  1. It's on the main road through Cha am, the one that runs from Phetkasem Rd to the beach, about half way.

Is that the road that hits Phetkasem at the traffic light?

    Yes, that's the one.

That is great news! Hope they have some left when I get down there next week.....

  2. Three little ducks go into a Bar.....

"Say, what's your name?" the bartender asked the first duck.

    "Huey," was the reply.

    "How's your day been, Huey?"

"Great. Lovely day. Had a ball. Been in and out of puddles all day. What else could a duck want?" said Huey.

"Oh. That's nice," said the bartender. He turned to the second duck, "Hi, and what's your name?"

"Dewey," came the answer from duck number two.

"So how's your day been, Dewey! ?" he asked.

"Great. Lovely day. I've had a ball too. Been in and out of puddles all day myself. What else could a duck want?"

The bartender turned to the third duck and said, "So, you must be Louie?"

"No," she said, batting her eyelashes.

    "My name is Puddles."

  3. Please correct me if I am wrong (as if you wouldn't),

I think Makasan is very close to Ratchathewi or Prom Pong BTS stations. You still have to schlep all your bags down to street level, and then to the BTS and up to it's platform.

It is a real shame is does not link, even an elevated walkway from Makasan to the nearest BTS would make sense.

Well - you got that one quite wrong. Makasan is close to the MRT Petchaburi Station. I think the only point at which the Airport Link meets the BTS is right at the end = Phaya Thai Station.

  4. Contact Bei Otto then. They had a branch there which was taken over by ......

    Yours truly,

    Kan Win :)

That's the same place - it used to be 'Bei Otto# - then he got divorced and his (ex)wife ran it - then she sold it to this Austrian guy - and then it went down the hill.

  5. Sorry for your loss - that's tough.

Unfortunately - yes, it is contagious from cat to cat - not sure about dogs. We have two cats - one also got leukemia and the doctor suggested to keep the two apart as far as possible. No idea how that's supposed to work (they are both in-door cats). You should however try to keep their food/water bowls separately - apparently that is where the disease is transmitted in most of the cases. The really bad news is that it's not cureable - both of them get daily antibiotics just to surpress the symptoms.

  6. Hi,

I've heard that there are some excellent restaurants (especially seafood) on a pier that extends out over the ocean in Hua Hin. Does anyone know the name of the pier (to tell a taxi driver), or have any suggestions for specific restaurants? Thanks!

We like the SANG THAI Restaurant - it's the last one in the row coming from the HILTON - plenty of parking to the left of the restaurant. Very popular with the locals.
