Do they have mini vans that go there? My plan was to take a minivan from Ekkamai in Bangkok to Aranyaprathet.
They will probably have you do the same thing again.
Go to a different crossing. Ban Laem south of there is better.
From Bangkok the Ban Phu Crossing in Kanchanaburi to is closer and better. Only 960 baht for the crossing and border pass. No full page visa sticker done.

I'm planning on going to Poipet this weekend to get my 90 day stamp for my Non-O based on marriage. Last time Thai immigration forced me to stay overnight in Cambodia. I hope I don't have any issues.
These rules seem to change on a weekly basis.

I should have went to Savannakhet. Lesson learned.Nothing new in that for Poi Pet. Many reports of that happening.
Not sure the stamping error is the reason for it.

Just an FYI, I'm stuck in Cambodia for 2 reasons.Hello.
Please help me urgently!!
Now I’m finding tour agent company for visa run to Combodia from Rayong.
I’m finding recently information.
Because Christies office has closed.
I'm on a Non O based on marriage. When I came back from Malaysia in December they airport immigration at Don Muang never stamped my passport although they stamped the TM 6.
Also they're saying you can't go to Poipet and return on the same day. So looks like I'm spending the night in Cambodia.

I thought 400k is a requirement just for ME. I can't remember exactly but when I brought all papers to the embassy in Singapore then they asked if SE or ME, and when I told ME they asked for that proof of 400k.
ME is definitely what I want. I'm hoping they'll accept an income letter.

I would guess they would accept a letter from your embassy proving 40k baht income. You could contact them confirm if it would be accepted
I sent them an email and asked about that. I also asked if I could provide proof of income in Singapore from my employer since that's where my employment is based. I work for a Fortune 100 company there if that matters. Probably not.
-
I went to their website and I saw you could apply online. I have an Employment Pass in Singapare so I was eligible. I was excited until I saw the last page where they want 400k THB bank statement. Didn't say anything about proving a monthly income. Looks like I'll be driving to Savannkhet. Bummer.

Getting ready to make my annual run there. Has anything changed? Are they still not asking for proof of income or funds in a Thai bank?

You can get a multiple entry non-o based upon marriage with no financial proof needed.
Thanks Joe! I'll report back when I return.

Savannakhet will not do one based upon being the parent of a Thai.
You get one in Penang if you have 400k baht in any bank or proof of income.
I was just going to look for this. As far as you know, Savannakhet is still not requiring bank statements or income letters? I'm planning on driving to Mukdahan and taking the bus over in a couple weeks.

Congratulations Bonobojt you are going to be a father.
Just send her over some money to help with medical expenses.
I think her dad is getting sick too.
The laws are not very strict on deadbeat fathers and you are about to be one.
The buffalo has an upcoming illness I'm sure. -
So here's my thinking based on the above posts.
My current Non-O expires in mid October. Go to the immigration office at the beginning of October and apply for the extension. While the extension is under review they will give me a stamp that will allow me to leave and re-enter Thailand multiple times until the extension is approved. After the extension is approved I can leave and re-enter as often as I want. This can all be done in Bangkok where I live.
Am I missing anything? -
I travel outside of Thailand quite frequently, about 7 times a year, and I have had an extension of stay based on Marriage for the last several years, all you do is get a Visa at an Embassy or Consulate outside of Thailand (either a single or multiply entry) then up to 30 days before the Visa expires, go to immigration and get an extension of stay based on Marriage and at the same time you would go get a multi re-entry permit 3,900 Baht, to keep your extension of stay based on marriage valid.
A couple questions regarding this.
How long does it take, because I travel almost every week?
Can I apply for this in Bangkok? -
Awesome post. Thanks for the information. I will be going back in October to get another Non O based on marriage.
-
I bet you're right. He was referring to extension of stay which I can't get because I travel constantly. Well I'll just keep going to Laos every year.
-
That's what I thought but this barstool expert was telling Mr that if I ever wanted to get permanent residence that I would have to renew the SAME visa for 3 years and not get new a new visa everytime because that resets the clock. This got me thinking "how do you renew the same visa?" I didn't think that was possible and it appears it's not.
-
It's not really possible for me to get an extension of stay because I travel almost every week. I guess I'm more concerned about renewing my existing Non-O. Is this possible, or do I need to go get a new one outside the country around the time this one expires.
-
I currently hold a one year multi entry Non Immigrant O visa based on marriage. I'm hearing conflicting information on what to do prior to it's expiration.
Can I renew the same visa for another year? I was told if I ever wanted to apply for permanent residence, that I would need to keep renewing the SAME visa for 3 years
If it's possible to renew the same visa, can I do this within Thailand at the Chaeng Watthana office?
Or do I have to leave Thailand and get an entirely new 1 year multi entry via from a Thai consulate in another country?

Someone has too much time on their hands.

One other quick question. I travel every other week for work which means I'll never be at the last 45 days of my most recent 90 day stamp. Can I use the first stamp when I entered after receiving the non o from Laos?

I was issued a 1 year multiple entry at Savannakhet in late October. I'm ready to apply for an extension of stay. I've been reading that a TM7 is required as well as the following: (Copied from another post here)
QuoteCopy of data page of your Passport
Copy of Thai Visa page in Passport
Copy of Arrival and Departure card
Letter from your Embassy confirming your monthly and annual income (if applying for marriage Visa extension based on having income of 40,000baht minimum per month)
Copy of Marriage Certificate
Copy of Kor Ror 2 document from Ampur confirming details on Marriage certificate are true
Copy of House book
Copy of Wife's Thai ID card
Photos of Self, Wife inside home, and outside home showing house number (I took many photos in all rooms of house, and outside and let Officer select what he wanted! Too much is always better..!)
3 Photos of applicant, 6x4cm size, Passport style
Map showing location of family home. (I used Google Map satellite view, superimposing photo of our home, arrowed to aerial view of our house and land on Google map. Officer liked this!)
I have a few questions:
1. I'm going to apply based on income, not money in the bank. Is an income letter from the U.S. embassy enough? I work for a company out of Singapore and they will generate a letter for me as well. I'm well over the 40k a month.
2. It's been more than 60 days since my Non-O was issued. Can I apply now? I've left and returned to Thailand multiple times since then if that matters.
3. My wife and I live in Bangkok and rent an apartment. The lease is in her name. I know that I need a copy of her blue book and ID card which are both out of Si Saket.
4. My marriage certificate as well as the documents from MFA are over 10 years old. Do I need anything new from the Amphur or MFA? I notice the post above mentions a Kor Ror 2. Not sure what that is.
5. Where do I go to apply? The immigration office on Chaeng Watthana? Do I need to make an appointment or just show up?

I have a friends that is visiting from the U.S. with a U.S. passport. She is staying in Ratchaburi. Her current 30 day stamp expires on 11-1-2017. She would like to stay until 27-1-2017. I told her it might be possible for her to do a border run to Kanchanaburi/Ban Phu Nam Ron, but I'm reading here they will not give out 14 day stamps there. Can someone advise if this is true? Also, if this is true, what are her options? Go all the way to Poipet?
