One can’t help but think these hundreds of police officers would be better put to use taking dangerous and illegal vehicles off the road - saving many of the thousands of lives lost each year.

I had no idea that Puma was doing joint marketing with Disney, or did I miss the point of this story ? ????

What hope does the country have if (and I stress “if”) the dean of political science at a university is embroiled in this type of behaviour.

Putin, Xi and Prayut are all unelected dictators so clearly show a similar mindset.
i cannot believe that Putin would attend in person, but you never know as apparently he is going to attend the G20 in Bali.
there is clearly a massive target on him from so many people - so will be interesting to see if he makes it out alive.

Which "made up scooter rules" are those?
If you go to Phuket you will find out. No matter what documents you have on you, they will often ask for something else that carries an on the spot fine.

Maybe they should stop fleecing tourists with made up rules about riding scooters and then more quality tourists would come !

I wonder what the “tourist infrastructure” will be that all this money will be spent on.
a low cost public bus service in phuket and Samui ?
No, I didn’t think so !

If reports are true, plenty of people have had weed “planted” on them during roadside checks, then had huge fines placed upon them. What about this scenario ?

Having avoided COVID since the pandemic started, we just had a three week trip to Phuket and whilst there - saw thousands of Arabs, Indians and other tourists - none of which were wearing masks. The result - I now have Covid. Maybe some testing for tourists isn’t such a bad idea !

We are in Phuket - a few locals are wearing them but I have hardly seen any tourists wearing them.
99% of tourists are Arab and Indian at the moment - not seen a single Arab wearing one and only a couple of Indians.
all good fun !

Conspiracy theory nonsense! As for HK, as I lived there for 13 years and through the protests, they were nothing to do with the US or the UK, in fact the very opposite!
the people of HK don’t want to be oppressed by Beijing, which is what is happening now. They were appealing to the US and UK to intervene and help them - help that never came.
Conspiracy theorists are just clueless.

In the same way that Vietnam never happened, I cannot see thailand making this happen: too much corruption sadly.

Did he know before the crash it was defective?
It probably was working perfectly - airbags only deploy on a serious smash, the damage to the front of the car is minimal therefore it’s unlikely it was severe enough to deploy. He clearly wasn’t wearing his seatbelt which caused the injury.
lots of armchair “experts” on here with little knowledge ????

It’s a Taycan which is fully electric !

Yes you can use it, but you cannot download it to your phone via wifi, only via SIM card data (why that is, who knows!)
as others have said, make sure you top up your SIM card so you keep it valid for the OTP

I would agree with the other suggestion to put it up for sale for the value of the fees and remove your ties to the property.
You may find someone quite easily who would take it on. Depending on where it is, I could be interested so please feel free to let us know the details. Many thanks

Find this hard to believe, most of the flights with various airlines over the last two years i've been on are at about 40-50% occupancy.
Maybe they're gonna consolidate flights and use a full bigger plane?
We flew into HKT sandbox a month ago on Emirates and the plane was packed - not a single spare seat.

I guess most of the posters on this site just sit at home in isaan and moan on the internet, as clearly none if you have been to phuket or Bangla in the last few days. Bangla is very busy again, as is the surrounding area. No 6 restaurant is full every time I pass it for example.
personally I much prefer it quieter but there you go!

As well as the bank replacing lost funds, I hope they tighten up their procedures as this should never have been allowed to happen in the first place - but also must never be allowed to happen again. I wonder if there are any other rogue employees or this or other banks doing the same? I would hope the regulator steps in to investigate. Or am I dreaming?

I tried one of the electronic dog bark suppressor but it didn’t really work.
you could try feeding them and see if that quietens them down - I used to use cheap sausages and found a neighbours dog was just barking because it was hungry
if that fails there is the “special” sausages option but I wouldn’t recommend it as you can get in all sorts of legal trouble.

Hong Kong charges HK$ per item that needs to go in the boot. Size is likely in inches as that’s how airlines rate suitcases sizes.

My goodness, imagine if the police in UK, France, Germany or other western countries listed crimes committed by foreigners !
