  1. just google for MRI thailand..choose online booking and you can see all prices......they have 10 branches around thailand .. Unfortunately I see they raise their prices a lot. A few weeks ago it was 7200 THB per knee, elbow or shoulder, now the price is 9000 THB I used them two times, after the MRI Scan you get a CD with the pictures ,which you can bring to your Doc/hospital. Same day or latest the next day you get a medical report by email. Radiologist will contact you after three days in case you have some more questions.
  2. I have used it for the last two years, a nice shortcut...recently they are more strict and check if you have a sticker or not (bike and car).. I applied last December and can pick up my sticker at the end of february. You only need blue or green book and you passport, price 110 THB per vehicle. Not sure they will really open for everyone
  3. Hello, Recently I had an MRI of the whole abdomen. The report says "There is 1.2 cm lesion with high T2W at anterior right upper abdominal wall, indeterminate, probable benign," I had a short talk with the radiologist. He suggested a follow up with a Gastroenterologist for a gastroscopy with tissue biopsy to check whether it is benign or something more serious. Now I am looking for a Gastroenterologist Doctor/clinic to undergo this procedure in chiang mai, but I am not sure which hospital or doctor I should choose. I found some informations here in aseannow, but some information are outdated, Doctor not practice anymore or moved to other hospitals. Can anyone suggest a good doctor for the procedure here in chiang mai or have some experience? I also travel one time a month to BKK if there are better options available, but would prefer to do it here in CM. Thank you...
  4. i bought second hand, bike came only with one remote key, and also no emergency key ..i found a video on YT how to open seat without key, seems a bit tricky, but will give it a try, so i can check the battery..thx
  5. Hello, yesterday everything was fine, today I can not turn the switch anymore, it is locked (position 6 o´clock). Battey from the remote key I replaced a few months ago, anyway replaced it again today, lights are blinking, so the remote should be fine. First idea is that the battery from the motorcycle is dead, although I replaced it not even a year ago. I have mixed results after I did some research. Most suggest a new battery, but i read also even if the battery is almost dead i should be able to switch the ignition switch. Any honda owners here who had a similar problem? Thank you...
  6. since i use uBlock Origin with my firefox browser i don´t see ads anymore. for my phone (android) i use newpipe, it is basicly a youtube client just without the ads.. you can downlaod all video and audio files very easy plus the app is running in the background, so you can open other apps and still listen to audio or video...
  7. I do not understand the fuss about TM30...does every immigration office handle this in a different way? I can only speak for immigration BKK CW. My condo owner registered me one time in the year 2016 when I moved in. Since then I have made many trips. I stayed all around Thailand , all kinds of Hotels and AirBnB, all bookings in my name, and always showed my passport for registration. And I never had anything to do with TM30 again. I make my regular 90 day reports, my yearly visa extension, and not one time I have been asked about TM30 again...
  8. today went to CW Bangkok for non immigrant O extension. (retirement - 800,000 THB in bank account) made an online appointment for 1 pm. Document pre check at counter No 27. transfered to counter No 35 for online appointments IO called me in at 1.20 pm. Checked my documents. - Copy passport - main page-last visa-last entry stamp - Bank book copy detail page and updated page which shows the amount - bank statements from the last 12 month - Form TM7 - and again drawing a map of my home location What was new this time was the IO asked for the last 90 day receipt of notification. I was never asked in the last years about the receipt. So maybe it is a new requirement or I just was lucky in the past years. So make sure you bring the receipt with you , just in case of.. 1.40 pm IO send me out to wait, at 2 pm I got my passport back.
  9. we used this company a few years ago...maybe they offer what you looking for https://asiaone-thf.com/cremation-services/
  10. 90 day report due date 30th September. 15th of september i made an online report. Approved 28th of september. Almost two weeks for approval.
  11. no idea about quality, but may be you can visit their shop in Bkk first and check https://www.gymware.com/index.php
  12. I often send registered letters to HK, Singapore, Germany...and everytime i ask how long it will take, the answer is two weeks....I think this is a kind of auto reply....mostly the letters will arrive in a week or so..
  13. I had a similar problem for almost 6 month, it drove me nuts...my right ear was clothed and open, sometimes for a minute, sometimes for several hours, whatever I tried, nothing worked. I went to two ENT doctors in Germany, they looked inside my ear and said all is fine, there must be a problem with my eustachian tubes. Another doctor suggested a laser surgery, to cut my nasal concha. Then I went to Thailand, and visited another ENT Doctor. He looked in my ear and said "I see"....Then i had to lie down, he put some fluid in my ear. i had to wait maybe around 20 minutes, and then he came with a small vacuum cleaner. And after 5 minutes this problem was gone.. This is now 10 years ago , and I never had the problem again. I can only suggest to listen to Sheryl and all the other users.....visit a good ENT Doctor
  14. around 5 years I switched from Axa to Roojai for the same reasons. 1st class insurance. All works fine so far, premiums are stable. Easy handling, you can do everything online. But I never had an accident. So it is unknown to me how their service will be if I have to open a claim.
  15. Dear Sheryl, Thank you very much for your support. I am very grateful for this. After reading your opinion, and doing some research i will focus first on the treatment of the bronchitis and atelectasis, and i will consult another Doctor again
  16. Hello Sherly, Thank you for your reply. I was a smoker for over 30 years. In the past I often had bronchitis and coughing. Since I stopped smoking it has been better, but I still cough a little sometimes. Recently I made a blood test at a Lab, i also made a test for tumor markers AFP,CEA, PSA, CA19-9 and NSE. All results were ok, except the NSE. It was unusually high with 27,3 ng/mL. So the lab suggested I visit a Hospital for further check ups. As far as I understand, a high NSE result is an indicator for maybe small lung cell cancer. So at the Hospital I made a low Dose Chest CT, without contrast. Result was - mild bilateral apical thickening - plate atelectasis of both lower lungs. but no signs of cancer or tumor mass Doctor suggested to me to be 100% sure I should have a bronchoscopy.
  17. Hello, Has anyone done a bronchoscopy recently? I just want to know what costs I have to expect. I contacted a few hospitals, so far only samitivej and bangkok hospital answered. Prices range from 70.000 to 300.000 THB. Thank you
  18. you check out transport by truck? 2 or 3 years ago i bought a E Motorbike (around 50 KG) and a bit later an inflatable boat (around 30 KG) First i checked by sea freight, as i thought this will be the cheapest way, but with all this add ups it was very expensive, (if i remeber right , it was around 400 to 500 USD) plus the uncertainty about custom TAX and VAT. So I decided to send it by Truck to Bangkok. The supplier sends the order to the warehouse of the forwarder. The forwarder gives you a unique number which the supplier has to add on the outside of the package. Trucks are leaving everyday. Trip, for example, from Guangzhou warehouse to BKK takes around one week. They deliver to a warehouse outside BKK, where you have to pick it up by yourself. If you want delivery door to door, you have to pay extra. Both times I paid around 200 USD, that was a flat rate including transport, custom tax and VAT. Both times it worked very well and I was happy. Like I wrote, it was 2 or 3 years ago. No idea about prices now. just google for road freight china to thailand, and you will see a few forwarders. PM me if you want the contact details of the forwarder i used
  19. out of curiosity..maybe someone here knows something.. a very long time ago i had a friend in munich. Sometimes he would take me shopping with him. He worked in a restaurant and was responsible for buying food. There was a wholesale market which was only open to business customers. This market had everything: fresh fish, meat, vegetables, fruit and so on from all around the world. And always in good quality. Of course, you had to buy in large quantities. But it was always a great experience and you could try many things. My question is where do restaurants here in BKK that serves international dishes, such as Italian, Mexican and so on, buy their ingredients such as vegetables, fish, meat, salami, ham, oil, etc.? I don't think the restaurant owners go to Macro or Villa market to buy their ingredients, or do they? Thank you
  20. I bought my ford ranger 2015. I choose a pick up because I like to sit higher and I can put my bicycle and other things easily in the back when going for a trip outside BKK. At the beginning it was a bit difficult with parking, but after a while you get used to it. In all these 8 years I had one accident.... I hit a concrete pillar when I reverse parked, but this was because my exGF was constantly nagging in my ear. So nothing to do with the car. .. When I'm sitting in the passenger seat with friends' cars, like suzuki or mazda 3 i feel uncomfortable as i sit so low and i do not have a good overview of the traffic . But everyone has different preferences... And about status .. i think in BKK a Pick up is more lower status. I remember quotes from girls like...oh, you said you have a car, but this is a truck... or why you drive around in a farmer's car, ..and so on...

  22. ups, just see you asked for motorbike parking. I remember i saw a few bikes parking there also..
  23. a bit over a year ago i parked my car several times here, always between one and two weeks. https://goo.gl/maps/ie4AVPcrGZzwxoFs7 rate was 100 THB a day, not sure how much now, maybe price went up. Parking places are coverd. Owner drive you to the airport, it is a short 5 minutes drive, and pick you up also, you just have to call him after you arrived. Nothing to complain about.
