This is just another example of do nothing Sretta doing absolutely nothing for the Thai people, refusing to honor his responsibilities, and bowing down to corporate interests. Big Agra is responsible for much of the current pollution, and they must be punished by any means possible. Perhaps it's time for the people to take action and do what needs to be done.

Taliban Supreme Leader, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada is a tiny man, a man with no sense of humanity, a man completely lacking in dignity, morality or any sense of spirituality. This is a man who is not only not a religious man this is a man who has no concept of what spirituality looks like, and if there is a creator, he does not even know this idiots first name.
A pox on his house.

He should have been on the phone 2 years ago trying to talk Biden out of not running again, trying to talk him into stepping aside so someone younger and more vital could run, and if not, at a very minimum trying to talk him into a legitimate vice presidential candidate, rather than Horrific Harris.

This isn't the first time that Sretta has refused to take action, he's refused to take action on virtually every issue since he's taken office. The man has proven himself to be the very definition of a do-nothing PM. He is an empty suit.

While public urination is certainly frowned upon, where the ire of the people should be directed is towards Sretta, the PT and Thaksin, for metaphorically urinating all over the Thai people by blatantly stealing an election. And then pretending that it's a democracy.

The thing about this guy is that he appears intelligent but I really don't think he is. What they don't seem to get is that taxing people to death is not a solution, so if you reduce luxury taxes people will start buying luxury goods, if you reduce wine taxes people will start buying fine wine. They keep talking about it but I don't see them doing it, it's basic common sense.
Thailand could have a very vibrant fine wine industry, the five star hotels could really benefit with major wine events, and the country could become a regional mecca (hub?) for wine afficionados. But they need to lower the tax to a reasonable rate (10 to 30% total, including local taxes and Vat) and then you've got an additional appeal for the wealthy tourists that they keep on talking about.

Being Jewish does not give your opinion any more weight on it though, when you consider the event recently where Jonathan Glazer’s Oscars acceptance speech and the controversy over his statement led to more than 450 Jewish creatives denounce his Oscars speech in open letter
Well you are likely right, but Glazer's speech simply proved how little tolerance there is for open descent, when it comes to Israel, Israeli policy and breaking the ranks with other Jews.

What can one even say? Perhaps this guy was absent when they were passing out genetic brain material at birth. What an idiot, what was he thinking, did he really think that he would get away with it? What was his plan? Perhaps the guy was so dense he just never even thought about it. Never pondered it, never considered the ramifications of his stupidity. Hopefully this guy will spend some time in the big house, I'm sure that the local Thai guys will have a lot of fun with him.

Yes it's likely allergies, and and it's likely due to the horrific air quality that we've been experiencing for the last several months. I experienced something similar in Los Angeles many years ago, went to a very good doctor, he did a series of chest x-rays, blood panels, and many other tests all of which came back negative. I thought I was suffering from lung disease, as my symptoms were of a respiratory nature. He told me that I had simply developed an allergy to pollution, and that over the course of a lifetime we develop allergies.
Millions of people throughout Thailand are having enormous problems due to the air quality, which the authorities seem to have absolutely no interest in doing anything about. One of the few things we can do to protect ourselves is to buy very high quality, very high-end air filters for use within the house.

Of course he hasn't been ill, this entire thing has been staged, and it's has been created only for the most naive amongst us. The vast majority understand exactly what's been going on, a deal was cut between the Army and PT to allow the Army to steal the election and install PT as the non-democratically appointed administrator, with the Army pulling all the strings, again. And in exchange Toxic Thaksin was given total immunity. It's likely a deal was also cut for his daughter, and it's just a matter of time until she returns.

Arrest the monkeys, charge them with unnecessary aggression and bad behavior, these monkeys are even worse than the foreigners, we must wrestle control of the monkeys.

Are you saying it's OK in Thailand to steal intellectual property?
Absolutely. I think it's okay to steal from corporations anywhere in the world, however in the west they pursue you for that kind of stuff. Here they don't thankfully. I steal movies, books, music, TV shows, software, and anything else that's available on the torrent sites, and it doesn't affect my conscience one iota. As a matter of fact I love stealing from corporations, it's a hobby of mine, any opportunity I get.
If you want to give these toxic corporations your money that's your business.

Errr, what's the chance that a random Thai woman met by chance speaks English well enough to a/ even understand a western joke b/ has a western sense of humour?
I've never encountered any Thai woman that had a western sense of humour, and I have never been amused by what has them rolling around laughing fit to bust.
What I have encountered are Thai women that pretend to understand western humour as they can sense a big pay off comin'.
I supposed it just depends on one's perspective, if you have a good sense of humor, if you're goofy, if your light-hearted and you have good banter, Thai women love that. Hopefully you're able to get a woman to laugh. If you can get a Thai woman to laugh and if you can get a Thai woman to think that you're funny, you're way ahead of the game.

I knew that many western women that were prepared to go out with a guy to get the freebies, but are not interested in giving him a home run. I imagine it would be similar in LOS.
I even had a nurse friend that used to to go to pubs for an evening with her friends, the guys would flock around and they would get free drinks all night, then they would leave.
She used to laugh about it, and she was actually a nice person. I hate to think what nasty women get up to.
While I think that applies to a percentage of women even in Thailand, I do know a number of guys who get to the prize, and it happens more quickly than you would think. Of course it depends on how the guy looks, his age, his charm, his intelligence, his wit, his banter, his humor and things like.

I agree, but criticism of Israel, and criticism of Israeli policies should not be equated with Jew hating. It's simply not the same thing, They are two completely different things.
But they certainly are a convenient talking point for Israel and their extremely toxic and over funded lobby.

I think, in general, that sums it up.
Maybe we should ask: How many Thai women would choose a farang if Thai men with the same income were available for them?
It seems most mixed relationships here are between relatively poor Thai girls and women and farangs who have a lot more money/income than those women.
When I met my poor, small, cute and brown gf, I don't think any Thai men were interested in her. The Thai males I talked to (in general) all wanted white, tall and not so skinny girls.
Even now, when I ride in a taxi, and the driver ask me if I have a wife, I say yes, she is small and brown and they laugh. Like, why would any guy want a small brown girl?
There are huge differences in our culture and almost anything else. We can overcome those hurdles, but a relationship with people with similar upbringing is just so much easier.
Brown and caramel is an absolutely gorgeous skin tone and pale skinned white is so unbelievably overrated. I once came up with the idea of opening a bar and calling it The Chocolate Bar and only hiring women who had dark skin. It would be so much fun to interview the pale skinned girls and tell them that they weren't qualified because their skin was too light.
Light-skinned people need to get over their feeling of superiority based on nothing but their skin tone. Black and brown are beautiful.

The Jews have been expelled since the beginning of history and specifically since the 12th century. from 100 countries such as France, Italy or Spain have forced their exodus and expulsion for racist and religious reasons. The Jewish people have never recognized the Palestinian State drawn up by the UN... The goal is to conquer those lands again and now they have a cause; the attacks of October 7.Now they are making a mistake again with the extermination of the Palestinians, justifying that Hamas invaded and murdered in their lands. This is a race that is uncomfortable for the existence of all the Muslim countries that surround it.
I do agree that Israel is making a historically significant mistake and is isolating themselves to a dangerous extent throughout the world there are very few countries left that remain allied with the genocidal policies of Israel.

About time, I just hope the senate don't put a spanner in the works.. so to speak
This is true and we certainly know how toxic the incredibly corrupt Senate is, where their power comes from, and how half of them were installed by the most toxic institution in the nation. The Thai army.
Aren't their terms supposed to expire this year?

You have a wild imagination, this discussion is about marriage between a man and a woman, a man and a man, and a woman and a woman, and somehow your twisted mind lead this to animals and kids? I didn't even know you could marry an animal legally.
I would advise getting some help, there are some very good shrinks in SE Asia. You might have to travel to Singapore, but it would be worth it.

While much of what he says is reasonable and good, it also has to be said that objecting to the Israeli and the IDF's disproportionate response to the Gaza terrorist acts is not a form of antisemitism, and should not be interpreted as such. Too often the media portrays people who are sympathetic to the women and children who are being slaughtered in Gaza as being anti-Semitic.
It is not! As an American Jew, who has railed against much Israeli policy for decades now, I can say definitively and positively, it is not an act of anti-Semitism to be critical of Israeli policy.
That doesn't mean I support the terrorists on any level. I despise them and I wish them dead, but there has to be some reasonable proportion and the IDF is not demonstrating that on any level.

Having spoken to quite a few Thai women about this topic, I've heard things like many foreigners drink a lot less which is very appealing, a lot of foreigners are romantic and treat their women with respect, and are kind-hearted with women. And most don't engage in aggressive behavior towards them. Of course there's the element of financial security too, but that always comes into play no matter where you are.

Everything in life comes with the trade-off. Nothing in life is free, if you're going to invite tens of millions of tourists in your country you're going to have a few bad apples, you're going to have some idiots that don't behave properly. Same applies to expats, a small percentage are going to misbehave, so you treat them just like anybody else, you discipline them, you fine them, you arrest them, you jail them, whatever is appropriate.
But you don't just complain that foreigners are misbehaving, it's just gets to the point where it's just boring, and very old after a while. Stop with the nonsense, deal with it like adults, do what adults do, which is to face problems and they deal with them. Children moan and groan and show outrage online.

Let us hope this incredibly corrupt man is finally brought to task. As the deputy director of the police nobody knows how much money he's been banking, and has parked overseas.
Lock up the big joke.
