  1. If only Anutin would decide to leave the country, Thailand would be a much, much better place without him and his fake brand of leadership.
  2. Well unlike the Chinese government who I believe is completely insincere about fighting corruption, the Vietnamese government seems to take corruption very seriously, and that is something that could take another 50 to 100 years before it happens in Thailand. It will only happen when the youth wrestles control of the country from the foul, toxic, corrupt, regressive dinosaurs, who worship only the Golden Calf of money. May the youth eventually prevail here.
  3. A cremation with a celebrant involved who can perform a 5,000 baht ceremony. Do not under any circumstances get the monks or the temples involved, they overcharge to an exorbitant degree, and the ceremonies are very boring.
  4. Well with the exception of Donald Trump's juvenile election denial, typically election results are respected and it's very rare that a duly elected PM, or President has the election stolen from him, as was the case with Pita.
  5. No that is not usually the mindset of a bully, bullies typically pick on people that can't fight back, it would sure be fun to have seen him kick somebody who is very competent in the martial arts, and watch the video of the reaction when Fehr was knocked down and on the ground crying and pleaing for mercy.
  6. Thailand could learn a lot from Vietnam, they are about to execute a woman for a major fraud operation. In your wildest dreams could you imagine something like that happening in Thailand? Also Vietnam is growing their economy at quite an impressive pace, the Thais could learn a lot from the systems that they have in place, and a cleaner, more efficient, significantly less corrupt system. Though Thailand used to be the tiger of Southeast Asia, now it is closer to a sickly, whiny, anemic alley cat.
  7. It is all part of the public record, if somebody is interested in finding out a very simple search will reveal the monstrosity of his debt, that he's accumulated over the decades. Most of his money has been made by ill-gotten gains, and by stealing money from small contractors. It's quite easy for somebody to become wealthy if they're willing to bend every moral law known to mankind. https://www.publicopiniononline.com/story/opinion/columnists/2022/09/07/when-it-comes-to-business-former-president-trump-track-record-dismal/65474745007/
  8. If only this guy would show some reverence toward the Thai people, things would be a whole lot better in this country. Sretta's extreme lack of progress demonstrates a great lack of respect for the people.
  9. The American judicial system is very, very broken. Had he not had $5 million dollars to spend on a legal team back then he would have been found guilty. Any American can get away with virtually any crime if they have enough money to throw at a great legal team. It's just the way the system is built.
  10. Always say no to absolute nonsense an emphatic no. If necessary get out of my business, you have no place in my life, see you but I wouldn't want to be.
  11. At first they said that for sure his visa will be revoked, now they seem to be equivocating. I guess some money, and perhaps some lawyers have gotten involved, and the spineless creatures at the top have wavered, and are now demonstrating their moral bankruptcy.
  12. What are your experiencing is happening around the entire planet, the population keeps expanding, now we're up to 8 billion. The best thing that's happening to the world right now is countries like China and Japan just saying no to children. Children are not that special, they're not really needed, they are way over rated, and thankfully it's a choice these days and not compulsory. A lot of people are saying no I don't need the headaches, I don't need the nonsense, I don't need the expense, I don't need the responsibility. Nah, I choose to have a great life, I don't need kids. I did that and it was the wisest and smartest decision of this lifetime. I don't miss not having kids for a nanosecond.
  13. No proof required. All part of the public record. Only his most ardent devotees deny truth and reality.
  14. For all we know, they could have Thai partners in very high places. Not unlikely. Moral bankruptcy is the norm here, with most officials.
  15. First it was 7,000 tons. Now 300? Soon it will be downgraded to 4 kilos. Disinformation is a hobby for these creeps.
  16. Down with the Burmese Army parasites. A pox on the families of the generals, who sponsor genocide, rape, land theft, gem smuggling, drug manufacturing and distribution, and other crimes against humanity. Let us hope the resistance prevails and brings an ugly and very painful end to the oppressive rule, and lives of these sub humans. Certain acts in life are essentially a self revocation of the right to consume oxygen.
  17. They shut down the economy due to covid. But, burning cane is ok. Can't they see the effect it is having on the air? Do they care one iota? Don't the leaders live here too? Why are they MIA? Why don't the "do nothing guys" do something for a change? When the crop burning starts to kill the population, and lowers the quality of life for those of us who don't die, isn't it time to take action? We just don't need the sugar. Shut down this toxic, heinous industry. Lock up the farmers. Sieze their land. Do whatever it takes. The problem is not only the politicians, but also the people, a large part of the population, which does not care: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/4/12/how-chiang-mai-became-the-worlds-most-polluted-city Now Sretta is the latest version of a do nothing PM. He refuses to resist the will of his criminal friends, who run the sugar refineries. Absolute sewer trash.
  18. The Ark Bar has been an abomination as long as I have been here. Horrific music, over priced drinks and noise pollution that travels many miles south. I lived in a villa on the hills adjacent to it for years, and the noise was deafening. We tried having them sanctioned, fined, shut down, etc. Turned out they had a very well connected Mr. Big backing them up and they were above the law. Absolute cretins.
  19. You know what they say. In shallow men the fish of little thoughts cause much commotion. In oceanic minds the whales of inspiration make hardly a ruffle. Same applies to bragging.
  20. Exactly. Had I not invested in that 130,000 acre ranch back in 1974, things would have turned out differently. I wouldn't be considered as smart as I am.
  21. Especially when you know for a fact, that the same bottle of wine cost 1100 baht in the US.
  22. Good on you. While I know some guys who are living on very limited income, I am thrilled I don't have to do so. Not big on self imposed austerity. Nothing wrong with a budget. But, life is short, and counting one's expenditures can get very dull.
  23. Buying a dozen garlic rolls from the local Italian restaurant for 60 cents. Rode my bicycle 5 miles to get them. Such a simple delight. Buying a 25 lb. watermelon for a dollar, and sharing it with a friend. We ate the whole thing and could barely walk afterwards. The good old days!
  24. Playing outside as kids, without a fear in the world, and without any of these silly electronic devices to keep us amused. How healthy that was!
  25. My gal drove from the Chaiyaphum area to Bangkok today, and said the traffic was very light, so it is likely most are already at their destinations, or on the way.
