1. The ocean isn't that interesting. Once your boat gets far enough away from land where all you can see is water, it's boring. Doesn't matter where in the world, it will look identical.
2. The only interesting place to be on a boat is next to land. With people. And restaurants, bars, shopping.
Conclusion: A boat is a tool to travel to places on land. Why not just stay on land and visit these SAME EXACT PLACES. Cheaper, easier and more convenient. [emoji3]

Sleeping on deck was great though wasn't it? On my motor yacht there was an upper deck. That got nicknamed The Sea Breeze Suite.
Fantastic actually. We hired a 40 foot cat around the Whitsunday Islands in oz. Sleeping under the stars after drinking wine and gorging on freshly caught tuna was magic [emoji4] but we had deck space to spare OP is talking smallish

Agreed. And what really put me off was the the relentless humidity. OK above deck during the day if your moving but at night below deck is an oven.

Is the idea of owning and living on a small 2 or 3 berth motor cruiser feasible ? The thought of anchoring up and spending time at different beach towns or villages and moving on when when you want a change does appeal . Are there any guys out there that are already doing this ? If so what are the requirements by Thai laws regarding licences and navigational quals ?
I imagine it would not be any different regarding visas. However If you are not a seasoned boatie then why not go to phuket yacht hire and choose a vessel. I came very close to buying a diesel cruiser myself but life got in the way again.
Look into Berthing fees as they will be your biggest expense
Regarding licence you just need a standard boat license since that's what yachties use to sail around the world including Thailand

Yeah 30% duty and 7% VAT is the going rate for footwear, next time check the customs website.
I nearly did it last week as I'm the same size but went to the big sports store central festival Pattaya 2nd floor and there were a few size 13 and at 50% discount, I guess they have trouble getting rid of them, but saved myself many thousand baht

Topps also has a deli-like-store who probably will have it. It's also called Topps though.
When i like a product a lot i go back next day and buy as much as i can use before it expires. That's the only way to be sure.

Without an income it's highly unlikely you would get a bean from a bank. They are not into repossessing condos from failed loans. They are into interest. So they absolutely need to see you have the capacity to pay the loan back.

I find this rather amusing. How much luck would Harry the hump have finding a willing flavor of the day that looks like her in his home country? If you are practicing-Catholic and want your children raised as such, and/or if you want to find a gal to bring back to the USA with you, then the Philippines is a good choice. That is based on my time there, where all gals I met saw me as a ticket to "the promised land" USA - which was the inverse of my perspective. But be aware, after a year or two in the USA, she will likely not be the woman you met and married.
