Top up again with the minimum amount (B50?) from next month, each time you add the minimum credit the validity is extended for another 30 days
Cool, sounds like a plan 👍

Dial *113*90*9#
I know, but that doesn't keep my balance from expiring,

A few days ago I topped up my DTAC sim with 1000 THB using online top up in 7-11.
Bought a 300 THB data package and when I checked in DTAC app today it says balance is only valid until August 4th 2024.
Which is a bit of a bummer because I was planning to use rest of balance at end of 2024 when I plan to visit again.
I was surprised because before balance appeared to be valid indefinitely, at least when using top up cards.
Is there any useful way to spend the 762 THB balance I have? I heard about "DTAC pay", could I use that and where?

Hi,
I haven't visited Thailand for 10 years so I am wondering what can I expect to pay for a meter taxi from Suvarnabhumi to Pahonyothin 21 (bit north of Central Ladprao)?
I'll be arriving around 10:30am on a Thursday.
And how much for the tollways?
Cheers!

I'm about to travel to Thailand for the first time since 2014.
I still have quite a few banknotes and coins from 2010-2014.
Will there be any problem using these notes anywhere? Especially paying the taxi from the airport.
Cheers!

I wasn't aware of the DTAC app.
I guess I could just use this app to book a data package before I leave Europe?

Thanks, but where are these codes listed on the DTAC website?
I couldn't find these codes there.
Where did you get this information?
-
I googled this page from 2019 which lists several DTAC dial codes for Internet packages, including the code you mentioned above:
https://www.multicountrytours.asia/best-prepaid-sim-card-and-network-providers-in-thailand/
Does anyone know if these codes still work in 2023?

Hi,
I still have balance on my DTAC sim card and would like to buy a data package as soon as I arrive at the airport in Thailand.
E.g. one of those packages:
https://www.dtac.co.th/en/dtac-promotion/packages/internetmaxspeed.html?bnid=20150709590
But how can I do this as long as I'm not connected to Internet yet?
There used to be a way to type codes into the phone keyboard to achieve this, but I cannot find how.
On that web page it says "Enter 10-digit phone number Request OTP code via SMS" but how can I access that page with no Internet ????

Yes it's up now, I just tried again. Thanks for the reply.
Earlier on it didn't work at all.

Hi,
currently in Europe and trying to access the DTAC website https://www.dtac.co.th/
But it is soo slow, it is totally ridiculous, like 1 character shows per minute, no graphics.
I also tried via VPN in Singapore, no dice.Just for comparison I tried AIS and TRUEMOVE sites, they work fine.
This is at 30 minutes past midnight BKK time, I also tried around 10pm before.
Is the DTAC website down today, or why else is it so slow? Does anybody know?Cheers, Farrol

Hi guys,
I haven't been to Nong Khai for quite a while, so I assume the guesthouse where I stayed last time has aged a bit.
Can anybody recommend a good guesthouse or hotel in Nong Khai?
Cheers, Farrol

Brilliant, that's near my hotel.
Thanks a bunch!
Now any suggestions for Nan?

Hi guys,
I will spend a few days in Phrae and will then travel to Nan.
Are there any places to rent a small motorcycle in Phrae and/or Nan?

Hi,
I am on a 60 day tourist visa and would like to extend it by 30 days.
Can I get this done in any immgration office, e. g. in Chiang Rai or in Nongkhai?
And I need to do this within the last 30 days of the current validity, is that correct?
Cheers, Farrol

I just noticed that DTAC now sends you an SMS with your data usage in MB when you send the code
*101*4*9#
Very useful

Thanks a million!

Hi guys,
sorry for this vague question, I couldn't figure out the TrueMove web page.
I would like to buy a TrueMove H SIM with unlimited data plan (3G), 1 GB/month highspeed + unlimited data at a lower speed would be fine.
I will be in Thailand for 3 months and it would be great if I could extend the SIM's validity by a year so I can keep my phone number until my next visit to Thailand.
Where in BKK should I buy this?
And what is the best plan to get?
Cheers, Farrol

Thanks, I will try there.

Hi guys,
I plan to spend about a week in Loei at around the end of January.
Is it possible to rent a (small) motorbike in Loei city? Any recommendations?
Cheers, Farrol

Thanks, guys!
Mae Ping national park, past Li, take the turn off to Huay Dtom and continue. Doi Tao lake is nearby.
Which part of Lamphun?
I will be based in Lamphun town.
But I wouldn't mind staying over night on my motorbike trips if there is a nice guest house somewhere.

Hi all,
I will spend about 2 weeks in Lamphun in December, visiting a Thai family and will be able to borrow a motorcycle and go around the place on my own.
Any recommendations for 1 or 2 day trips / sights / places to stay around there?
I speak a bit of Thai and don't mind at all to mingle with the locals.
Cheers, Farrol

Thanks,
the new DTAC site doesn't look bad at all. I would rate it the best website of mobile operators in Thailand.
EDIT: Oops I guess I have to take that back ... most of the links on the homepage don't work (yet, I hope).

Actually I was wrong, I just managed to extend another 30 days that way.
@pitufikken thanks, best answer!
