"...he ran off and after a 150 meter chase fell over. That's what caused the widespread injuries, he said. "
How many times did he fall over?

"A large number of locals and foreign tourists flocked to Bangkok’s Khaosan Road last night (Wednesday) to engage in Songkran water fights, despite the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s ban on the usual widespread splashing of water for the third year, to prevent the further spread of COVID-19...The only big events allowed are cultural ones. "
Both the jails and government coffers should be overflowing by now. Unless tourists breaking the law is now considered a cultural event.

"Cambodia is one of the safest countries in Southeast Asia."
If that's true, heaven help the rest of Southeast Asia.
As reported here, it appears that violence is increasing in Sihanoukville, or you can look up: "Cambodia gang violence".

Is it possible to translate that into Thai?

"But Thailand had a big sex industry long before the GI's and foreigners ever set foot in the country..."
And way before then. It has always been a matter of supply and demand. Eve had something Adam wanted and he was willing to give something in return (Rumor has it that he would take care of her sick water buffalo). If there is no demand, then the supply of a product or service disappears. What Chuwit is talking about is nothing more than what particular form that service takes.

It's a proven fact that worldwide, 82.842089% of reported statistics are made up on the spot.
Seriously, does anyone truly know how many people are living/visiting/hiding out in Bangkok?

22 minutes ago, John Drake said:My wife uses these a lot. Fortunately, she spends all her money as soon as she gets it, so there's nothing in her account to steal.
Plus, there's a good chance if someone steals your wife's card, he would charge less than she does. So, why report it if you're saving money?

"A Thai man and his Vietnamese wife were arrested for illegally importing the products over the border into the north east and distributing them for sale online over the last two years."
I suppose people will have to revert to the only sexual performance enhancer legally available...Lao Khao.

"...the victim was likely heavily intoxicated."
Heavily intoxicated Thai man dies as a result of his own irresponsibility is NOT NEWS. The more i read about these events, the more I am convinced it is the norm. Especially during holiday celebrations.

"The lowering numbers was in-part due to the inoculation efforts of the government and the use of a Sinovac + AstraZeneca cocktail, according to an official at the Ministry of Public Health..."
Can we see the research results please. How do these numbers compare to the Control Group who did not get anything, or the group who got a placebo? I sure hope you aren't pulling these numbers out of your ***.
“If we sat around and waited for ‘better’ vaccines then we wont reopen until the middle of next year...”
Ah. The real reason for the rush. I wonder if the scientific community (sic) in Thailand ever heard of the old phrase "Better safe than sorry". Or, is it only about the money?

"...never got the paperwork..."
Most likely meant the BROWN PAPER ENVELOPE. Which is usually all their work involves.

One anonymous Thai health official, vs. the rest of the world's health experts. Hmmm. Sounds scientifically sound to me.

"...now online learning has given parents a realtime window into the classroom.
And many do not like what they are seeing. "
I don't understand why they are surprised at what they are seeing. It should be deja vu to them, since the methods and substance of the education system has not changed in decades. What might be confusing to the student who is "learning' online is that they actually have to learn the subject matter, however outdated, and not get credit and recognition for being the first one to respond to the teacher's request. Even if it is the wrong response and has nothing to do with whatever subject is purported to being taught.

We don't need no stinkin' scientific papers.
Can anyone reference any kind of scientific evidence that the "education system" actually educates the students? They are programmed to obey, not to question, and to follow the herd. So, they will believe whatever they are told by authoritative figures. Even if the results are catastrophic.

Can't get a more objective, non partisan appraisal than that. Next thing, he'll be wearing a caped outfit, with a big "S" on the front, claiming to be able to fly.

Local officers inspect bridge in Koh Chang’s mangrove forest

"Local officials and reporters inspected a bridge..."
Looks more like they interrogated the bridge, and it confessed to a crime.
