As I understood it, the requirements are:-
-Never go below 400K. (throughout the entire year)
-800k+ required and maintained for 2 months before application.
-800k+ be maintained for 3 months after successful application.
I have complied with this, am I missing somehing else?
...thanks.

Great, so I will proceed with just all the docs etc I listed, which will be exactly the same as last year then.... Thanks again.

Hi, Im 60 years old now. I will be getting new extension later this month ( 24th June) from Jomtien Immigration. I am a condo owner and this will be my forth extension.
I have had 800k+ in my Kasikorn savings account for 2 +months prior to applying. I live in Pattaya and I am NOT planning a trip to UK atm. I dont use an agent either.
Is everything the same as last year? ie I need to :- fill in form, bring passport, photos, condo ownership papers, various photocopys, ( done by shop just outside immigration as before), updated bank book & 100 baht letter from bank as before.
Are there any issues regarding compulsory vacinations ?( I have none). Or insurance requirements ? ( I have none) Or other?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, ok I will stay put for now Too many hoops. I dont want to get stuck in UK . Which is why I asked the question. ... Answered politely by most.
ps It took me 8 months to get my refund from BA. So Im very wary of booking anything atm. And PP? never again.

So Tim 16,Do I require all 7 items on your list? Inc 3 million in Thai bank account? Or just one of them ? In my case I own a condo ( 6 million). Ubon Joe, according to that list from Embassy, I would still need 100,000usd Insurance. ?

Hi, so is having a half thai son in Thailand,or still being married to a Thai ( She lives in England) my best re-entry card?
Do I need to do anything or just present papers at passport control in savarnabhumi ? I carry papers for both btw. Yes I know hoops move daily, just getting a feel of what I can expect...thankyou

Hi guys, first a few details. I live/stay in Pattaya most of the year. I have a Non- Imm type O visa ( retirement) obtained in Thailand 3 years ago. I get yearly extensions no problem , latest one June 2020. I also purchased a Single Re-entry Stamp. I am over 50 , a condo owner and have 800K in bank. I would like to visit UK (Im from UK) around April 2021 for maybe 4 weeks as not been back for 18mths already. I would like to know can I re-enter Thailand based on this, if not what are my other options? I dont want to apply for OA if can be avoided. And I dont want to pay for insurance if can be avoided to.
I am still legally married to a Thai since 2011, in England. I have copy of marriage certificate to, but we are not together ( or even speaking). Does help me be allowed back into Thailand ? I fly Heathrow to Savarnabhumi direct btw.
I also have a half Thai son age 8 born in UK but lives in Thailand with me, does this allow me back into Thailand? He stays in my condo with my GF when I travel to UK, he has done nearly 4 years now, and goes to school in Pattaya. With all these covid changes I just want to be sure I can get back easy....Thankyou in advance.

I had my flight + return flight booked and paid for in March 2020). British Airways then cancelled both flights for my flights in April. I have lost over 25000 bt. No voucher no refund. I paid using Paypal ( Big mistake) . British airways equally useless and are keeping my money ( 6 months now). BA cancelled the flights ( not me), then told PP flights are not cancelled. PP just take their word for it without any checking and close the case in sellers favour. Yes Ive tried everything .... I will never fly BA again or use PP ..for anything.
Sounds like Thai Airways are just as bad.

OK thanks I will take a look.
Is this insurance compulsory or not? If only 300 baht ( I think thats what I paid 2014) no problem. But Id still like to know what it covers me against.
2000 baht for nothing and no explanation ,and I will walk away for sure.
Yes Green book is in my name . Red number plate will be 300 baht extra .

Hi, as people are disgusing additional charges when buying / selling, heres one more that I dont fully understand, and effects price in my case by 2000 baht extra.
- Mityon whose English was not too good, told me I have to pay 2000 baht extra for 1 years ' government insurance'. I couldnt even get them to tell me if this was a compulsory addition or 'up to me'?
- If they had told me it is ' Third Party Insurance ' I would understand, but no they say is to insure me. ???
A full (in English) explanation of this from anyone would be good... thanks

Thanks for the input guys. Couple of notes.....
- PX Is the abreviation of ' Part Exchange' ( Trade in allowance). Maybe its a very English term only, I dont know.
- Yes its a 125 cc Model.
-My question of how much more a private sale would yield.( ie 2k ? ).Was based on typical prices achieved PX'ing a Click against a new 86,000 Motorcycle.
-My PX offer . before any haggling 13 k baht BTW. I could get 15k on the spot from Mityon (I believe) if I had asked.
-I want 17k PX Min BTW .. Not one baht less . Im not in any hurry. I only want to PX as I need my old bike every day until new bike delivered
- Regarding servicing , running it with either insufficient/no coolant or oil, are going to be 2 of the things most likely to trash the engine. But there are others.

Hi guys, looking for opinions/prices/ experiences of this ( or similar).
First heres some details :- I bought a brand new Click from Mityon Pattaya 6 and a half years ago. ( 45,500 baht cash at the time.. March 2014 ). It is one owner (me). Always serviced/ mot'd /taxed etc. No prangs no blow ups etc . Green book present. New tyres and brakes all round recently. 13,000 km. Almost immaculate and clean ..
Looking for opinions of Click PX value against a Brand new 2020 model Yamaha N max ( Latest no key version). Price is about 87,000 baht btw.
Mityon gave me a PX price, but frankly I think is very low. I took bike to them to view with the green book. Yes I know they try it on, and I could maybe haggle a better PX value.
I would like to know others opinions/experiences etc of similar scenarios. I am a cash buyer BTW. I know selling privately yields a little more, but how much more 2 k baht maybe? I cant be bothered with the hassle just for that.
....Maybe others know another Pattaya reputable dealer that tend to offer more ?....thanks

Hi, both PP ( for negligence) and BA( for lying to PP in writing) are joint culprits. I've viewed the comments to PP made by BA agent? ('wabash.com') . They told PP in message 'flights are not cancelled'. PP didn't bother to check just took their word for it . Case closed in sellers favour!
The BA agent ( Quite helpful on phone) in BKK says they cannot do anything as is a 'status 2' now, ( chargeback through PP been initiated by customer ie me). Yes it was initiated by me originally.
PP do re-open the case if I talk to them on phone. I've even sent them documents as proof . But then gets closed again in sellers favour in under 24 hours... 3 times now.
Nothing I can do, except wait until i go UK next year and open small claims but thats going to be problematic, time consuming, and I still have to get BA to pay up after winning.

Further update, I telephoned BA in Bangkok. T 020247499. Nice lady, answered promptly. Gave my Booking Ref. She confirmed there were no flights in April ( Hurray) . She confirmed I will get refund via PP! Might take a few weeks but I will get she says. No recorded message, no putting me on hold, spoke good English.... Thankyou BA BKK
-
Update.. My PP claim denied again!. BA told them flights not cancelled (They were) BA10 7th April.
What is best BA phone number in Bangkok to use?
My son tried phoning BA UK using phone number suggested. 2 hrs later .. nothing . He used 0800 (free) number and an 0845 number (9p min) from BT landline.
I'm getting nowhere fast. Maybe small UK claims court is only option.?
I did email BA on [email protected] No reply but only 2 days so far. Has anybody sucessfully used this email for voucher or refund claim?....thanks

I've always found PP good until now. Good for buying things... If not arrive or not as described normally sides with buyer ( Ebay etc). Seems Im not the only one having bad expeiences with BA.
Which BA email address is best BTW? I used [email protected]
-
Thanks for your support and help. PP this morning told me 'not covered', as BA had told PP 'The flights wern't cancelled! They didnt show PP any evidence of this, PP just just took their word for it.
Anyway I have spoken to PP again today and case re-opened now... for the 3rd time. PP have received my proof email that BA did send me saying 'both flights cancelled'.... Email date 19th March. PP will now forward it to BA to see what they have to say.
BA website clearly shows no BA10 flights from BKK to London after 29 th March. I've supplied this evidence to PP now aswell. Why couldnt they just check? Why beleive BA everything and the customer (me) nothing? With no evidance from the seller.
Even if flights did fly , the one and only e-mail I received stated ' flights cancelled'. So I wasnt going to travel 2 hour taxi to airport on the off chance. I (did) like BA because I like Heathrow Terminal 5.
My first flight was 7th April 2020 BTW. No flights flew AFAIK, but irrevelevant as had already told me my 7th April BA10 flight was cancelled (and my 26th April BA009 flight aswell), with no further emails.

Thanks guys. PP Still say not covered . STEPHEN 100... Which email address do u suggest for BA. ?

Hi, update for anyone in similar situation. I originally opened a case with Paypal. I was suprised it was won in sellers (BA) favour. I never got to see sellers PP responses btw. But now having telephoned PP they tell me BA won because they had told PP "they didnt cancel the flights"!!! Complete lie .. i still have email showing the BA10 and BA9 flights cancelled by BA in big red boxes. I can't believe BA could lie like this, and secondly I can't believe how PP just accepted what they said.
Case now reopened, lady at PP says she can now see both flights WERE cancelled. I have forwarded her the flight cancelation e-mail from BA to. .. Lets see what happens now !

Hi , what phone number did you use?
-
In brief. I live mostly in Thailand (I'm Here Now) . Bought ticket to UK for early April, and return again end April. BA cancelled the flights (corona) . I applied for vouchers, but today 6 weeks later, they email me to say not eligible!!! .
I paid direct to BA via PP. Paypal said not eligable to . Help .. Im gobsmacked, can companys realy behave like this?. I never cancelled the BOOKING as I know this can cause no vouchers. I applied for vouchers . Now they say not eligible but dont say why. What can I do?. i tried applying again from BA website. But when I submit it says 'page gone'/not available. So has my 25,000 baht! not happy. Voucher or refund would have been OK . Anybody else in similar situation? Not tried phoning BA in UK as will probably get nowhere together with hefty phone bill...thanks

BA flight cancelation Vouchers. Has anyone actually received a voucher yet? For flights to UK and back originally booked for April?
I had flights from BKK to LHR booked and paid for 6th April 2020.. and return 27th April. Obviously BA cancelled both flights. I applied for vouchers, which website said I would get within 7 days. Its now 6 weeks and apart from one email confirming receiving my voucher request 6 weeks ago, nothing else received.
Interested to know if anyone under similar circumstances has applied for, and either received (or not) their vouchers ....thanks.
I originally paid by Paypal, and thought it would be covered by the PP warranty.... It wasn't!

Thanks Jack, mine is due 5th May. Is it 14 days prior and 7 days late permitted ? I could go now . The current amnesty is until ?
-
Great thanks. I have a 90 day report due mid May ( 1 month before the visa). Do I need to do? I prefer go to Jomtien, as only 5 minute drive. I assume no long queues.
Getting new retirement (Non O) yearly extension this month. Any new issues awaiting me?
