Based on having a Thai child normally has the same rules as for having a Thai wife.
But did you try the consulate in Antwerp?
Good advice.
The Antwerp consulate is, or at least used to be, very helpful.

It may be only a mobile unit with limited operating times? Khon Kaen still appears to be the serving office for Udon per
The office did'nt look mobile at all
Rather similar to the Khon Kaen office which my wife used before.

My reply in last yaer topic:
Believe Khon Kaen is closest passport office. Check this web site
Udon Thani has a passport office in a separate building on the City Hall compound, easy to be done and send home by EMS within one week.

It's "C" as I have, less than a month ago, experienced.

I can confirm, I was the one served while you were discussing with the Australian.
I agree about the limited ability of speaking English but ... I feel they always do their best to explain to any person who is willing to understand and knows a little about the regulations concerning the matter he's there for.

I beg to differ.
Six extensions @ Nong Khai Immigration never caused any hard feelings.
Right paperwork an right attitude did the job.

6 (year-long? 3 month long?) extensions on what kind of visa? Marriage, Retirement, Tourist?
...
6 one year extensions Marriage (1) and Retirement (5) :jap:

Once, and maybe twice, the Korat office gave me a new reporting date at the same time I was doing a renewal. That was without asking for it.
I think you have a better chance of them doing that for you at a smaller office.
It might add to the confusion but while extending my stay based on retirement, last yaer in Nongkhai and this year in Buengkan, I was given the TM47 form to fill and 90 days after my extending date was the new reporting date.

For what it's worth.
Last year we (my Thai wife) asked Immigration we had to "report" family guest's visiting for 10 days.
We didn't get an answer but a no nod.
Today we asked Immigration we have to "report" our brother in law staying with us for 3 months.
We had a clear yes, within 24 hours, although not with Immigration but the local police station.
Hello
I am quite confused now: reading the "Register a foreigner for businesses" I do understand that this is aimed at companies who are in that specific business of renting etc..
Now considering the two answers above it seems that anyone having a foreigner as a guest, let alone renting out on a private basis, is to declare it either to the immigration or to the Police station
Can anyone clarify his?

Reading here made me ask the question.

I am "A" negative and blood donor on regular bases @ Nong Khai Government Hospital Blood Bank, last donation was 05 august 2008.
Nong Khai Hospital has my contact for emergency cases, I’l suppose hospitals can work something out if doable/needed.
Good luck to your friend!

Correct,
Copies to be handed to Embassy for safekeeping in your file, plus instructions of what to do with your mortal remains.
Preferable wills from both partners, after all she might die before you.
Have given all details and contacts at embassy by PM to OP.

Stan,
I would be interested in this information too.
I'm living here with the intention to do something about this for over two years now but never came to it.
Cheers,

I'm a Belgian national, married to an Indonesian national (with no Belgian passport), we have 2 small children who both have Belgian and Indonesian nationality.
Haven't been in my home country for a long time and can't really check on the law, but accordng to my parents I do not need to write a will because if anything happened to me, all my possessions would automatically be transfered to my wife.
Anyone out there familiar with Belgian inheritance laws who could give me a word of advice on this and confirm if this is correct, even if my wife does not have Belgian nationality ? Appreciate.
I'm Belgian too.
I have sent you a link to Notaris.be by PM, hope you are Dutch speaking though.

Roel,
The Belgian and Dutch embassies may be able to provide you with a list of names. I seem to remember they provided me with one, when I needed it.
Attached the list I received earlier this year.
Good experiences with EXPRESS TRANSLATION SERVICE.
Hope it helps.

No vote as far as I'm concerned.
I'm from Belgium (Flemish), and I expect to be able to vote for this country OR, and more approperiate in my opinion, for Belgium as a member of the E.C. (25 countrys).
Seeing particulary the Dutch to be able to vote for Holland, and I beeing expected to vote "Western European - Other" made me make my first TV post.
The Dutch (some) will understand why.
