    Hi

What is the cost of non inverter unit...?

I think the cost difference between the 2 units is what

you want to compare.  The benefit of the inverter is that the unit doesn't shut on and off like a typical AC unit. The fan/compressor adjusts speed up and down depending on the cooling demand and therefore uses less energy when its not needed and doesn't suffer from abrupt starts and stops of the compressor each cooling cycle.

If the inverter unit only costs about B3000/100 usd more  vs. the non inverter I would think its an easy choice to spend the small amount to realize savings on your electric bill.....just my .02 worth

    Hi

If you can remove the tile carefully.....

You might look in Lazada or even Homepro for some underwater putty/epoxy.....mix (knead) together and apply.

Will harden under water and is waterproof....will also fill cracks if needed.

However....you may be experiencing much more than a simple crack....you pool maybe continously separating in which case this will be a temporary fix. There is an awesome pool company up my way....Bang Khae who might give you some information or good suggestions if you get to that point.

    good luck

here is a basic youtube video of the epoxy.....

  3. "Sorry, you forgot to add the prison tours!! You cant forget the prison tours!!!"

    Don't knock the prison tours.....

DIdn't you know the inmates can order either KFC or Pizza hut for delivery......at least at Khlong Prem they are/were able to

I saw the electronic LED sign in the waiting room while going to see a "thai friend".....

Now of course you need some $$ in your Canteen account....

I can't order any food from outside here in my spacious quarantine accommodation .....however they were kind enough to go buy me some dish soap and a sponge at 7.

    stay safe and healthy everyone....

    Ohhhh......Now you tell me!!!!   555555

I'm starting day 3 of Quarantine....Its 12:30 am and I just woke up from a 3 hour nap.

AS always it seems like a good idea when put forth by the "Thai powers that be".....until they actually think about it a bit more

and realize the "downside" has more potential than the "upside" Benefit.

I applaud their thinking....I think. I know they are desperate to jump start the economy (just like every other country in the world thats been affected by C-19)

Stay tuned as we can expect them to do one of several things going forward:  1) Nahhh we were kidding. 3) NO we didn't actually say anything of the kind and we will sue anyone who says otherwise. 3) Do nothing 4) Actually come up with a well thought out plan that doesn't appear to enrich a small portion of the elected gentry in the Thai Gov't.

Here was my dessert dinner tonight.....I hope they didn't break the bank with the portion size.  ????????   (1" x 1" in size)

    stay safe and healthy everyone

    Hi All,

I saw recently the Thai government has approved Golf (resort)  Quarantine for the mandatory 14 days.

I have written (email)  the Thai consulate in New York but so far have not received any reply.

Does anyone here in Thaivisa-land have any information or can point me in the right direction where I can find out locations/prices ?

I am grateful for any info that can be shared here.

    Thanks and stay healthy,

    mac

    Hi there,

I submitted paperwork for a K-1 visa to the proper lockbox in the states at the end of December 2016. I-130 was approved in approx 3 months then transferred to  different offices for further processing. Received final approval in mid May. Paperwork was then transferred to U.S. Embassy in Bangkok. Received several notices from Embassy but never was informed of our interview date.   I wrote them via email  inquiring about when it was going to be...They informed us that we were a no-show for a late July date  (we had never received any email...mail...phone call of the interview date.) It was rescheduled for a late August date at my request ( I am the petitioner) and they gave us the Aug 29th. Showed up with Fiance' at 6:30 am for a 7:00 am interview, first in the queue and after all paperwork was deemed complete my fiance' stood up at the interview window. An American gentleman (who spoke thai) and another Thai gentleman who watched asked him to raise his left hand asked a couple questions was then granted a K-1 visa to come to USA to marry me.  7 months I think is about right depending on how busy they are.  A couple things: After you are notified that Bangkok has the paperwork don't hesitate to contact them after several weeks to inquire as I think sometimes paperwork gets overlooked and your inquiry may help them "find it". I had been with my Thai partner for 18 years and was easily able to show them a real and ongoing relationship that dated back to 1998. We have a home outside of Bangkok and plenty of photos to support our claim of a relationship.  I would be prepared for your fiance to be able to answer any and all questions they might ask in the event they are not convinced with all your supporting materials you have provided.  They said we would receive our paperwork/passport with visa in 2 weeks from the interview date....in fact we received them within 48 hours via EMS to our home.  My best to you and good wishes for a successful petition for your visa.  Please dont hesitate if you have any questions.

  7. My two cents:

You may find that you can only receive money Into Thailand via Western Union.

That was the case several years ago when I tried to send to a friend outside the country however the policy may have changed

    since then.

You may have better luck as the OP mentioned and set up an online account and send via your CC/Debit card.

  8. Hello all

Here is the Thai spelling of Alum: สารส้ม It's called "Saan(rising tone) Sohm(falling tone)" and they do sell it in most hardware stores.

The price for me has been between 5-10 baht/kg just outside BKK

It comes in big white crystalline chunks that you can easily break up with a hammer into smaller or even into a powder to cast across your swimming pool surface or dissolve in water first and then add that to your pool.

Hope this helps....It's great stuff just remember to vacuum to waste not thru the filter.

  9. I have been asking around to no avail...can anyone point me in the right direction.

It will be used for my swimming pool and am curious what it is called in thai.

I keep getting blank looks when i ask for it by the english name..I know it has been popular with the shrimp farmers for controlling algae.

    Thanks,
