100 pipers 8 year blended malt went up 2 weeks ago from 679 baht to 815.
Yes noticed an increase in booze costs not a decrease, did the tax reduction flounder or is it just the mega monopolies are just taking more and even more profit?

the government’s policy to tackle air pollution and affirm clean air as a fundamental human right.
So we can look forward to no burning pollution this year then...

May depend where you are.
For me living in Chiang Mai, Suzuki seemingly pulling out of the whole province is an appalling reflection on a company that makes rather good bikes so if you intend to be up here, cant recommend Suzuki

Is this apart of "The ASEAN Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution" you know the one that was signed close to 20 years ago to tackle the problem?

Travel to Chiang Mai, whilst every now and then I like the train it is very slow and as a norm most of the journey is at night, so you don't really get to see some of Thailand's wonderful land and city scape. I read the buffet car / food service has been reopened but how good it is post covid I don't know. Booze is still prohibited so it is not for sale.
Yes, we currently have quite a bit of pollution, not as bad as in previous years so I am not finding it prohibitive. Apart from that it is a wonderful time of year, still cool in the morning but not for long, mid 30's in the afternoon. quite a lot of life now, things to see and do.
If it was me, I would fly.

This is the exact same thing that has happened with Uber.
Ban foreign companies and then create a local one to take its place and make billions.
Guarantee you that that will happen.
what Thai company replaced Uber?

My no 1 gp is dr morgan at hcmc, busy but very good great english.
I do most other stuff at Bangkok, again no language problems at all top class personnel and facilities.
Had surgery twice at Sirphat, follow up at Ram, all good.
Derm at Ram.
These all top notch in my opinion, tend to prioritise on dr morgans recommendation.

Very little point in having one without the other.
Not dropping the immigration nonsense = no genuine mass tourism.
Not opening all bars, restaurants, clubs = no genuine mass tourism.
Dropping the immigration nonsense and opening up = relatively upwards tourism.
Simple maths equation in my book, but the TAT and others are incredibly bad with numbers and calculators
Not so;
I think whilst the current reasonable measures are in place TAT will be able to assure the government and us that tourism has returned to normal with only a 1% drop on previous record highs and that is because of a minor drop off in booking from Russia...

Endemic?
Isn't that the same as Pandemic but restricted to a locality?
Are they saying Covid is endemic in Thailand even when other nations no longer have a significant problem?

Whatever plans they might have for Pattaya, it will always be a hookers paradise.
Now that's a fact.
Maybe Marriot will be able to include that as a new string to their services?
