  1. Our tappers want to open one farm on monday. I went there today to check the farm, and surprised to see them chopping all the undergrowth. They just do all of the maintenance as part of our partnership.

I have been buying fertilizer, mainly 15 15 15 supertop, at 700 baht a bag, but last year, lashed out for Yara, at 1000 b/ bag.

I was going to change to 20 12 18 or some such this year, but tappers ask for 13 13 21.

Trees are 9yo. Been cutting 2 years these ones. Thoughts?

We put 1kg per three trees, as recommended by the wholesaler. Thanks.

  2. My goodness. I do hope the snake was not traumatised by this horrendous ordeal. Please. Try to find it, and feed it some rats to try to ease the shock. Take it to sleep in mils bed, as she wont be needing it. Then, after it has completely rested, and has a full belly, release it into a snake paradise of some sort. But first, flog the <deleted> over the head with a long handled shovel.

  3. Had a big stoush, started in the hotel lobby when they tried to steal my money. I got slashed up there with a blade that I didn't see. Place looked like a <deleted> abottoir when went back with the cops. Anyway, fight spilled out on tbe street. Couple mocy taxi got involved, got dealt with fairly quickly, endwd up in a stale mate until the cops come.

All parties to Pattaya police station, review their cctv footage, and the <deleted> told to give me my money back by the cops. Stupid people. Show police footage of themselves attacking me. Pfft. Not everyone has the physical ability to stand up for themselves, but as we get older, we need to maybe slow down a bit.

  4. Just yesterday, I went to Sisaket immigration with wifes house book and id copies, passport photos, and visa in passport, to get a letter of residency to renew my license.

The bugger there just datestamped a previous acknowledgement note stapled in my passport, and signed it. Assured me that that is all I need.

Well it bloody wasn't. After rrooting around at land transport office for half an hour, I was given 2 copies of a letter, which I heard need to be signed by our local orbortor.

Well it bloody wasn't.  My wife didn't understant either. So back home 90km, and today I had a look at the letters, and work out that I had to go back to immigration with the bloody things. So tomorrow, 180km round trip for another game of human ping pong. Jai yen yen.

And what do you suggest if your dog bails up a cobra?

Try and risk getting bitten by trying to catch it or hit it over the head with a shovel?

I like animals, but you're in laa laa land if you think people with no experience should

    try and catch a cobra.

Had a dog killed by a snake already. Wouldn't eat in the evening, and dead stiff in the morning. If I can help it at all, my grand daughters will not die like that. You may not care about our family, but I do. Bye bye snake.

better to just forget about it.  A snake is a snake... a reptile.  Its not a little devil costume out to get you.

Oh my goodness. Religion has enlightened you to the extreme. We are not worthy oh snake lover.

  7. Caring about snakes more than kids lives. Something at bit smelly with this section of the population. There are plenty of places for snakes to be where there are no people around. Any of you ever done a risk assessment? Of course not. Elimination it the first step.

  8. A tip for downloading the forms and printing them. My printer was set for A4 size, and missed the last couple of lines, so you may needt to reset to letter size. Arrive at the consulate early though, and in front of the shop across the road, there is a guy set up with computer and forms. He will fill them in and print for you, and check you have everything in order for I think it was 80 baht. Easy.

My Caucasian gf wears shoes in the house.

In my culture we take our shoes off.

Should I teach her. Her parents. Her friends. Her family some manners and tell them it's unacceptable to wear shoes in the house???

    /sarcasm

Yes. Dirty, and disrespectful. There we have it. No shoes in my house. The floors are clean.

  10. Adults at well. The more noise they make, shows how much they are enjoying it. I trained our kids out of it, but it's not my place to tell others kids what to do. A bugger when you see a pretty lady, and her mouth is like a cement mixer, and you can see all of the engredients being churned.
