  1. When we sold our home some 3 years ago, the purchaser arranged for a building inspection. The inspectors were, in my opinion, very professional. As a result, I obtained their mobile number for future use if required. Their number is 080 843 4998. Good luck
  2. Today I received a flyer from Bumrungrad on their new Water Vapour Therapy for BPH. Could be interesting for some Water Vapor Therapy: A simple, fast and safe new form of treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) (bumrungrad.com)
  3. Last week, on behalf of my partner, I registered our property, no problems. I then submitted my details, no problems. My brother has now come to stay for a couple of weeks, or so, and therefore required to submit his details. Problems. Over the weekend I received an update from Microsoft, now I cannot get past the Captcha. Anyone else have this problem?
  4. Today I was told it was going to be a wholesale food outlet, similar to Mackro, operated by Central
  5. There is a place just like you describe on the Super Highway, heading out of town, a door or 2 past the under-construction US Embassy (in CNX)
  6. I recently did a transfer back to Oz. Sombat at BKK Bank Chotana did all the paperwork (in Thai), in and out without any hassles. You will need your Passport, your Bkk Bank bankbook and the full details of the receiver (ie Bank, branch, Swiftcode, account number, account name)
  7. Hi Troppo, Will OZ pay for this screening if done here in Thailand? Tks mate
  8. I had a biopsy a couple of years back, painless. However, 24 hrs later I came down with a very high temperature and spent the next 5 days in hospital. A Biopsy can miss a cancer spot. I switched to only having MRIs, but on the latest machine, a Tesla 3.0 with contrast. Very accurate and very clear. Last year I had Brachytherapy treatment, I'm in good health and my latest PSA checkup was 0.016.
  9. One of the top Hospitals in BKK recently sent out a flyer advising that they have a clinic to treat toenail fungus. It may be of interest to you. PM me if you want to know their name.
  10. For 15 plus years now I have transferred monthly my "living Expenses" (in AUD) to which there has never been a problem - that is until I tried on the 1st June. I called them twice over the weekend and got shunted from one extension to another. So I submitted a formal complaint. Received their automatic acknowledgement today in which they stated "they intend to fix all problems in 5 working days". We shall wait and see
  11. AhFarangJa - Google "garden green houses 'thailand'" they will give you all the ideas you need good luck
  12. We have a 6x3m insect proof greenhouse (like rwill outlined above), plus its covered with shade cloth. We grow a variety of herbs and vegies (incl Toms) without the use of chemicals, for our own consumption ????
  13. You can grow a wide range of fruit and vegies here in CNX, but you must consider the Fruit Fly, they can destroy a crop of tomatoes, mangoes and the like almost overnight. Also, things like pumpkins, melons and the like are best grown with their fruit suspended of the ground. I think a good investment for the home gardener is an insect proof shade house - and there's no need for chemical sprays. In addition to what drtreelove above has said there are many shops in CNX (i.e., Rimping, HomePro, Big C etc) that also usually have a range of seedlings and seeds for sale. In our little plot we have around 20 different fruit trees growing and about the same in herbs and vegies. Good luck and enjoy
  14. Hi Jimmy - I feel really great, hard to believe I've had such treatment. Very rarely do I get up at night to pee, but during the day I occasionally get the urge to pee NOW. Sex is out of the question, at the moment, but the DR said he strongly believes things will return to normal in about 12 months - he's been spot on with his advice so far. That's about it
  15. Hi Simon, I was treated for prostate cancer at Bumrungrad earlier this year - my PSA at commencement 11.66 and rising. I chose to have radiation, 25 low doses and 2 high doses (low doses are done as an outpatient and high doses are done as an inpatient - one or two nights per treatment) My 2nd post treatment checkup last month revealed my PSA now is 0.016. That' correct 0.016. I found the Drs, staff, the Hospital, everything 1st class - highly recommended Best of luck
  16. For clarity have the scan done via a Telsa 3.0 machine. At Bangkok Hosp BKK it will cost around B25k
  17. Boonthavorn has an extensive range, perhaps the biggest in CNX
  18. Urief 4mg, 1 tablet, twice a day, after breky and dinner. Avail OTC
  19. I applied for my certificate today. The sign following was on the IO desk on the 1st floor's landing
  20. Early next week I'm having some treatment, in BKK, that may require me to use a catheter during my return flight to CNX. Is anyone aware of any restrictions / special requirements that one must do prior to such a flight? Tks
  21. KhaoYai, you're spot on. The MRI I had in Jan this year showed an increase in cancer. I researched for recommendations for an experienced Dr and that's how I'm in BKK, down from CNX. This Dr examined this lasest MRI report and recommended I have a PSMA-PET scan, which I have had (cost 76k Bht). Now I'm being treated by this Dr
  22. About six years or so ago, as a result of àn a/checkup which showed a slight rise in my PSA Levels, my GP here in Thailand recommended I see a urologist. The urologist recommended I have a biopsy, wnich I did. 24 hours later I suddenly came down with a temp around 40, spent the next 5 days in hospital. As a result I never wanted another prostate biopsy ever again. My research showed me that many advaned countries favour MRI of the Prostate over biopsy, and this is the action I've been taking, yearly. I understand that the best MRI image is from a Telsla 3.0. As Sheryl indicated there is only a small number of these machines in Thailand. A Multi-paramatic MRI with contrast costs about 25-30k Tbh. Unfortunately, my cancer continued to grow, and right now I'm in BKK being treated for PC. Fortunately though, the cancer is still contained within the prostate capsule
  23. I live in CNX. I’m registered and use my PC to do my 90 Day Reporting. On the 18th of this month I’m scheduled to go down to BKK (for daily outpatient medical treatment) and due to return to CNX on the 25th May. My 90 Day Report is due on the 15th May, right in the middle of my visit to BKK. I can’t take my PC with me to BKK, but I do have an Android Tablet that I’ll be taking. So, I’m seeking help on * Do I need to re-register using my Android Tablet? * As I’m already registered on my PC will duplicate registering via Android cause me a problem? * What address should I report, my temporary one in BKK or my permanent one in CNX? Advice welcome
