  1. A digital test  for  total hardness is only  good so long as the machiine  remains calibrated . Are you worried it is to high, or low. if is to high the only way is dilution but the catch is it must be done with water that is low in total hardness.

If it is to low the best way is to use a calcium based  chlorine  produt such as calcium hypochlorite.

As as been previously stated unless it is causing major problems or you are a comercial pool best leave well alone as you will be chasing your tail for ever.

A good  test to get is aquatest 7 this does  test for  calcium hardness they are made by Hach who are also well known for medical test strips, a first class product but not cheap about $ 30  Au.

Did you already have smart meter, or did company inform authority , then they put smart meter. Or still on spinning disc meter?

What are you getting for feed in. Think that the buy rate is about 5 baht per kWh yeah? I'm guessing they give 1 bht?

Also have you considered adding a couple cheap car batteries with a car bat charger hooked up at a power point. Just so you can hook up a small inverter to run a fan and lights incase of blackout. Obviously only charge bats while sun is out and using free power. So a timer as well

No smart meter they are not availale yet in Chiang Mai.

Not bothered with feed in yet

We have plenty of recarchable lights that come on automatic if the power goes down

A power supply for the router

Next purchase is a solar  fan with rechargabl batteries.

    So have most bases covered

  3. My neighbour has an extremly large nest of bees hanging from the eves of their house, we have asked on several occasions for the bees to be removed with no avail.

The moohban management have also asked for it to be removed.

The upshot is that if it is  not removed in 7 days the tessabahn will send their pest control around and destroy both the bees and nest with poison.

Does any one know of bee keeper that will come and collect the nest, it is in Sanameng.

    Many thanks
