While I agree wholeheartedly that anyone who uses a hospital should pay their bill, I think a major point is being overlooked. Tourism generates billions of dollars for the economy. Tourism is also by all accounts other than TAT in sharp decline. That number may well reduce further if every tourist has to pay out for an insurance policy, which may or may not cover problems they encounter. Maybe they should weigh the 448 million baht against the potential tens of billions they might lose.

There is so much wrong with your logic.

So you are saying: Thailand makes a lot of money from tourism therefor they shouldn't complain when people don't pay their hospital bills. If you let them pay their bills they might not come to Thailand anymore.

I honestly expected more common sense from a moderator. Unbelievable.

Last week KTM won the Dakar rally, 10 days and 5000 Km's this year a lot of sand dunes ...........for the 17th time on the trot, I would say the quality would be as good as the parent Austrian company.

I would say the RE's, with to-days technology, they would be as good as any other modern bike, I would have one, a good bike for Thailand, with the bad roads etc, have had a look at one, Lopburi has a dealership.

    KTM had 18 straight wins

^ Coming down Sathorn when you turn left into Charoen Krung, keep on going till you come to the fire station on your left. These guys are right opposite the fire station on the main road (number 206/1-3 Charoen Krung Rd).

You can call Khun Bay, one of the owners, on 081 696 0707. He speaks good English.

is this one still around? anyone knows another good wrapping place in BKK?

  5. These people just don't understand the word "no" they refuse to recognise any authority but their own, they are a group of very dangerous people, I would put a wager on it that there will be a terrorist event in Bangkok in the coming weeks maybe days that will target the NBTC or one of its members, that is the only way they know, if they don't get their way - murder someone

The organisation should be proscribed and banned and the leaders put in jail, how many times is Jutaporm going to be let out on bail, I can see how the PM wants to try and keep things calm but I think he is overestimating the support these criminals now have since the children were murdered in Trat and they all rejoiced on stage, arrest them check their assets and find out and expose where all their money came from

"...how many times is Jutaporm going to be let out on bail,"

Gee, I don't know, but I doubt if it has been as many times as Sohdhi Limthongkul on bail for appeal AFTER his multiple convictions.coffee1.gif

    Meaning?
  6. Why is democracy ALWAYS assumed to be the BEST form of government....?

Germany 1933 - a democracy that allowed Hitler to come to power. Millions died.

USA 2003 - a democracy that allowed George W. Bush to start a war over false claims. Hundreds of thousands died.

Simply because the US has decided that Democracy is the best system for the world and they are willing to show countries the error of their ways if they do not agree.

We have seen the success of this in places like Vietnam.....Err, no lets not use that as an example.

How about more recently in Iraq and Libya where...... No those are not good examples either.

Well Afghanistan then, OK as long as they keep troops there it should hold.

And they always come out strongly against any coup...... well except when it is in their interests such as in Egypt lately.

The US has no problem with Saudi Arabia's system...

  7. My Wave has a sticker on the swingarm with the recommended pressures. Pretty sure they say 29 up front and then the back has different pressures depending on whether or not you have a pillion. I usually do 30 up front and 40 in the back because I'm a fatty.

Wow, what a great idea. I don't think any of my bikes have such a sticker. Anyone knows where I can purchase such stickers?

My car has such sticker. In fact, I think most cars have them. Just go to Toyota and ask. They might have spares that you can use for your bike.

That would be something heh. Imposing travel bans and freeze assets and at the same time do this:

The U.S. is showing up in force to honor the passing of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama changed their travel plans in India to attend the funeral and brought with them a delegation of 29 high-profile current and former U.S. officials and members of Congress.

Saudi Arabia has terrible human rights records and no democracy but the US love them.

"There are no jury trials in Saudi Arabia and courts observe few formalities" All no problem for Obama.
