  1. Wow, people, I'm impressed! Why so much racial hate?

Obviously, writing, blogging, and YouTube is not my main income generator and I do have a "real" job (working legally here in Bangkok).

And yes, I did post here for views and feedback. I guess I got both. Thanks a lot.

No racial hate from me dude, in fact I actually stuck up for you! Unless you paid for those subs on YT you will get there in the end! Don't be discouraged you have to keep working on it!

  2. What is your nationality? It is getting very difficult to live here if you can't get the appropriate visa. Malaysia seems to be a very good option. I've heard some praise for Cambodia also, at least with regards to a visa.

One problem with this is rules and laws change on a regular basis. Panama use to be a great spot, but things have changed. Same with Argentina. Ecuador pops up now as does Colombia.

    What changed about Argentina?

  3. Yeah ok looks like that 3rd one is gone, I am not paying half a million baht for a tooth. I am assuming those 2 will be crowns. Damn this sucks, it would not be so bad if I did not have a bottom lip full of shards, that needs sorting out first because I don't want that getting infected. Thanks guys

500,000 for a tooth better have diamonds encrusted in it.

I paid 65,000 baht for a front tooth as an implant in Thailand, in the west I would be looking at double that!

  4. So I have 3 top row front teeth smashed, 2 in halve and 1 basically gone. Also in my lower lip there are a few fragments embedded within my lip, can anybody give a rough guess at how much this will coat to rectify?

Have you been in the wars?!

About 140,000 baht for three implants. About half that for bridges and a lone implant.

  5. Not having a dig but would you have explained the writer was "very educated" if he was white, Japanese or Chinese? Were you concerned that because somebody who was black had written an article it wouldn't be taken seriously unless it could be established he was "very educated"?

See the post I was directly replying to which was talking about a minority person that was educated and how that supposedly shielded against experiencing racism. The article explains that is not really true, but that the manifestations are different in different cultures.

Ukrainians haven't been neutered from what race is like many Europeans. Neither have the Thais. Thankfully people are waking up to the whole nature of race across the human species and not before time too. :)

    Cheers.

  6. What are the official hours and days a month a Policeman is to work

Somebody told me they supposed to work everyday 12 hours a day

It's morning til evening. The night shift just sleep in the police station behind the counter! At least that's how it was in a nearby province to Bangkok...

We had to wake the lazy bstards up to report something. There was one ranking officer upstairs who was at a desk, he seemed awake at least.

  7. The best film I've seen was The Promise, directed by the Brit Peter Kosminsky.

Sounds like false propaganda. The Arabs started the terrorist attacks in the first place and both sides attacked the British who stabbed the Arabs AND the Jews in the back and routinely lied to both. Your "documentary" is completely one sided at best. rolleyes.gif

Utter BS, the British were in cahoots with the Jews. Just check what Orde Wingate was up to in the 1930s in Palestine! They would have shown the Einzsatgruppen a thing or two I tell you.

What about the 'Natasha' (White) slave trade that is rampant in Israel too!

I despise the Arabs for the moves they play on Jew and Gentile but let's not kiss and Hebrew backsides shall we.

  8. I actually am glad I already went through my life's earnings during the first six months of retirement. That was by choice. I just gave away everything I owned to my (older than I) wife. I considered I was buying "peace of mind". Actually, I never got over it. Now, 18 years later, I have finally reached the standard of living I wanted. All but one child grown up. Things look bright. I am a bit smarter, but have no wad of cash that I worry about. This year, I have a goal of saving $9000. In 3 years, I will have a little security for emergencies, and my social security will kick in. Looks like I will never invest in anything...ever. I used to play the stocks and had monthly purchases of Apple...while the stock was going up...but I was only buying partial shares, and the fees canceled out earnings. I broke even. It would have been tempting to borrow 10,000 and put it in...but I never did that. I don't miss the stress.

    .

Notwithstanding the stress I think I would have from being without cash funds, I applaud your resolve and attitude.

    Congratulations to you!

Sounds like Financial Roulette on a savings scale! The chamber has 5 bullets with a 6th empty. You clicked the 6th chamber. For others it tends to be chamber 1 - 5. ;)

  9. True story and this definately happened to me in Thailand. Myself and 5 other farang investors were robbed of our collective investment. This amount was around 15 million baht. Our farang investment banker was murdered by his Thai gay lover. His death sentence came delivered via cockroach poison deposited in a can of ice cold Coca Cola. The Thai police ruled it a suicide immediately of course. As a group, we hired lawyers and a private investigator. They found evidence of murder, followed the missing money. The farang bankers Thai gaylover was now in complete control of all monies, funds, assets and computer records. The Thai police were informed... alas, nothing could be done. The gay lover was related, by blood, to the highest of high connections. Sit down and shut up. Case closed. Go away farangs. Forever.

Edited to say, that up to a year prior to the bankers murder, I was receiving regular deposits in my Thai bank account of 170,000 baht per month based on my initial investment. All told, after roi, I lost approximately 400,000 baht cash on the investment. I'll survive. Others weren't as lucky.

How long were you able to ride the dragon before it threw you off? 170,000 for 400,000 is insane! That's like an ROI 40%+

  10. My earliest memories of flying as a young kid was being allowed to go and visit the cockpit..

I think this reaction is a bit over the top - I wouldn't say it was a serious security breach because they were invited in by the captain...

but as far as professionalism and safety is concerned, that is a totally different matter and of course this behaviour is out of order!

It's no big deal, it doesn't surprise me that the Asian airlines are a bit more loose with the regulations that mostly came from 9/11 anyways.

  11. You didn't buy hard boiled eggs, you bought "kai khem". salty eggs. If you buy the ones that are pink, the're

100 year old eggs and will be black inside. Both are delicious if eaten with the proper foods.

If you don't have a rice cooker like I suggested, fill a pot/kettle with water, bring it to a boil, gently put the egs in ain the pot, bring it back to a boil and turn down the heat. Boil them for 10 ,=minutw-es, take them out and cool them under running water. Perfect hard boiled eggs. If you want soft boiled reduce the time to 5 minutes.I

I don't believe I'm telling a grown man how to boil eggs on New Years Eve. But I forgot some were born with silver spoons in their mouths. Next will come the "butt washer" lesson. Just kidding.

Have a Happt New year, try cooking your own eggs and rejoice over your newly developed skill!

I can boil eggs, but here in my eastern base things are a bit more minimalist shall we say. Still, your little guide is handy thank you and a good year to you.

  12. Just wondering if anyone knew of IT places that compare to Panthip Plaza in Bangkok?

As much as I find the place a useful resource it doesn't have what I want. They brand items which are all the same now and apart from some high-end laptops the premium equipment is mostly mid-range now and just duplicated.
