Does anyone find fault with the media in Thailand for the way this case has unfolded? Admittedly, I don't follow many different outlets but the few stories I've seen throughout the case seem to do nothing more than amplify the info from the police. There's a lot of talk about an " independent investigation" which I would agree with, but where is the investigative journalism that would help disclose some of the murkiest details in this case? Does that even exist here?
Still under martial law. The media are very careful and should be.

I get tired of these ridiculous "why don't they follow the driver to Mr big" posts. Every single bust is followed up by a half dozen posts of the same rubbish, how do you know they didn't???? Do you think it takes a quick thinking whitey to come up with such a cunning plan? For gods sake change the record!!

Anyone who keeps abreast of physics and the research into string theory,sub-atomic particles etc., by some of the most dedicated and intelligent experts in their fields knows that there is a distinct possibility of a myriad of universes/dimensions existing simultaneously. In fact there are quite a few from the most prestigious universities in many different countries who are convinced it is more likely than not.
Nobody is calling these physicists superstitious or crazy.
So how can anyone actually say there is no interaction between these multiple existences? How can you say... 100% sure... there is no spirit in a tree?

Of course no one can prove these things. The point is you can't disprove them either.

If you think you are being visited by aliens, gods, spirits, ghosts, or any other magical beings, just ask them for information that you can verify, specifically with a neutral third-party that would prove their existence. This would be simple for any advanced alien race, any god or heavenly being. Some ideas of things to ask for:
future lottery numbers (of course you will give all your winnings to charity)
answers to scientific problems that do have scientific answers, but aren’t yet known
exact details of major future events
But if these beings just tell you things such as:
passages / ideas from the Bible
whether you should take that new job or not
where you left your car keys
that they really exist, and others will continue to doubt you
that you should never question their existence
...or anything else which is just as likely to come from your imagination that is untestable and un-falsifiable, then you might want to reconsider the fact that your being of choice is really paying you visits

Try pricing Australian lamb in Australia!
Frenched (trimmed) lamb cutlets about 1,220 baht a kilo in Australian Woolworths supermarkets and about 780 Baht a kilo in Makro Pattaya (chilled not frozen).
How does that work???
Lamb from Villa. It may be Aussie or NZ but age and quality I think are vastly different to the country of origin.
eg. Bought my lamb cutlets from Villa. All packed nicely. Use by date in about 8 months. Remove from its wrapped packaging and tray.
Wo behold there is the original use by date sticker on a label on the lamb. 12 months previous.
Yep I ate them.
I worked with a guy who was the factory manager for a seafood company in Vietnam. According to him when the product reached its use by date they were shipped back, repackaged with a new use by date and sold on. Makes you think how many years a product has actually been out in the world since it was originally produced.

What about protection to voters from the protestors.
The Thai army is a creature of Thai "officials" and designated protesters masquerading as a democratic protest. protecting average ordinary Thai people is not their normal charter. Just look at the number of deaths and injuries in the Thai south, and you can see the Thai army's diligence, willingness, and competence in protecting ordinary Thai people or voters.
Surely it's the job of the police not the army? The army is there to protect the country from outside attacks etc, not to protect idiots who willingly put themselves in harms way by denying their neighbours and fellow countrymen the right to vote

Is that right? I think you may find the armed forces of most countries, are, by the raining constituion forbidden to be used against their own people. Mainly, in their home country, they are utilised for humanitarian and disaster relief. Police are for domestic issues.
The military should NEVER be used against their own people.

Does this mean when you fly into bkk now that you might actually get to USE one of the jetways sitting vacant rather than walk down steps to board a crowded bouncy bus to take you to the terminal? If the fees to use a jetway are so high that it is cheaper for airlines to buy and run buses then maybe the jetway fees need to be looked at?
I thought the last of the jetway avoiders left when AirAsia buggered off to DMK.

I flew Thai last month out and in both times bussed to and from the plane. As I rememeber two month previous was the same. And this is the national carrier.
